Mannnn this why YUGItubers losing credibility, trying to hype a bad set like always. You didn't even consider the price point of the product, over charging for cards that already been reprinted to the grown.
It’s not even that bad… there’s good cards in this set that people needed. Just because everyone was coping that we’d get reprints for more recents cards just shot themselves in the foot and are now crying about it.
@@PartyMarty321 at $120 a box, there's a huge expectation for more recent cards my dude. If it was $70 like the first box I don't think it would be that much a problem.

It is overpriced. I mean you even don't have a chance to get a card with high value (like Little Knight in AGOV) out of it. Garura, dragoon etc., there are so many reprints now, that even the 25th century rarities won't be much worth.
@@b.belmont8193the only issue is price we’ll don’t buy the box just get singles like the last set. The set is really good and all the cards will go up since they are staples and some of the highest rarities for them. This is the last year for 25th they are milking it just get singles
It absolutely was NEVER gonna match the hype and expectations met by RC1. And it seems like the community is VERY MUCH split on it. Missed opportunities like Kurikara, Chaos Angel, and Triple Tactics Thrust for example.

Could it be worse? Yes. Could it be better? Also yet. Again, yes. RC1 was SO good, I wasn't even sure if a second RC could actually beat it. And also note that there are NO repeats of any cards from RC1 in RC2.

if this set was the same price as RA01, people shouldnt have anything to complain about.
but with the price being basically double, people expect better cards, but the trade off is theres 216 cards per box instead of 120.
This set unfortunately is not one that will be best for everyone to buy sealed though

One of my main issues is they gave us a reprint of Kashtira field spell but no reprint of Fenrir, Tear Kash, or Unicorn. I also really wish they had Super Poly in this set because they included Garura
Chaos angel just got a reprint same as kurikara and thrust: you will have to wait until the megatins for those to be reprinted again
Everything that people wanted is 100% going to be in the tins except kashtira stuff
Are we looking at the same set? This set is ass compared to the first one. It didnt even need to surpass the first one. Just maybe have a few cards of value like thrust, fenrir, or Kurikara. Saving them all for the tins is such a scummy move since with 400 cards in the tin set, the prices will hardly drop

Rarity 2 had the potential to be better, but it wasn't going to happen, all those cards are going to the tins like you said. A lot of the cards in this set just can't be in the tins based on when they were released.
I'm looking at it individually, not comparing to rarity 1 when I say it's awesome. Because it offers great reprints that are relevant and less duds (no Ice Barrier, Wynn, etc this time around)

It needed another value heavy card( like thrus) similar to prsperity to make it worth it. Now questioning if I really want to buy it
yeah it could use that, but it did give a lot of awesome reprints that may not have been new cards but that were needed.

The reprints are bad in general - a thing alot of Yugi-tubers forget to talk about, especially Konami's content creators, is the fact about that a single box cost around $120,00 atm
Sure you'll get alot of reprints of older cards but when you're reprinting some popular field spells but not cards that goes with it, the set itself is more bad that you think.
Overall the set is still something I'm going to open, but it was a failed set - even tho we got 83 cards instead of 79
Everyone that actually thought the good cards from the upcoming 2024 Tin were gonna be in this set are actually stupid.

a lot of reprints to cards that didn't need them but if they included 1 of Fenrir or chaos angel or kurikara or SP or wanted or some many other cards, I think players would say it's worth it
@@MattOsheaYGO yes, if 2-3 of the cards you mentioned were included then the set would be very good. now, most of those cards are just a rarity bump for the players who wish those. average player should already have most of them
I am so glad that i didn't fall into the pre-order on this set. Will just get a few packs, accesscode & the silents maybe. The issue with it is how great RC1 was. Feels like the year DUDE came out and a whole new year after it was meh.
Its not in the same tier as RC1, but imo its a significantly better set than any of the other reprint sets we've had in recent years.
The hype was just too much and people cant see the positives because they only focus on the negatives
@@MattOsheaYGO Agreed to an extended as I still don't see the set as good. Maybe if it was labeled something else rather than RC2; kind of what happened when the Egyptian "structure decks" were terrible based on the type of product they were (structure & not started/Egyptian deck).
On the same note, I also agreed people were waiting for snake eyes, bonfire and some other unrealistic stuff. However, the whole pricing increase/formatting was a complete NO for me and I usually buy everything that comes out.
Many other TCG's are both healthy & cheaper and komoney has been doing way too many price increases that seem unfair given the rare's omission, reprints sets (special Editions), POTE, etc.

Pulled a collector rare Crystal wing synchro dragon. Scanned it into TCGplayer and it came up $0.68… that one will go into the personal collection.

most random inclusion is Sol and Luna, rafflesia is 2nd for me, but i can respect it! Such a solid card!

I think the set is not that good. Ther reason is, most of the cards did not need a reprint. We already have many versions of cards like mst, cosmic cyclone and polymerization. They were cheap already. The first rarity collection did a way better job at reprinting cards that are expensive. I know that crossout designator and accsescode talker are getting reprints, but yhey are the exception for this set and not the other way around.

Glad I only had to pay 2$ for the blue eyes jet and alt dragons for my deck. Just came back to yugioh since I was 12. Super excited especially since I don’t have to pay 8$ a card since this set has released. Tcg player is dope

Glad someone appreciates the set. People gotta realise Konami could’ve just never done this. The only bad thing about this set is the price point because people don’t realise how many cards in this set were actually in desperate need of reprints, because they are more random cards like blue eyes alternate white dragon.

This can be true while also being a good set... A lot of great reprints and rarity bumps. It's clear that rarity 1 targeted getting players more cards, while rarity 2 is focused on getting played to bling out their decks
The set main issue is giving reprints cards of old formats instead of focusing on the new format !

@@MattOsheaYGO Dueling Mirrors is out in September and has Trident Dragion, which automatically makes it superior to Rarity Set 2. And that’s not including every other reprint in it.
Not disliking the video, but more of the product. There could’ve been many other cards to put in here. Much older/meta cards like Elemental Hero monsters, Raigeki, Skull Servant cards maybe?? Everyone has their own list in mind tho so maybe this list pleases some out there?
Its ok but its definitely not better than the first rarity collection set, this set just leaves you wanting more but that more isn't really there. Definitely a lot of missed opportunities for other cards, honestly who needs more mst?
Honestly, we did not need Albaz fusions in here. Could’ve printed Chaos angel, thrust, trident dragion, all forbidden quick plays (not just lance), all Bystials, all D rulers (maybe baby rulers too), Madolches.
The reprints in here are fine but they’re nothing compared to Rarity 1. At least Rarity 1 it felt like you “needed” every card that came from the set.

I think most people are just gonna be upset that they didnt include a bunch of high priced cards, even though we all recognized rc1 as a fluke and not konom's usual buisness plan. They dont wan't cheap cards, and never have. 😂

The only one I'm really surprised about is Fenrir, but 🤷♂️

I thought it sucked. No reason to buy anything except crossouts. I guess some people can make an extra deck monster or two more shiny. A lot of it is already reprinted into the ground.

Buy a box an not have guaranteed the cards you want or buy then individually since the box is what $120? Bros cracked saying it’s a good set. Just buy the singles that you like the box itself for the price ain’t worth it lost a sub. Hyping up a $120 box when it’s doggy. Only thing I’m getting out of it is different rarity bingos and accesscode talkers. I feel like yugi tubers are the reason Konami keeps giving us the shaft promoting things like this without the honest reviews. If this box was worth the same as the first would have been great but $120 nah I’d rather drop that on other cards or wait for a new set that’ll release regular super rares that are now worth $20 which is just insane. Kashtira Fenrir, Chaos Angel and Triple Thrust should have been included in the set. Then collection 2 would match with collection 1.

i agree with MST, but Poly is still seeing play today, and while id love a super poly reprint that was never going to happen, it already has a QCR printing so it makes no sense for it to be included here

There were way too many missed opportunities with the set. Rarity collection 1 did so well because it reprinted tons of times expensive and meta cards alongside having usable staples.
This set peaked with accesscode and the best staples we got are mourner, book of moon, and MST...
Konami desperately needed to address the price point of some relevant and old cards that are still well into double digits price range for no reason other than a lack of available reprints like diviner, triple tactics thrust, chaos angel, dis pater, guiding quem, granguignol, and bystial lubellion.
The community is putting responsibility on this set to solve every problem with modern card prices and distributions. It is a fantastic set with nearly no bad cards. That can be true while the community also needing reprints of other cards.

Stopped listening as soon as you said the set was amazing. I’m looking for unbiased reviews… I don’t think it’s a horrible set, but sure as shit ain’t amazing and anyone telling themselves that is lying to themselves or kissing ass to Konami.
