It’s a long story Guido but your enthusiasm from your review of the 991.1 GT3 helped me purchase my first gt3 . After 4 driving seasons I had the opportunity to trade up to a .2 gt3 . As impressive as the .1 was , the .2 was another 15-20 % more car in my opinion . As I live in an area with 4 seasons and my car is parked during the 5 winter months , I endeavoured to daily drive these cars the rest of the year which I do/did . I traded up the first one with over 30,000 k and I’m close to that with the .2 and would like to be considered for a trade up to the 992 gt3 . I am very fortunate to have had 2 of these cars in my life . I have German heritage and growing up always dreamt of having a Porsche but never would have thought I’d be breathing the rarified air of driving these for nearly ten years of my life . You definitely sparked something with your review . I’m sorry that the Car Review industry has made it difficult for you to continue with your reviews .

Absolutley-everyone seems to have forgotten (or perhaps are so desperate not to piss off porsche) that it’s supposed to be a driver’s sportscar. Bigger, faster, more powerful? Yes. But far less involving. And for all the talk of daily usability, the frankly ludicrously large wheels mean tyre roar is a real issue on long motorway journeys in the 992.
A car that you can take to the limit, get's boring after a few months. With the 992 the fun will not stop! I just received mine 10 days ago and it is simply the best 911 I have ever driven. If you prefer what many call traditional Porsche then do as I do and also have a 356A in the garage. I also enjoyed the drive on the open road too. You can drive this car at 30mph, 40mph….whatever speed actually. Very comfortable. The interior and dashboard are lovely and clean to the eye. It’s an overall brilliant car. I wish I coul fed get mine tomorrow. Also at th end of the event my qualified driven instructor drove it around the track. I was scared to death. Are you sure it’s fake sound inside the cabin? I saw another review where they said that they had asked Porsche and they said that it was actually air channels that bring the sound into the cabin and it has valves to open or close based on how much sound you want.
Well...Does that sound real to you or like a system that gives a different impression on the inside to what the engine / intake / exhaust actually sound like? :)
I agree with you, the new 4s is fast and enjoyable for being fast and precise machine but it cannot be driven hard or near the limit in a public roads, Could you please review the new 911 with manual transmission, and let us know how good is it?
We have been delayed on the manuals here in germany and Porsche currently struggles to deliver me testcars. Check out @Nick Murray on RUclips, he has a video of the manual
We just got our base 992 cabriolet a few weeks ago, I agree with a lot of your points. Except-if you are getting a USA delivery, there is no particulate filter installed, and the engine sounds GREAT! And so loud I usually don't even engage the sport exhaust until out of the neighborhood. You are right about the ride quality-even in Normal mode any kind of less than perfect surface is quite jarring. I have the 21/20" wheels though, they say the 20/19's give a softer ride. Keep up the great reviews, we can never get too much Porsche content!
Thanks Guido I agree absolutely with your assessment I think I'll hold onto my Carrera s manual 991.1 for another few months. I test drove the 992.1 Carrera s, engine didn't thrill me but I did like the look of interior and exterior. Thanks for the review and great to have you back
Great to see you back Guido and wow time flies, happy 10th Anniversary! I heard that it is physically impossible to fit the 4.0 naturally aspirated engine of the 718 Cayman GT4s and 718 Boxster Spyders into the 911 chassis - although I don't know if that is all true yet.
good to have you back, I really enjoy your reviews. To add to your points, Porsche was always more Bauhaus, less is more. The interior should be more like the Audi R8 or TT , they come without an infotainment display. Give me a headup display, analogue rev counter with additional digital displays around the tach that I can actually read while driving. I also don't understand why the 992 4wd drive versions cannot have a 2wd mode (if BMW M5, and Mercedes E63 can do it, why not Porsche).
As I said in the MK8 video, I want to see them offer a package (at a price) that would give us a simple elegant interior. I own the MK7 and 991.1 and feel like I have to try my hardest to keep these going for the rest of time because something is lost in the newer generations.

Nice to see you back with good quality information on the new 911/2. Please continue with your excellent reviews on Porsche. Regards John Mac
Thanks John!

Cant go wrong with a bit of 911 R :)
Just stumbled across this refreshing review! Your review speaks truth for the purists. Looking forward to more of your reviews!

What was the car right at the end with the manual? Nice shorter gears!
911 R
always good to see a new Guido Porsche review!
Glad you enjoy!
best reviewer is back
I agree with you, the new 4s is fast and enjoyable for being fast and precise machine but it cannot be driven hard or near the limit in a public roads, Could you please review the new 911 with manual transmission, and let us know how good is it?
We have been delayed on the manuals here in germany and Porsche currently struggles to deliver me testcars. Check out @Nick Murray on RUclips, he has a video of the manual
TheGetawayer I hope you get a manual one
We just got our base 992 cabriolet a few weeks ago, I agree with a lot of your points. Except-if you are getting a USA delivery, there is no particulate filter installed, and the engine sounds GREAT! And so loud I usually don't even engage the sport exhaust until out of the neighborhood. You are right about the ride quality-even in Normal mode any kind of less than perfect surface is quite jarring. I have the 21/20" wheels though, they say the 20/19's give a softer ride. Keep up the great reviews, we can never get too much Porsche content!
Thank you very much for commenting! I have no idea about the US spec, but I believe that makes a huge difference! - Guido
Welcome back! God, I love Porsche!
Love your honesty
Thanks!
Happy Anniversary buddy. Great video as always. ..you are so lucky to drive that 992. 😎👍
Thank you very much for watching! Yes, abit :)
He is aliveeeeee !!
Yes :D
Finally a new vid.
Thanks for your patience!
Thanks Guido I agree absolutely with your assessment I think I'll hold onto my Carrera s manual 991.1 for another few months. I test drove the 992.1 Carrera s, engine didn't thrill me but I did like the look of interior and exterior.
Thanks for the review and great to have you back
Glad to get some feedback from you Michael! Thank you very much for watching and commenting! - Guido
TheGetawayer is THE word on German cars... so glad he’s back!
Thank you very much for watching!
You are back! Excellent!
Thanks!
The man is back !
Hope you enjoy the new content :) More coming soon
Great to see you back Guido and wow time flies, happy 10th Anniversary!
I heard that it is physically impossible to fit the 4.0 naturally aspirated engine of the 718 Cayman GT4s and 718 Boxster Spyders into the 911 chassis - although I don't know if that is all true yet.
Thanks! I was just guessing here too, but since it's based on the 3.0 biturbo, maybe there's still a chance. - Guido
great to have you back!
Thank you!
Nice to watch a video of Guido's again. Two words, thank you!
Thansk David!
good to have you back, I really enjoy your reviews.
Thanks for your comment Sebastian!
So glad you are back 👍👍 please don’t leave it so long next time 👍👍👍👍
Thanks for watching, John!
He’s back!
YES ! :D
Great to have you back!!!!!!!!!
Thanks Carl!
Glad to see you again. As always, amazing visuals and spot on insight. Thank you.
Thanks Morgan!
As I said in the MK8 video, I want to see them offer a package (at a price) that would give us a simple elegant interior. I own the MK7 and 991.1 and feel like I have to try my hardest to keep these going for the rest of time because something is lost in the newer generations.
Good to have you back! Great review
Thanks Nick!
This is my favorite car of all time thank you for reviewing it
Thank you very much for watching, Dylan!
