The 911 is superior as a car but after seeing this I honestly think the Vantage is the one that actually makes you smile everytime you drive it. Plus, the Aston looks so damn cool inside and out.

I've had both. If you park up in a busy car park dozens will stop and look at the Vantage with admiration. Only the odd petrol head looks at the 911 as there's just too many Porsche models that look similar. The Vantage exterior is so modern and eye catching. This was actually a really constructive, good comparison. Even though I’m totally bias towards the Aston, I enjoyed the review of the Porsche as well! Goed gedaan jongens!
It’s a head and heart decision. The Porsche in many ways is objectively a better car that you will like driving…but the Aston has that emotional connection that will enable you to love it for years.
The 911 gives you a lot of confidence on the road but it completely shifts character on the track. It becomes very tail happy with a lot of understeer when you apply the throttle.
Aston Martin 👍 You can’t compare Porsche to an Aston Martin! Porsche Build around 350,000 cars per Year! Aston Martin Have built 100,000 cars in 100 YEARS and 98% of them are still on the road they are way more exclusive look better sounds much better and have much more presence! don’t even think about comparing them Aston Martin is in a different league! From someone who has owned both .
The Vantage is a beauty and talks the talk but doesn’t walk the walk! The Porsche is just so sophisticated and great. Probably the only overall car brand that becomes more valued over the years. I totally understand why!
Great video, thanks. I already own a couple of Porsche’s so I’m biased. I think the Aston does sound more exciting and it probably is marginally faster than the 911 (not that it really matters when you live in the UK and all our average speed cameras) but I’d buy the Porsche every single time. It will be more reliable and easier to drive for longer and in more situations
Heard a Vantage in real life... honestly I didn't expect it to be that loud, those turbo engines produce a lot of low frequencies, especially that "big" V8, the video doesn't do it justice IMO
So everyone is talking about the astons reliability and quality. All of the historically unreliable issues are now done by mercedes Benz. Amg motors are bullet proof and mercedes mbu infotainment is one of the best in the biz. As far as build quality the stitching, fit and finish of the aston have always been praised.
Aston martin is crazy and it feels the real sports car and loud And the Porsche is too Crazy even comparing with Aston ,Porsche is lil loud when driving normally like a formula car sound! Both are crazy💥
Excellent review with NO hiccups in the video. While being a V* GT kind of guy and liking the AM a lot, I would choose the Porsche. A GTS model would probably be even more persuasive.
Ever since I tried the 992 in a Porsche driving experience event, I’ve been completely in love with it. Everything about it felt perfect. But that Aston, damn it has a beautiful and elegant look. If I were to chose only one of them.... that would be an impossible mission!
Taking delivery of my 911 s 992 next month. I sat in a vantage. The 911s is superior. It’s German too which i love. The Aston Martin looks like a Mazda mx5. I’m unimpressed. I always go by a simple rule: do not buy British sports cars as a general rule. After market support and valuations are horrendous. Porsche, whilst not perfect, are a superior brand in nearly every where.
Porsches as a whole are infinitely more reliable in terms of build quality compared to your average Aston Martin, but I must admit that the Vantage is one of the best cars they've made in a while, both in terms of looks and reliability.
As a UK viewer - I find the pace of these reviews very good. They quickly get to the real points of interest and seem to give a balanced view. The marketing people of both brands featured here might like to know that my tendency to support the Aston gradually waned. For me, the Porsche emerged as a more practical and engaging way to enjoy that sort of motoring.
Carera S is a basic model of 911, it's not a 4s or Turbo. Not even talking about possibly incomming gt3 or higher 911 models . That only shows how much better the Porsche is.

The nervous movements of the head camera are VERY uncomfortable to watch and there isn't even one single normal and quiet view onto the exteriors of the cars.
True that, the prices with options have really crept up to where more exotic cars become a viable alternative. I do disagree on the looks: to me the 911 just looks too familiar, and boring in a way.
Suggestion: please don’t use the head camera when you are not driving, the wide angle camera doesn’t show things well and your quick head movements makes you seasick. 🤢
even een tip.. niet vloeken, nergens nodig voor. Leuk dat je vertel over dingen maar waarom. waarom stuurt die goed. wat voel je tijdens het rijden. wat voel je bij het remmen? wat zijn der mindere dingen aan de autos.
The Aston has the better design and the better sound (way better) but the infotainment is not UpToDate. So, I would personally choose the Aston Martin because it's more emotional, looks much better and the feeling of driving it is more puristic and more sporty. The Porsche is more for the everyday-drive, it's just more comfortable. So the Aston has more elegance and the "wow-effect", something like a special effect.
I would take the Porsche hands down. Don't even need to watch the video. But i've never been an Aston Martin guy, and i may be biased because my favorite sports car is tied between the 911 and the Corvette. Yes i know the 911 is objectively better than the Corvette, but something about an LS small block in a lightweight sports car gets me all excited. Now the new C8 might almost beat the 911, we will see.
love the rear of both cars, but the front of the Aston looks like the Mazda MX-5 :/ as a Porsche owner, the 911 is still better looking all around; inside and out.
@@dragospahontu I dunno. It looks like it's trying to be a super car interior but they ran out of budget. The previous gen Vantage interior felt more special to me, despite the old-school infotainment screen.
Well I have both and can see both sides but truth be told the Aston makes you feel amazing driving it and yes I get a few compliments on it every day and also you will not find paint finishes as good as you do on an Aston Martin
If only the Aston had the Porsche gearbox and they designed it so the satnav folded away. The ZF isn't a special enough gearbox imo. I bet the manual will be a hoot to drive with the dog leg gearbox making it feel like a unique experience. The 992 is probably the most sensible option and has the smartest interior, but the AM looks so mean on the road, sounds ace and is really comfy.
The Aston’s interior is a mish mash of old Ford and mercedes parts. It sounds amazing though to be fair. But your sensible head would make you buy the Porsche, and I totally agree with that.
In my view the Aston wins for looks and sound. For all round performance the Porsche wins. If you want a raw sports car then go with the Aston. If you want performance without fuss then take the Porsche.
As much as the Aston Martin looks nice from the outside, from the inside it just looks old already.

True that, the prices with options have really crept up to where more exotic cars become a viable alternative. I do disagree on the looks: to me the 911 just looks too familiar, and boring in a way.
I like vantage rather than porsche, because aston has many interior coloring option.
Hi
How are they similar when you’re not taking any corners ?
Nothing can talk to a 992
All boxes ticked = balance = finesse
Suggestion: please don’t use the head camera when you are not driving, the wide angle camera doesn’t show things well and your quick head movements makes you seasick. 🤢
the kids are lapping up his POV sht...did a survey aswell...sad.
O N L Y P O R S C H E 👍🥇
I like the outside of the AM but inside its YUK where as the Porsche is functional & neat
Vantage, with a manual. Done!
even een tip.. niet vloeken, nergens nodig voor.
The Aston has a cheesy looking interior imo.
Not really it's one of the best in class at least in terms of materials looks are subjective, this was a poorly spec black on black
@@dragospahontu I dunno. It looks like it's trying to be a super car interior but they ran out of budget. The previous gen Vantage interior felt more special to me, despite the old-school infotainment screen.
@@AS-er4ud yeah I liked the old interior as well felt classy, but the new one is still cool maybe not as purposeful as the 911.
Should've made polls in the video, 100% easier
Legit exactly what I wanted to see these are the two I’m looking at tough choice but it be the 4s
The ultimate sports car group I would want to see together is the C8 corvette, Aston Martin Vantage, 992 Carrera S, AMG GTS, Jaguar F-Type R, GT350R
My brain chose 911 but my heart chose Vantage.
The best decision came from heart. Great choice.
maybe im just dumb but im pretty sure its called a duo. @0:23 LMAO
The Aston Martin sounds so good but the interior of Porsche is something else , is unique
The front of the Porsche and the rear of the vantage are just lit🔥🔥
The outside of the Aston and the inside of 911....
@@j.i.s.l178 fair enough
Please do more video like this
Porsche has comfortable control and soft drive on speed, Aston M has nice look and attractive but they can improve it performs
The Aston’s interior is a mish mash of old Ford and mercedes parts. It sounds amazing though to be fair. But your sensible head would make you buy the Porsche, and I totally agree with that.
Aston Martin 🖤
Yeah, I think so too
Aston Martin is more special. It is a car for real BOSS.
In my view the Aston wins for looks and sound. For all round performance the Porsche wins. If you want a raw sports car then go with the Aston. If you want performance without fuss then take the Porsche.
