Hey Mr Newton I don’t know if you’ll ever read this but as a 22 year old lifelong pats fan I want to sincerely thank you for everything you have done and with the class and transparency and dignity that you have shown. You walked into the hardest job in football last year and did the best you could. You have completely changed my view of you before coming to New England and I have nothing but respect for you. Your a class act and perfect example of what a man should be and I wish you nothing but the best in whatever you do.

Last year between covid, and our entire defense opting out.

Other than Jules,
The cupboards were bare we had no weapons at all.
And Cam, still came in and we had a 500 year and we were very competitive.
Just goes to show how good of a leader and how talented he is.

I met Cam multiple times outside his home in downtown Charlotte. His girlfriend at the time and their child. One of the most gracious Humans I have ever met. I will sat his demeanor is a bit more calm in person, but kind to the core

He made me love football, through his career in Carolina, the Super bowl, through his injuries, through him getting cut and picked up by the patriots, through COVID and being on the patriots, and now at this point I never have doubted the talent and determination of this man and his hunger for success. he is still and will always be someone I look up to. As a lifelong Carolina fan, I really hope Cam can get a spot again soon. Much respect for everything he did for the Panthers and I’m hoping he gets another chance eventually. I was pretty disappointed when he got released, I was really looking forward to seeing him run it back with the upgrades they made in NE.

I like the fact that Cam was able to take control of the narrative that was being created. Being able to lay out all the obvious questions that come to mind and discuss them freely as if he was assessing someone other than himself.

Cam is right. Him being there would been a distraction. The first 3 int game Mac had for a loss everyone would have been saying put Cam in and vice versa. That is just what happens when you have two capable qbs on the roster and especially when you draft one in the 1st round. Everyone knows he's the future. It's just a matter of when. As a Patriot's fan I would have loved to see Cam here for another year, healthy and with better weapons around him. I think they would have been a minimum eleven win team with him. I don't think Mac is ready yet and this is an all in year for the Pats. You can tell Cam is a real pro. He is taking this better than most athletes that have accomplished as much as he has would. I wish him the best and have no doubt he will not only be picked up by another team but will be a starting qb again.

The whole release from the Patriots was fishy when it all started unfolding, especially when it was "confusion" about him going to another facility and the COVID situation where he had to stay away for 5 days. The wheels were in motion right then and there within that time frame, I believe. It was a set up and it was an easy cop out for the Pats to release him.
