I went to the JRob camp in 2008 and it changed my mentality towards hard work completely. I left that camp and I wished that I was still there, training from sun up to sun down every day. Helped me become a state champion in California. It’s sad that it no longer exists
You should 100% try to get David Taylor on! He just won his third world championship medal (also has Olympic gold). He’s one of the best wrestlers America has had in a while!
Bo's contract like all UFC fighters is shit to start. After 2 more fights, he will start getting paid and will start moving up the ranks. Aliskerov vs Bo is one for the ages
Can we please get Cael Sanderson I wanna hear about the culture at Penn state so bad from him and how he goes about structuring the program. He’s an idol in the Wrestling community and produces some of the best wrestlers year in and year out and how he knew structuring different from other colleges was going to be successful etc. Cael and jocko in the black screen are you kidding me!!!
Dude I need more athletes on here telling their story. This was the best podcast I’ve ever seen from you, just seeing his mentality really helped me with my business mentality today.

Dear Mr. Willink, you have been a big inspiration for me. I was influenced by you and Joe Rogan to get into Jiu-Jitsu. My name is Faris and I am a 21-year-old living and working in Germany. A month ago, I joined a Jiu-Jitsu gym with prior minor freestyle-wrestling background (I trained for 4 month 5 years ago when I was younger). I am currently overweight but my body seems to adapt very quickly to this sport. The hardest part was just forgetting to give your back. I have already sumbitted around every new white belt in my gym (including people taller than me and bigger than me) I have also mainted my ego and love getting humbled, sometimes I let the opponent put me in a situation that sucks just so I can learn how to survive and never complain when I get submitted by blue belts. I have realized Jiu-Jitsu has a weakness of lacking the principles of wrestling. And I have been able to take down a lot of blue belts but then I am dumbfounded and don't know what to do exactly apart from chokes. I wish wrestling and Jiu-Jitsu become a single sport
Bo Nickal, for a psu fan here, is one of if not the most exciting penn state atheltes ive watched. When he hit the elevator on myles martin in the NCAA finals to win an NCAA title and clinch the team title i think that may have been the single best moment as a psu sports fan.
The greatest opponent was facing you in the mirror everyday. Having to cut weight just to have the privilege to wrestle that day was an accomplishment in itself.
You can just tell this is a good dude through and through. One of my favorite interviews to date. Jocko's patience in letting him respond without interrupting is impressive. Great job all around.
I also love how Bo shows you can love God and be a bad ass!!! They are not mutually exclusive.. they are actually a FORCE to be reckoned with when put together!
I remember wrestling a dude that I used to beat after a 28-day JRob camp. He mobbed the floor with me. Thats when I realized wrestling year round is the only way to become a Champion. You can't half-ass this sport. Unless your some kind of outlier.
Sean Strickland and the Philly Shell. Man that was an awesome performance. Izzy didn't have his jab and couldn't figure Sean out. Most of Izzy's strikes were leg kicks that were also being deflected.
Only the very top program can recruit the way PSU does….it actually helps to emphasize the fact that they’re the best. Every recruit is fully aware of that fact…the low key professional vibe reinforces that notion. Psychologically it creates the impression that they’re not merely the best of the best, rather they’re playing a different game entirely.
Excellent, excellent interview. During his college career I always viewed Bo as a bit too cocky for my liking but I've seen interviews since then and my outlook has slowly changed. After this, I consider myself a fan. My son is 12 and wrestles. I showed him some of Bo's matches and he right off noticed Bo "helping" his opponents up off the mat after he annihilates them. He totally gets the joke. It's just a hilarious final insult / non-insult / show of sportsmanship / emasculation, glad Bo touched on that.
The Kid is a great human being and he personifies what having a relationship with the Lord is all about, In listening to this , I could almost see his accounting of his wild journey! I simply can not imagine what having that level of success is even like! Im proud for him. I hope that one day ..hopefully sooner than later He reduces the use ofbthe word "like" from his vocabulary as many of the youngsters nowadays say it ALOT.. and it can sometimes make it difficult to really listen intently . But make no mistake about it, STRENGTH,HUMILITY CONFIDENCE,HOPE This one has it and I wish him all the best in life.
It is absolutely hilarious as a wrestling coach listening to this stuff as he did all the things that people say does not work for kids. The conversation about "playing multiple sports" in particular made me laugh out loud.
As a Father & eldest sibling, I think this is some of the most beneficial content I've consumed on RUclips. Yet, here I am amazed at how similar Bo resembles Islam Makhachev, TJ Dillashaw, & a hint of Schaub-aesthetics & articulation 😂
PHENOMENAL EPISODE!!!!!! I always liked Bo as a fighter, but getting to know him as a person has seriously opened my eyes to how much of a amazing man he is!! This was dope Jocko!!!!
Good thing you explained the Jeff Manson match because I always thought you were terrible at BJJ based on that short RUclips clip. Had no idea he was a world champion.
Outstanding work guys. Tnx for praising him.

This podcast has definitely changed my whole outlook on Bo Nickal. I had misconstrued thoughts based on the media. He's a stand up guy

Damn this is great, please have more wrestlers on
Hats off to Bo, for being super authentic and not sugar coating his adversity! I'm convinced he'll be ufc champ eventually!
He has all the skills and the mentality. It's a matter of time. Can't wait to see him fight Khamzat. I feel like Bo will dismantle him.
@shizlittlebam
Aliskerov will be his first real challenge. Not sure Bo gets past that one
I got goosebumps listening to Bo talk about pinning Myles Martin in the NCAA finals. Again. What a moment!
From UK here, but can’t help recognise the greatness coming out of this podcast

Instead of training to have a chance to win....train so they have no chance to win.
Thank you for this, Bo. This is our mindset moving forward.
