Getting a "pro" like Tony doesn't necessarily make it better. At first, I was kind of impressed seeing the horizontal placement of the ceiling speakers. With 8' ceilings you are just under the 2.4m required by Dolby as minimum to adhere to their official standards, placing them horizontal gains a few MM. Then I realized that those metal brackets could have been half length, thus defeating the purpose of having the speakers on the side. Then a spike went thru my heart when I realized he made 2 holes to hang the A7V sideways - all for nothing! A "pro" would have shortened those brackets (nothing to it, grinder and a drill, a touch of black paint). I can't unsee that, I'm gonna have nightmares about those long brackets. I've just finished installing the same setup, hanged them upside down thus gaining a few Cm, just about touching the ceiling, attached by the 4 holes that come in the A7V's. Bitter sweet about the Adam A7V's - they look and sound great but I currently can't get the "A Control" soft, it's being re-done, they found a bug in it. That should not be a problem, we all want to improve the gear but after registering my speakers with their "MyAdam" account I've received (not instantly, after 24 hours) a confirmation email that I am now able to download the A Control when I log into my account. I went crazy for 3 days not finding it anywhere in MyAdam. I've emailed Adam support several times, nothing. In the end I've called their Berlin headquarters on the phone (at 1 AM Pacific time). A nice guy explain to me the bug problem and he expressed his frustration with their other departments for not properly communicating with customers and informing them about the developments. Also, the Sonarworks version that Adam so much advertise that we get a 60 days period for free - IS NOT THE MULTICHANNEL Sound ID! I bought 11 Adam A7V's for Dolby Atmos setup, now I can't load my Sonarkorks into them. Frustrating much? Let's just say the honeymoon was ruined. Marian
Here's a question I have that is really bothering me. I absolutely LOVE Adam monitors and the Dolby ATMOS system. I have a consumer Dolby ATMOS playback system in my family room with an Onkyo 11.2 receiver and Klipsch consumer speakers. I asked Disc Makers how I could make a Dolby ATMOS cd for my music, and they told me I could only do physical ATMOS with a Blu-Ray disc. If the majority of music listeners today don't even have cd players anymore,HOW do I make an investment into Dolby ATMOS in my studio COST EFFECTIVE? Are there any streaming platforms that stream in ATMOS? Since most people can't afford a Dolby ATMOS playback system,WHO are we going to sell ATMOS product to? Does Apple, or Samsung, or LG, Or Huawei make cell phones that can play back ATMOS? I'm afraid that this is an excellent product with no one to sell it to.
@@Sheriffvlogs Don't you have to hook up the phone to an ATMOS receiver? There's no way you can get the same sensations out of earbuds. And if you have ATMOS on Tidal & Apple, don't you still need the proper playback equipment?
Tony is truly a beast 💪🏼💪🏼
Love to see you killing it Tony
