i honestly have no idea what the hell is up with people comparing the halves of the song, they both feel very happy to me. it feels like there's some sort of hidden thing in the song that divides people that i just can't hear or something.
At 2:15 there's a key change and some people find the second key a little “sadder” than the first due to convention & precedence
As much as modern Bossfight’s dubstep tracks are cool, you can never forget that this is how he started off, and I love it!

I personally think this is your best work, it always makes me cry from the awesome, it's got that special note that hits you. Also, it reminds me of VGA, I spent the majority of my life watching the beginning from AVG up to where they are now, and this song just reminds me of how awesome they were and still are. Christ this was nine years ago? Well VGA and AVG are Video Games Awesome and Awesome Video Games respectively, they're both on the channel farfromsubtle. AVG was the first show and it's in scripted format. It was a parody of like 80s video game commercials and culture, I highly recommend it to this day. VGA was a "spinoff" that's a more "sit down on the couch and play video games with the bros" show. It eventually completely dwarfed AVG in popularity so hard it became the flagship and eventually _only_ show they were doing, especially when it became Video Games Awesome LIVE!, which is obviously a live stream format. Their setup is actually rather cool, especially since they started streaming on JustinTV back in like 2011 or 2012. Many streams didn't, and probably still don't, look like that. I'm gonna be honest with you, modern VGA is really bad. Fraser and Becky (the main host and his gf) moved to Japan without any of the other members, so now there's no one to bounce Fraser's cynicism back at him to create a funny dynamic. It's kinda hard for me to look at the series fondly anymore after what it's become but I'm sure the old stuff is still good. I highly recommend any of their old Minecraft, Zelda, or Ace Attorney stream series! And I guess as a sign off, Becky was the inspiration for Hat Kid's design in A Hat in Time, and idk for sure but I think the mafia were modeled after Fraser. You can even see their names in the Special Thanks of the credits! Sorry for the long rant but AVG and VGA were a HUGE chapter in my life.
Edit: the reason i brought them up in the original comment is because they played this song a lot on stream
Oh another stream recommendation is their Deadly Premonition series. That stream changed my life, not a joke.

This kinda sounds like a video game when your most faithful ally became the boss. Like,the light parts are the memories,and the loud parts are the fight itself. The first part was the easy one,where the mc hopes that the boss will come back,and the second part is them giving up hope. Loved the song!
