Because at the end of the day, due to the absence of organization and the widespread corruption of leaders on every level, all that is sold out of the country it is sold for a criminally low price and in the form of raw opium instead of refined into morphin, heroin and similar much more profitable opioids.
First - you never want to export a raw product, i.e. a bag of tomatoes; if you turn that same amount of tomatoes into a ketchup or juice, you would easily triple or quadruple the amount of money.
Second - the corruption of those few who are in position of power. How do you explain that the state of 60 million citizens like France produces 25% of electricity by importing uranium from the state of Niger while 85% of Niger's population doesn't have access to electricity?

If you have a chance look up a report that was recently released out of the UK regarding their fears of an all out fentanyl epidemic now that Europe's main source of heroin has gone dry and just because the drug isn't available doesn't mean that addicts will just stop using. Opiate addiction doesn't work that way sorry to say. The Afghan Heroin connection strongly resembles the Golden Triangle heroin connection during the Vietnam War, another very suspicious instance where "WE" backed drug lords because they were the "Good" guys. 🇺🇲🙏🏽

Even then, once the water is down, it takes about 20 years till normal agriculture, a sustainable restart is possible. Keep water channels running underground and in shadow-areas to avoid too much loss through evaporition.

Food of some kind would be better, but that’s US they got them to plant the poppies for the morphine and heroin they make out of it, the vast amount was shipped to US over a 20 year period then they left in a hurry when they had enough of it. Now to many people are addicted to it. Everywhere US goes and invaded they do huge damage to the people, and opium was the main reason for the invasion nothing to do with terrorist that was just a cover story as it is in all their illegal invasions same as Iraq for their oil Libya for Gadaffi ps gold and the oil, the whole Middle East was on the US hit list for countries to invade and Iran s their next wish, they could never take Afghanistan Russia Britain US all had a go while there they were searching for other resources minerals in the ground, however it’s a very arid mountainous country, and the US found nothing so they paid the farmers to grow poppies and they got their bellies full of it for US and other allied countries to by from them at very high rates which the farmers got 0.1% of the price. Evil deeds done by US government and armed forces of NATO.

"He carries 2 small bags of opium in his motorcycle" bruh, 2 SMALL bags?!?! If those are "small" bags, I want to see what a large, even medium, bag of opium looks like. That is insane; even in the peak/worst years of my addiction, those 2 bags of opium would have probably lasted me years hahaha. Crazy how much the way of daily life and societal norms vary so drastically among different parts of the world. In the U.S., this would be the equivalent of going to a flea market/swap meet and all (or most) of the vendors there also just having bags of opium for sale amongst all their other usual goods, such as clothes or jewelry etc. That would be a sight to see for sure...
The craziest part to think about for me at least it just the fact that as I sit here watching this and typing this comment in the U.S., half way across the world these people are just selling massive bags of opium at their markets so casually and normally, something that would be insane to even think of, let alone see, anywhere here in the U.S., and solely due to cultural differences and norms. Yet despite all the geographical, cultural, ethnic, economic, etc. differences, at the end of the day, it's all from the same exact plant. A plant that grows exactly the same here in the high desert areas of Southern California, just as it does across the world in Afghanistan (and Myanmar too), and produces the same exact opium that gives the exact same effects to the user. Yet despite all of this, something such as opium remains so elusive and exquisite/rare in this part of the world, almost like something out of mythology or something akin to The Holy Grail or Arc of the Covenant or other ancient artifact.
Society/humanity is quite the strange, complex thing.

"The wages of sin are death. What you loose on earth will be bound in heaven . What you bind on earth will be loosed in heaven." Jesus humanities Christ messiah who united & warned us all about these the birthing pains of this the millennium of climate change end ties due to the mystery of the 7 star crossings Jesus held in his hand. The truth Jesus the son of God our father gave us with his new covenant new/old commandment shall set us free from the lies half truths of the pharisees/pharaohs.
