The main thing I always see that’s a bummer is kids trying to kick flip before they can push , like really get comfortable pushing around , tic tack , power slide, roll off curbs, go fast , learn how to fall going with the momentum roll out of a fall don’t try to stop abruptly just go with it , if you get comfortable on your board everything will be a lot easier down the line
Point 2 with the running shoes on a skateboard deck is so true. One time I was lazy and got on my friends long board with my running shoes and the running shoes actually messed up the grip. Point 3 for me is related to gear. My nieces and nephews got budget completes and those wheels were rubbish. They couldn't roll in the parking lot we skate at. So then they tried doing ollies and other stuff they see on tick tock. They messed all that up and gave up. The parents didn't realize that with those budget completes the wheels are crap 52mm 99A that barely roll on a skatepark let alone parking lot.
I think handed down boards from skaters are a much better option yeah. My first board years ago was a cheap complete and the wood started getting stress fractures very quickly I remember
If you can find some places to build up your confidence alone thats a good idea - try car parks or try and get to skate parks early so you can practice while its quiet! :)
Good tip for cleaning grip tape is to get a sandpaper rubber from screwfix, works a treat. I think they call it ‘abrasive belt cleaner’
Nice! Thanks for that
100%. Do not waste money on "grip tape eraser" or what ever they are called, the stuff made for wood workers are just as good and much cheaper.
THX!
Loving this channel bro. Keep doing what ur doing.
Appreciate it man. Thanks a lot!

Completely agree. Don't run before you can walk!
