I agree. Sutcliffe and Harris are not putting out content as often, and I liked Jethro's content better before his switch to Motor Trend. That leaves Henry as my favorite presenter and Carfection as my favorite Channel.
This is one of the best, if not the best review on RUclips. And the car is gorgeous, would love it with carbon-ceramic brakes and sports exhaust, the sound... sweet Lord
Great review - awesome car. In the right colour combination this is a stunning car. Not a fan of the bright coloured lip and rear diffuser for example, but that’s all optional. Personally I think it looks brilliant. I wish AM all the best. They deserve it, their products have arguably never been better and they have such a broad range of cars now for such a small company from the continuation cars, amazing modern road cars and right up to the Vulcan and Valkyrie. Pretty damn impressive.
Quite an expensive option too, that green detail is part of the 'Exterior Graphics Pack' which is only available with the carbon fibre 'Exterior Body Pack'... so you can save a few grand if you don't like it.
I think it might be due to crash regs. Front bumpers and hoods are getting lower and lower and in order to fit lights that cohesively work with the design, they have to get slimmer and slimmer. See Mustang and now Camaro, both have similar things going on to lower the front.
you guys are seriously blind if you mistaken this for a miata. Sure if you don't like the looks of it that's totally fine but it looks nothing like a miata. Miaita grill is very different and its lights are way more pointy compared to aston's round lights. The Aston looks more like a baby Vulcan... A shark on wheels.
The duck tail deck lid with the tail light integrated is incredible. It’s such a shame the front end looks so bland. The grill is fine but as you move up the car the body lines are too flat and blurred looking. It doesn’t really match the rear of the car at all. I hope this isn’t the over all design language for Aston Martin’s front ends across the line for the next 15 years like the last model lol.
Carfection is the pinnacle of car reviews. Really enjoyed this review. Not sure of that Miata looking front end; definitely looking forward to the face lift. It’s kind of lost that Aston prestige look and feel with those chav design colours and blacked out roof.
It's been even more of a while, but I think with the different, more classic, grill option they've added, and in a more subdued colour, this thing looks ace.
If I have to be brutally honest I'd have the older Aston over this. Not sure exactly what it is, I'm sure this is better in about every aspect, but the old is, just a lovely thing!
Great review Henry, clicked on yours straight away and ignored the others in my list. I like how you mentioned Logan, as we know there's a resemblance ;)
Andres Luzunaris you guys are seriously blind if you mistaken this for a miata. Sure if you don't like the looks of it that's totally fine but it looks nothing like a miata. Miaita grill is very different and its lights are more pointy compared to aston's round lights. The Aston looks more like a baby Vulcan... A shark on wheels.
Sexy British chap. Sexy British automobile. Tell me Henry, when you tootle down the street in this thing, do the ladies rip off their clothes or does their kit just fly off on its own accord?
This is more like a promotional video than a review video, but there are very few channels here on RUclips that scream quality like this. Good job Carfection crew, and Henry Catchpole
Austin Apt look again. Miata lights are more pointy compared to aston's round lights. Not that I like them but they don't look like miata lights at all.
My favourite car reviewer (escapee from Evo) who's writings caused me to dig deep for a previous V8 Vantage last year may have just bludgeoned by wallet again! Wow - am I glad that the new Vantage was pulled off so intelligently by AM. Congratulations to AM for a great new lease of life to the Vantage name, and to Henry for another wonderful review.
Am i the only one that thinks that the rear end is...over-shaped? the rear fenders are where they should be, but the body's belt line narrows so much towards the rear it looks like the fenders flare and stretch out way past the body. as much of an improvement the car overall is, it just doesn't look as well-sculpted as the older cars. plus, not a fan of the headlight/grille shape. it could work, but the headlights look too short and egg-like, and the grille is too narrow at the top and flows out to the corners in sort of a gaping fish manner rather than the old car's steeper angle that shapes it nicely. i can say similar things to the rear taillights. the car's exterior details are very nice and it's all very good and well, i just don't think that they tied it in very well proportionally to flow into each other and accent each other as well as the old car did.
I would actually not buy it just for the front if I had to choose between this and an AMG GT. rest of the car looks good but the headlights are so numb and it just doesn't seem to be as elegant and well fitting together as before.
Great review, once again in Algarve, I'm surprised how popular it has got. About the car.... I can't shake the looks, it's not a hideous car by any means, but why that gapping mouth of a grill, it puts Peugeot from the 00's to shame, with the headlight design, it looks like a new upcoming Supra with a broken front bumper. I wish they would give the option of slats like in the db11, bringing it closer to the db10 concept.
Thank-you for letting me experience this amazing machine vicariously! Upon arrival here in Calgary you've convinced me I need to make time to pop by the museum ... er ... dealership ... for a viewing. Reading before, betwixt and beyond your words I perceive a work of art wherein the whole exceeds the sum. Ok - lime green notwithstanding. BTW, there's a typo in the last sentence of your description; "Find out ... IF ... that AMG engine is worth all of the controversy". tn
Mani Mirbagheri people always always always bash new car designs... Literally... No matter what new design comes out people will always prefer the old one better no matter what.... But just wait few years then they will look back and call this good looking and the cycle repeats. Even though I personally like it over the old one. Are their better looking cars out there? For sure but its still very beautiful in its own respect.
I like the looks - I don't think its better or worse looking just different. Cars change over time and I think its a very compelling complete package with significantly more performance capabilities.
This looks incredible . It's the best looking Aston and maybe the best looking car of the year . People don't realise how they don't just slap the amg engine in there they do work on it . Also like Porsche , Ferrari and many others you can replace the plastic in options with carbon or metal
You actually got the quad tip sport model, sounds so much better than the other reviews. Did you actually say Kettle of Fish? What on earth does that mean lol.
It's amazing how Mazda-esque this car looks. It's the rear of the RX-7 paired with the front of the Miata. Such a big departure from Aston's iconic design language.
Superb video; loved to see the details of the cut-out car and the in-town night shots. Also nice to see a different place to Sintra for the street part of the test (I reckon Aston is more responsible for that than Carfection is). Henry is, as usual, flawless. I hadn't even noticed the camper van before it was pointed out, must have been distracted with the review.
Shane Isaacs look again. Miaita lights are more pointy compared to aston's round lights. Not that I necessarily like them but they look nothing like the miata lights.
With Catchpole now on Carfection, i'd say these are the best car videos on the internet
I agree. Sutcliffe and Harris are not putting out content as often, and I liked Jethro's content better before his switch to Motor Trend. That leaves Henry as my favorite presenter and Carfection as my favorite Channel.
Ollie for sure, especially now that motor trend has gone all commercial
Ollie definitely, Henry is a terrific presenter. Need Jethro on board too!
Once again, Catchpole showing why he's the best in the business.
Matthew Hafer agreed
He should Join Chris Harris pm top gear. They're both amazing.
Lordy Henry does great reviews.
Welll....homework can wait
Good that your review is out already. Now I don't need to bother with the others.
That car is STUNNING. Great review as always, Henry.
So calm yet enjoyable. I'm talking about the video. 👌❤️
In some angles, the front reminds me of the 2nd gen Mitsubishi Eclipse
I got used to it, and now for me is one of the most beautiful cars of this generation
I feel carfection is trying a lot of new things in this review. Very successful.
Looks like a Corvette or front end of an MX5/Miata or a flattened front of 90's Supra. Doesn't look enough like an Aston. IMO.
Again, Henry and the chap behind the camera are killing it.
This is one of the best, if not the best review on RUclips. And the car is gorgeous, would love it with carbon-ceramic brakes and sports exhaust, the sound... sweet Lord

Yeah a forest green with vintage gold wheels and a bright orange accent would be cool though and a nice throwback to their older racecar liveries
The embargo on reviews of this car is over they are all dropping now. But this channel has wonderful cinematography and henry
Vantage vs F-Type SVR vs 540C
Battle of the Brits
What a review!!! The production quality and cinematography is broadcast quality. More of a tv show than a RUclips channel 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Stellar work Henry, thank you
What a magnificent review! That green outline in the first car is TERRIBLE, though.
Quite an expensive option too, that green detail is part of the 'Exterior Graphics Pack' which is only available with the carbon fibre 'Exterior Body Pack'... so you can save a few grand if you don't like it.
Best reviews on RUclips!
Like the rear end but overall the previous vantage looked much better.
Scratch that. Just watched more of the video, don't like the rear. Also the front looks terrible. Looks blank of any details and lights too small.
@@SwiperNoSwiping458 This vantage looks much better
Why are the headlights so damn small?
Klasse Act MX5 style
I can't stop seeing that too. Not that I don't like an MX5.... But this is an Aston!
I think it might be due to crash regs. Front bumpers and hoods are getting lower and lower and in order to fit lights that cohesively work with the design, they have to get slimmer and slimmer. See Mustang and now Camaro, both have similar things going on to lower the front.
Agreed those lights have no place on an Aston, you buy an Aston to get an Aston face, not an MX5 face, shame because the rest of the car is stunning.
you guys are seriously blind if you mistaken this for a miata. Sure if you don't like the looks of it that's totally fine but it looks nothing like a miata. Miaita grill is very different and its lights are way more pointy compared to aston's round lights. The Aston looks more like a baby Vulcan... A shark on wheels.
The grill and headlights really ruin the look of the car for me. Such a shame as the last gen looked so good.
Great video as always though.
It actually looks much better in the flesh but beauty is in the eye of the beholder as they say
i thought the same but overtime it won me over. Just try to let it sink in and you’ll get it
I actually had the opposite experience, I liked it better the first time I saw it, and less so now.
Last gen looked a bit boring to be fair
Alex Stachos Subero me to

Love this content 👏👏👏👏👏👏

Not sure of that Miata looking front end; definitely looking forward to the face lift. It’s kind of lost that Aston prestige look and feel with those chav design colours and blacked out roof.
It's been a while, has the front end grown on you? and have you seen any specs that are a little less chavvy?
It's been even more of a while, but I think with the different, more classic, grill option they've added, and in a more subdued colour, this thing looks ace.
The quality of the video is amazing. So well produced, and Henry as always very calm but interesting.
Dear Henry,
I wonder, what good deed did you do in a previous life to deserve such a great job? Wonderful review and great camera work/editing.
The new Vantage looks spectacular in the flesh, even though it can look a bit odd in print and video. Can't wait for the manual to arrive.
The best video about the new Vantage. Awesome work.
I absolutely love how it looks but I can't shake its similarity to the MX-5 ND
Well done Henry another A++ review. Keep them coming!
Yours was the best review thanks
If I have to be brutally honest I'd have the older Aston over this. Not sure exactly what it is, I'm sure this is better in about every aspect, but the old is, just a lovely thing!
I love your Logan reference. It made me understand hiw good you think ths Vantage is. If only I had $200K.
This is the first his videos I've seen and I'm hooked!
Just needed to whip a PPK out of the glove box Henry! Epic video as always fellas.
What a fantastic review! Carfection living up to their name with this video and Henry Catchpole presenting!
Excellent video and photography. Does the Vantage come with the emergency rear facing machine guns or oil slick?
Like the direction that Aston Martin take in its aggressive styling. My dream car.
Great review Henry, clicked on yours straight away and ignored the others in my list. I like how you mentioned Logan, as we know there's a resemblance ;)
Press the red button! Cracking video Henry and co. 👏
Fantastic review with great cinematography! Carfection is love.
Henry Catchpole is the best car review presenter 😘😘😘.
Like the Watchmen reference. Great movie
Make it simple Henry, just say that it looks like a Mazda MX-5, zoom zoom!! Lol Well review as always.
Andres Luzunaris Bwoah! It really does.
its a Miata hahaha
Andres Luzunaris you guys are seriously blind if you mistaken this for a miata. Sure if you don't like the looks of it that's totally fine but it looks nothing like a miata. Miaita grill is very different and its lights are more pointy compared to aston's round lights. The Aston looks more like a baby Vulcan... A shark on wheels.
Eventus Vantos they look like an nc1 miata
I really don't see the resemblance...
Sexy British chap. Sexy British automobile. Tell me Henry, when you tootle down the street in this thing, do the ladies rip off their clothes or does their kit just fly off on its own accord?
Henry always delivering the best!
As always, amazing video production!
Henry catchpole is one of the best reviewers with his calm cool vibes. Intelligent young man.
This is more like a promotional video than a review video, but there are very few channels here on RUclips that scream quality like this. Good job Carfection crew, and Henry Catchpole
I was just about to go to bed...then this. Absolutely glorious.
Great review, brilliant reviewer, brilliant car, cheers Henry. Absolutely gorgeous back end imo. Stunning.
The front kind of looks like a Honda CR-Z. I hope they change it.
No one makes reviews quite like you. and the car is stunning, i would give anything to own one.
Your videos are really fabulous...
Algarve looked better than ever!
the headlights are Miata but otherwise an awesome car!
Austin Apt look again. Miata lights are more pointy compared to aston's round lights. Not that I like them but they don't look like miata lights at all.
Eventus Vantos they're not identical but that's even more ridiculous than what I said
I thought the button on 4:18 was just a cover for a 12V socket. Maybe red so you can find it, since they tend to be lost on old cars.
Simply amazing and massive want 🙌 - production quality is of the highest order and Henry’s delivery. Wow
Thank god a proper review
That sound are Meanie . i like it. and it look really shiny on streets.

You're right. The rear looks like as if they tried too much to make the car look cool, but ended up with an awkward look.
I woke up early and I am not disappointed. Henry pulled it off again.
Thanks for another great video, Henry. Keep up the good work!
I would actually not buy it just for the front if I had to choose between this and an AMG GT. rest of the car looks good but the headlights are so numb and it just doesn't seem to be as elegant and well fitting together as before.
Yeah!!
And that's what you call a review.
What a wonderful design. I haven't driven them but this looks like it compares pretty favorably with its estranged sibling the AMG GT.
Love the car. Top review again. Had one a week now and there’s nothing in the review to disagree with so far. Great fun.
This is a great channel.
This is the best video you guys have put out to date! And that vantage!! What a car! Well done carfection!
Great review, once again in Algarve, I'm surprised how popular it has got. About the car.... As opposed to many other peoples beliefs, I actually really love the looks of this car. I honestly think it looks better than the previous gen

The new Vantage is so beautiful that when I went to view one it took only a second to say I want you. Love at first sight. I bought it in Onyx Black.
saw one subtlety parked in my village near Newport pagnell, about two weeks ago, and I was just "what the f*ck is that, it looks incredible!"
I want this. A return to form for Aston Martin.
This is a perfect car. It does not look fancy like ferrari which gets noticed everywhere.
Just wow, This is a very sweet looking beast.
really high quality stuff you deliver
This looks incredible . It's the best looking Aston and maybe the best looking car of the year . People don't realise how they don't just slap the amg engine in there they do work on it . Also like Porsche , Ferrari and many others you can replace the plastic in options with carbon or metal
Gotta love Bradley wiggin’s car reviews.
The production value.
Henry is the best!
I can't stop noticing the panel gaps after it being pointed out in another video. Guess I'll have to get it in black 😉.
Very good review Henry.
The Vantage suits you well *;)*
You actually got the quad tip sport model, sounds so much better than the other reviews. Did you actually say Kettle of Fish? What on earth does that mean lol.
It's amazing how Mazda-esque this car looks. It's the rear of the RX-7 paired with the front of the Miata. Such a big departure from Aston's iconic design language.
You just have to put a rotary engine in it. LOL
Is it just me! Or does this thing looks like a cross between a ftype and a FD rx7?
Well done Henry. Fab.
Another great review from Henry, god I’m glad this car is as good as it looks!
What a fantastic video of an amazing Aston. Car-Fection indeed!
Amazing work yet again!
I love that green!
They should use that red button to temporarily up the boost so there's an extra 20-40hp.
i live in thailand and the starting price for the bottom of the range vantage is 460 000 gbp. due to import tax
Great work, Henry and always
Mazda MX5 lights?
Good without being great.
Shane Isaacs look again. Miaita lights are more pointy compared to aston's round lights. Not that I necessarily like them but they look nothing like the miata lights.
I want to know what you actually said on the part about the camper van.
