not only did you tell me how to get best fps possible within 5 minutes, youve also explain concepts that i didnt really understand before. Good job man
yerp 😂😊❤
@@Obsidian___Gamingmore fps = less input lag, the best thing to do is to cap at around 90% gpu usage.
@@lilililiililili6363 do you really think that's worth the suffering of your 0.1% and 0.01% lows?
@@footballnations9522 1% lows are fine if you have a good ram and sufficient hardware
@@footballnations9522 doing a high but not unlimited cap like he said fixes that
Love your stuff sly jack. I was wondering if you could make an updated optimal binds video with joystick movement. I just ordered one but don't know the best places to move stuff around with 4 new keys open but no thumb.
Great job explaining everything. Very helpful.
Nice video, the information that you give help to understand why you choose a specific setting
this was actually mad informative, straight to the point and useful
Use capped he does not know what he is talking about
@@Operationdrilly. did you watch the video nerd?
Thanks Bro! Keep up the good work.
DONT put it on unlimited, you need stablility not inconsistency , but you should put your view distane higher
@@LegendZzFTW finally a commenter that knows how this stuff works!
bro did not watch the video
so informative, really good job!
U earned a sub man great video i wasnt using the proper nvidia settings thx Brother In shaa allah u will do more better in the future
Thanks dude! i have an 165hz monitor and i always got around 110 to 170 fps and now i have 270 to 300plus its way smoother now and less input lag keep up the good work!
Thank you for this perfect video, I’m interested in the video about the best settings for nvidia control panel😊
I know I'm 9 months late, but finally someone who explains the settings that they change. I've seen so many guides like this and they all just say "so basically this boosts your fps, too" and stuff like that. But you explained everything, so I finally don't have to worry about one setting breaking my game. Thank you for that
Damn thanks! I mean I understood a little bit of all this before, but video is so well made!
Thanks, you’re always very helpful. 🙏
Bro your videos are straight fire
Got a refurbished SFF PC this summer (no special GPU just good ole Intel) This video REALLY helped 💯
Just found out about your channel, have to say……….you earned another sub🤝🏾
most usefull video i found jet thank you !
this worked way to well thank you so much
dead ass this helped a lot thanks :)
i play on mac using geforce now and you just helped me so much to get better settings for a better performance, much love
Depending on the screen, and even with a high refresh rate, uncapping the Fps quite often causes tearing and suttering, something you really don't want to have.
Well of course, but you get more FPS and less input latency, that's the point, everyone in comp Fortnite wants this setting turned on especially if u have reflex which eliminates the stutters
@@xmdani4165finna still used capped i dont care about that 0.1 latency difference
Bro.. Its very big work! GJ!!!
He do be the scientist we need
that's some high quality video my guy
Keep reticle ammo indicator on!!! As far as I know, there’s no way to tell which magazine of the twin mag you’re on besides the indicator, unless there’s another visual aspect I’m missing
He said to keep it on in the video
this deserves a like bc not only did he explain what he says in the title, he goes way in depth to make sure that even someone building a computer and trying to learn at a young age can very easily understand. props man.
Although Nvidia reflex low latency when on+boost does reduce latency it does lower fps. so lets say you have a low end pc then put it off if you have a medium end pc then put it on and if on a high end pc then put it on+boost.
For the low latency lowerd my fps when i turned it off its good thanks for the other tips.
thank you so much bro!! 😭
Dang bro he covered more bases than every other RUclipsr, big ups
keep up the amazing work! thanks to you im averaging 400+ fps instead of 200-240 fps
btw if you guys have amd gpu you get better performance in dx12 then performance mode (go into files and change building mesh)
ouuu. so i heard sb say dx11 was better for and then performance but na u sayin dx12 so imma test between both. but im wondering how do i change the meshes
You and codelife safe us so much time and also explain things better than another T&T youtubers. thank you
You really shouldn't base your settings on codelife bro
codelife?? dont trust him bro
Do not follow Codelife.
Performance Mode on AMD Cards is nearly unplayable, since the Card automaticly is putting down the clock speed if not needed. For AMD Cards ALWAYS use the dx12 or if you have bad Cards the dx11 mode
I have 30fps on d11 and 100 on Performance? 😂
Are u sure bro i have a 6600xt and my fps always goes down if i switch ti dx 12
@@necrolord5799 They fixed it with the last driver Update, you have to set the minimum clock speed in your overclock settings 100mhz lower then the max then its working
@@iplayonwii69 so set it to dx 12 still?
@@necrolord5799 No, you can Play Performance Mode Aswell if you have the newest drivers
tysm man. i went from an unstable 100 fps to 200+
GPU longevity/power efficiency, or potential input lag. I think it comes down to whether you are competitive gaming. Not sure I want to leave every game uncapped and turn my 4090 into a space heater. Also, noticed some games like GTA:Online get stuttering when uncapped.
Capping frame rate is good having anymore than your monitor just makes your pc work harder
Educate yourself please
i have never paid more attention to classes this is better than my classes
very nice video!
well explained and shortly said , W vid
DX11 has actually been giving me huge stuttering.. Which is unusual.. I have a core i5 4670k so dx11 is usually the better option in general as i dont have much cpu power i can't really utilize the benefits of dx12 and its ability for better computing and higher draw call stuff. i have an rtx2070 super so yeah my cpu is a bit far behind for what i have but i play games at 1440p in other games the gpu horsepower really helps compared to my old 1060. Huge gains in dirt rally 2.0 even at the higher resolution for example. I should upgrade cpu but its just im not rushing into it just yet. All games i pretty much turn off reflex if its an option as its been holding my frame rate back a bit and it just feels weird. I have a vrr monitor and games i play dont usually run over 100fps nvm 144 for the refresh rate lol. I know it sounds poor but im used to lower frame rates. So having over 60 for me its a god send but if im to play BR games 80 is usually the starting point i need preferably more but i've noticed as my system stays the same its the games that are getting worse for performance requirements. What was once recommended when the game came out is no where near close enough for a good experience few years down the line. Multiplayer games mainly. Hell i ran fortnite at high settings on a gtx480 once when that game was new. im medium high low settings now with a freaking rtx2070 super on the same god damn map..
A 4670k with a 2070 super? You really need a new cpu. Something like a 13th gen i3/5 it’d help a lot
YOOOO my old computer has that cpu just got a new one.
Need a new CPU man.
the bottleneck is crazy
brother is using a 2012 CU ☠x7
very underrated youtuber
View distance needs to be set to near on pc. Any other options and it renders grass that most don't know that, you are not hiding behind. Maybe these people don't want you to know this for easy kills.
With all due respect, but you are totally wrong. You can put grass off in the settings, it won't render grass.
ty so much
HOLY I LOVE YOU BRO YOU MADE MY FPS GO FROM 240 TO 500 ILY SO MUCH
Wow thx🔥
Thank you
I'd recommend not to use in-game fps cap, but instead use RTSS (It comes with MSI Afterburner, the installer would ask you if you want to install it), it would work on any GPU, be it nvidia, amd or intel, it provides the best input latency by having the lowest frame times possible.
I've been using it with Reflex On+Boost for a while and it's great, the only time I have bad FPS is when rendering the whole Mega City.
Also, using fps cap can reduce heating, resulting in longevity of your hardware.
this will give you lowest frame times but will add 1 frame of delay
so...capping ur fps is good for your pc?
@@thehumoriority2859 I'd say for fortnite as long as your pc isn't getting too hot just leave it uncapped 👍
@@blakethenoobie1433 why would you leave your fps uncapped. just cap it to your monitor's refresh rate.
@@Kcryzxit lowers input delay with nvidia reflex, he explains in the video.
Basically same video but additional stuff added from Chapter 4
Nah but fr u are the one content creator of fortnite everyone needs!
do you turn on reflex low latenmcy in nvidias control panel settings as well?
Finally a person that gets straight to the point and also explains why in simple words.
Nice video and all but what about amd?
Good video, but I got to say that you should investigate a little bit more about nvidia reflex because it isn’t always good to have it + enabled or not even enabled
He said everything that needed to be said, it just makes ur gpu work harder, its just like sprinting while on the rails in mega city, it will make you go faster (in this case your computer) but for a while.
@@theo328d Nvidia reflex can cause fps drops on cpu bottlenecked pcs
Stretched res FTW. F field of view. When you cranking 90s and editing on bots you want large a cross hair and narrow a field of view as you can handle.
this video was very helpfull but i cant get over 100 fps in tournaments with dx11 meanwhile i get over 200 with performance mode
What about AMD users who dont have Nvidia reflex + boost?
i use dlss on dx12 for more fps than performance and i think it's way nicer
Testing is flawed. Dx12 is better for CPU bound scenarios. Almost anyone who has a GPU from the past decade can be CPU bound with the right settings. When you are testing, you were gathering data during games with 1-2 players, which does not allow for DX12 to shine when it comes to parralel computing. In a real game, you will find that while moving with a lobby of actual players, DX12 will outperform PM on average (outside of mega city) reducing your latency.
* in addition to mega city
Still, PM>DX12 in visuals, I dream of the day when Epic would actually make it possible to enable DX12 for PM and not have animations for everything.
Also, the game itself is pretty poor with multithreaded loading, better than CS:GO that runs on DX9, but still hugely benefits from pure performance per core.
@@deblxdee This is very true! One day.
@@deblxdee I would like to see that aswell
@@deblxdee real
capping your frame rate at any number. liiterally any number gives lower latency. just the fact its capped give less latency even with relfex on.
Great video
what does PML and PMH mean in those graphs?
youre an angel god bless you bro
Battle nonsense did a bunch of testing on input lag and uncapped is really bad compared to capped
I am on a five thousand dollar laptop and I can run directX12 with pretty good frames. Should I continue using Directx12 or switch to 11?
this was a great guide but I prefer my game to look pretty. I have a 165hz 1440p display and unfortunately I get between 70 and 110 FPS with my game looking good so I don't really utilize the extra refresh rate but I enjoy the game anyway.
if you could do a guide for best looking yet high fps settings I will gladly watch it.
for anyone interested in my specs I have a i7 9700k cpu and a 3080ti gpu
you'd think this combo would let me reach the 200 fps mark with high settings but it appears that even with DLSS enabled I can't reach the 120fps
so I tried many things like disabling the ray tracing and texture quality and all the other settings but really all I can manage is a 20 to 30 fps diffrence that I don't find worth it. if I can't get constant 165fps and have a decent looking game then I rather play the 80 fps great looking game with ray tracing
Insta clicked cuz never been dissapointed by sly jack

stop glazing
The glazing is crazy
bro the master of glaze
what about boxfights, I'm always gpu bound like 99% time with 90+ gpu load. if I turn down settings my cpu cranks up and my game feels choppy
Why do I get higher frames when I'm in dx12 rather than performance mode? Pls help?
is this bad on your monitor if you always have unlimited on?
This video is just great.
These helped me so much I went from 144 hz to 400 - 300
u mean fps u can't go from 144hz to 400 300
Shut up what do u mean 144hz to 300. U dont even know bout pcs lol
@@gregoryfumberbard2211 yes u can u just need a new monitor
@@gregoryfumberbard2211it’s a joke fuck wit
nuh uh
wait so can u put ur game back to performance mode after u change the settings in dx11
If you run AMD, use DX12
I tell you why sometimes YOU SHOULD CAP YOUR FPS i play on a very very very weak pc so i cap it at 30 fps when i put it to unlimited my game started lagging and crashing and it was actually bad
note: i don't have the on+boost thing to keep the queeu clear
When I cap my fps to my displays refresh rate I get really bad screen tearing, whereas if I leave it uncapped I don’t get screen tearing but I do get pretty bad stutters. Is there a fix for this? And My monitors refresh rate is 60 hz
If you run g-sync and don’t cap to just under your monitors Hz then you are adding a tonne of latency. So don’t do that. If you actually test latency with a 360Hz monitor with Nvidia Reflex Latency Analyser in you will see that in Fortnite DX12 is much lower latency AT THE SAME FPS than Performance Mode (dx11) since drivers 522+ and HAGS enabled. Also DX12 has better fps lows and given every 30fps drop is 1ms latency, you are adding even more latency in performance mode which has bigger drops. RTSS also helps with fps drops, gives consistent frame times that help with muscle memory and adds no significant latency (0.1-0.2ms). Moral of the story: tune your pc, use dx12, cap in RTSS to just under your monitor Hz, use PRESET low and then turn off anti-aliasing and set your 3d res to 100%. Job done.
so tell me i have 240hz monitor and i have 120 fps in fortnite tell me which setting should i apply ?
u think dx12 if i have a cpu bottlenecking me?
bro explained the FPS side of fortnite (no hate and i love ur vids!!!)
Please make one for Chapter 5
for stretched i need it for fps, are there any alternatives
I can’t lie i have more edit delay in fortnite w performance mode then DirectX11 lmao :) any idea how that’s possible?
Do you know why when I apply DX11 and restart my game it switches back to performance mode?
what is the creative map code that shows all those settings on screen
These settings made my PC insane 9 months ago. Now my PC has these stutters that are terrible
My monitor is a 1440p monitor natively. Is this ok for Fortnite to play 1440p if my pc can handle it?
don't turn on low latency to on + boost. You're effectively running your graphics card on maximum at ALL times. just use on, as the difference is negligible.
most people actually want to get the full capability of their gpu, I personally hate when i am getting low or stuttering fps while my gpu is only working at 40%
its your cpu not gpu problem .@@siytz.w
Should i have fps on unlimited Even with Gsync on? Can u do g synd tutorial or explain if u should turn it on/off
Turn gsync off
Capping refresh rate to your monitor is not for lower latency, its to have a more consistent input delay that doesnt fluctuate so your muscle memory can fine tune. Muscle memory is harder when the input delay is changing from lower to higher all the time, less consistency brain no likey.
great point
+unlimited fps skyrockets ur temps on any game
Not true, battlenonsense did a video on this that proves how much more input lag you get with uncapped, capping it does make it more consistent but it also LOWERS it by a ton
sadly i dont have the nividia settings because i have amd

@@suavecu7513 Well, the FPS stuff isn't accurate to context. You are supposed to cap your frames at the intended rate your monitor and hardware can boost at, the more you boost over the more lack of input you get with latency and rpt

when i use preformance mode it makes skins and things very hard to see ik that it gives fps boost but when i see other ppl using preformance mode it dosent look like mine for some reason btw when ppl use preformance mode it locks the meshes to high? but mine dosent could that be the problem
What about high vs low audio quality?
coil whine is a problem for my pc when I use 360fps+ unfortunately.
This happen on every pc
yeah its not that bad for me
Theres literally no difference between on vs of with with reflex ok performance mode tho bc the game is always cpu nomatter what, so its actually better to have it off on performance mode
Textures should be on epic. It gives better 1 percent lows
