I've only ever fished the Spring Run not the Fall Run so I don't know man. Best of luck, I would look into the Brule over in Wisconsin for Fall fishing.
Never heard of a "HEN", but literally live 10-12 mins away and never fished there. I guess I'll give it a go. I'm from FL been here in MN two years now. I e caught pretty much everything except Trout, Sturgeon, and Musky.
When you live that close you got to give it a try! Definitely a different way of fishing with a learning curve but nothing like it when you hook up. I usually only steelhead fish when they are on the way up the river, don't know how many would be left coming back down. Best of luck. Sturgeon and Musky in the St. Louis River too so don't be afraid to give that a go close to home.
Used to jump off the rocks into pool below waterfall up about 3/4 mi into Lester in Spring, from UMD, good memories.
I did that all the time when I was a kid too! Would ride our bikes down there every nice day in the summer.
I'm 13 and I do it with friends most weekends
Deeps.
Making my way up north first weekend of October. Could you still catch some steelhead around that time? Thanks for the video

How has the Steelhead fishing been this year? I have caught so many Steelhead in that spot when I went to UMD. [
It was really late year but the fish poured in and we had some awesome days. It's a great little spot just have to be lucky enough to get it!
@@hoganinthewild8468 yeah we would have to get up at 3:30am to get that spot most times haha
On the weekends for sure! That's the grind for steelhead.
if you dont mind what was the setup for lures u were using?
I'll try and make a video soon and dive into depth more with everything I use!
i went there yesterday and caught a 29 inch hen
Heck ya! That's a great fish!

Is this the bridge right next to Lake Superior or the one father
Second bridge up by Superior St.
How are the tribs by Grand Marias?
They are awesome if you hit them at the right time!
Is this by highway 61 in doluth lester river?
Yes, but a little higher up from the highway.
Thank you whats the best time to fish in this river?
I only fish it in the spring. The timing might be different every year for the run. For instance, it was a very late year this year.
