“Beautiful people are a race of their own”. Damn that hurts more than necessary ...
It was a quote, not his wording. Don't feel bad!
Salam Rouabhia nah, i was just joking. I know he holds no ill intentions. I’m beautiful in my own eyes, that’s all i need. Thanks man
philip Trevor that’s racist
philip Trevor what does negenotropic even mean?
@philip Trevor "Orderly" faces?? Like closer to a baseline of "normal"? I would say health is the biggest indicator.
So what you're saying is that I'm universally ugly
In the nicest way possible.
Hey, you’re not alone 😌
I think you really pretty !
When I see video like this, beauty is not a big deal rather than feel bad being ugly. It is better than "everyone deserve to feel beautiful" which simply telling lies to yourself.
Olivia Moten no shit
hey can you also explain why some faces look more attractive when you get to know the person owning it, or if you keep seeing it at different moments in time; but you didn't find it attractive when you first saw it?
The mere exposure effect
Maham Zaidi it’s a term learned in psychology. Look up “mere exposure effect”
Its different for me i found familiar faces unattractuve ...
Happened in several cases..... especially Benedict Cumberbatch...I didn't like his face at all...I don't know why but as much as watched him more I started liking even his face.. that's weird
literally all of my crushes looks lik a certain celeb
I would love to know how “expression” plays into attractiveness , example being Adam driver isn’t really physically attractive unless you’ve seen how he expresses himself in face and body and voice.
I agree! Just by how you carry yourself, your posture, the way you smile and interract, it can make me change completely my view on someone.
Some people I find very attractive in pictures and not so much irl, and some that don't have the typical flawless face, can become very attractive, just by their "body language"
Yes! This! Same with Benedict Cumberbatch....that voice.....
Gosh I always had a crush on him even though he isn't even that conventionally beautiful. People always told me I have bad taste in men and I thought there was something wrong with me... :(
@anonymous user I don't want an army guy, I just like his voice, it has nothing to do with anything else really
@@lo4568 you just like galactic bad boys

You're in? Let's make this also viral if you want! I will fail in both results anyways. I even take the emberassment for the incel and normie world
Im still gonna be in love with Cillian Murphy’s beautifully feminine eyes
Whatever ,the truth is Youll love him nore if he be more mascline
Cillian Murphy is beautiful.
He’s really representing us Irish 😌
Nah, he's creepy
I think that Paolo Maldini looks like a more masculine (and older) version of Cillian Murphy.
"Beautiful people are a race of their own." So are average/ugly people a race of their own too?
You're smarter than we think
@@QOVESStudio why model boys men look good on instagram and tiktok but when we see their original pic why do they have lots of imperfections ??? Is there anyone in this world having an extremely rare beauty!!!
Josh Fernandez perfection doesn’t always mean beautiful, being too perfect looks strange to humans because it doesn’t appear real to us. The social media guys are already good looking but they use editing tools and filters to appear “perfect”. The rare beauty’s are usually in the modeling or entertainment industry.
"My race is beauty"
-cracked, if advertisement were honest
Little Reuby thats true, I often had the feeling of my looks already beeing enough. Its hard to open up your heart, the fear of beeing liked mainly for your looks is real, and it hurts. Getting compliments/ validation and all that can feel nice, but beeing admired just for your outer Shell is not fullfilling, even so to atracting sexual partners. Not many People will experience this, and thus not sympathise or understand. I often experience envy or overly dominat behauviour from other men and its hard to find real friendships.
Beauty standards are becoming more universal as the world becomes increasingly "global". The main issue is what the research is based on. The "golden ratio" was created through Greek beauty standards and then used on different ethnicities. Their was a recently a ranking of the most beautiful women and most of the top ranked women were white. The defense was that scientist used the golden ratio, but the golden ratio wasn't meant for non Greek or Euro features. African women aren't inherently less attractive than European women but "science" and "research" would suggest otherwise.
@@QOVESStudio the average caucasian face is closer to the golden ratio than the face of any other ethnicity. of course women of other ethnicites that kinda match the golden ratio exist, but the golden ratio was specifically made with caucasians in mind. edit: the golden ratio mask**** of course i know what the golden ratio is and i thought most people did too, hence why i thought not including 'mask' would still get my point across, which was quite ignorant and stupid of me. sorry about that! will try to not make that mistake again lmao hope no one took my comment too seriously. kinda worried that it has this many likes. :^)
@@QOVESStudio While there are some non-white women who come close to having the golden ratio, like Lupita I believe, it's far more common for white women to have features that match up with it. It's just because the original models used to calculate this ratio were white.
This is a golden comment. One cannot infer on cross-culture agreements about beauty standards in today's or even yester-year's world. The world has been globalized for over centuries, and the beauty standards of European culture (through dominance of media and colonialization) is masqueraded as the universal standard. In other words, universal beauty standards would mean an INNATE standard in humans (LMAO). In an absence of societal influences, beauty is likely subjective. The scientific references made in this video give little justifications for the claim made in the video. It is unfortunate that the sciences will eventually replace religious conjectures that it so criticizes. Making it hard to distinguish between true practice of science and scientism.
*FINALLY* somebody says it! The colonialism runs deep, smh.
The golden ratio is *not* a template for “universal” beauty, it’s a template for “universal” beauty based on Eurocentric standards.
The golden ratio is from nature lmao but ok
Sorry to correct you but at 0:33 they are not South East Asian men but South Asian men. South East Asians are different ethnicity of Asians and not same as South Asians. Anyway, great episode and amazing work! I’m excited and looking forward to watch for further next episodes!

@@KK-oh2ot oh yeah. I guess so. That makes sense.
I’m a Korean-American and it’s absolutely wild how different beauty standards are. I have more masculine features, with my squarish jaw being the biggest one. Growing up my mom always told me to not chew gum, as apparently a square jaw does not look good. I also saw a lot of the Korean male celebrities had narrow, v-shaped jaws. I was always envious of it, but then when I got a bit older (about 20) people started to compliment me about my jaw, saying that it was masculine. I learned to accept it and now I like the fact that I have a wide jaw. It’s just crazy how different the standards are tho, and how much it can shape perception
Beauty isnt universal but ugliness is if you are ugly in ur own culture there is high chance u ll be everywhere eless but if you are attractive in ur culture u can be average elsewhere
This !
It’s not always true. For example there are a lot of kpop idols that are considered ugly or not attractive in Korea, but are considered attractive in America.

I'm not bi I just don't find rough overly masculine men attractive. I'm straight and like clean, "pretty boys". Overly masculine men of any race honestly just scare me.
Edit: if I had to say any really masculine men I like would be like ones that looked like Jason Momoa, Channing Tatum, Johnny Depp.
What kind of pretty boys do you like? Harry Styles? Tom Holland?
Teresa Davis I honestly can relate w this alot. That’s why I sometimes feel more attracted to some East Asian men, as they are not afraid and tend to be more comfortable with being a bit more feminine. And that’s super attractive to me.

So u like kpop boys
@@IushIy in terms of Asians I like men like Song joong ki. White boys I like ones like josh hutcherson or Chris hemsworth. Black men I like ones like Michael Ealy, Roshan fegan
Before I say anything, im not an expert or a scientist (also english is not my first lenguage, so I apologized for any mistake). Having stating this, how much of a role does colonialism play? For example, in Mexico, before colonization, the beauty standars were very different, now Mexico is filled with the idea that the more white you look, the more attractive you are (idea reinforce by soap operas), when a century ago it wasnt like that. I ask this in a very honest way, not trying to start a fight
This is honestly a good point, the beauty standards of prehispanic Mesoamerica were way different from Europe's. If you meet people from the indigenous communities (I think some people call them pueblos) it's easy to tell there's some distinct features that not all mestizos have. I think it's non-problematic to point this out. Imperialism and colonization have altered the genetic and linguistic landscape of the Americas etc. It's sad to think the beauty of our ancestors was eradicated and we, their descendants, are still consuming the standards of their invaders
@@MrAlexanderrangel " It's sad to think the beauty of our ancestors was eradicated and we, their descendants, are still consuming the standards of their invaders" damn, that is powerful, tragic and very true
Xander R we don’t actually know what indigenous people would’ve thought about beauty standards. You can look through hundreds of photos online taken of indigenous peoples in the 1800’s and can see that there quite a few conventionally attractive men and women, especially considering traits like symmetry, high cheekbones, full lips, strong jaws, and almond shaped eyes. What we don’t know is if those people were considered the most attractive in their worlds.
@@cj48 You do realize there's countless examples of Mesoamerican art that deliberately depict the most common phenotypes of those times right? Just look at any of the Mayan bas reliefs or the literal Olmec Masks that detail important features like almond eyes, upturned lips, a forehead cleft, and broad nose. Mesoamerican art shows a consistent standard / ideal for facial and bodily features that aren't necessarily universal. Have you ever heard of "the mayan nose" lol. Or the fact it was considered beautiful to have an elongated skull and crossed eyes?
These are features the artists clearly noticed and reproduced over and over. Sure there are universal standards of beauty, but let's not allow that to erase obvious cultural distinctions.
@@cj48 And I mean, there ARE Still indigenous communities all over mexico and the USA, so asserting we can never know what they think is just untrue
The golden ratio confirms proportionate features. However, it doesn’t mean someone feels attracted to a person with a face that is perfect to the golden ratio. Everyone has their own taste. Some people like people with certain “imperfections” that may not meet beauty/cultural standards. But, if someone does meet a perfect golden ratio, most people will see them as pleasing to the eyes even if they may not be attracted to them because science lol.
Finally someone with logic......half the comment section is some libtard calling this video racist.......
This is circular logic. You're defining proportionate features to mean features following the golden ratio, then saying the features following the golden ratio confirm proportionate features. You should question your definition of proportionate.
fangiscool1 Yeah, I could have cut my comment in half. I’m half asleep most the time so, I tend to ramble.
@7 violett as long as they are healthy or have a good personality
@@rainyw1nd that's bullshit. If that was true there wouldn't be "cheating" or "breakups". Most of the times these happen because someone "healthier" showed interest.
Ok. Question. In another video you said being able to find someone attractive was based on repeated exposure to certain groups of people i.e whites in South Africa found African women attractive at a higher percentage than whites who lived in more white majority countries. If that's true then how are certain features universally attractive? If I find a certain type of face more attractive based on my exposure to it then doesn't cultural standards of beauty and attractiveness outweigh universal ones?
Beauty is subjective and objective. We don't have solid answer
This video is establishing universal beauty while you’re talking about preferences. The basic point of this is that some features are considered good looking across the world.
They've just averaged preferred fautured across the world and found which ones are universally preferred.
@@abraham8565 How can both be true? No disrespect when I ask but what axioms do you hold that allow for the concept of beauty to both be objective and subjective?

As far as beauty science goes, I'm most fascinated with the phenomenon of people being more attractive in person than in photos. Not universally true, obviously, especially if you put a lot of effort into getting the right angle, lighting, etc for the photo, but on average people will be more attractive in videos or in person than in photos. I know I am.
i look so ugly in photos but irl i look decent
This is good content. Very valuable for an artist. The fact that some people feel bad about the info presented is more a reflection of their own insecurities.
I honestly love your channel. Been watching vids from it the whole day. I draw and mostly i draw portraits and I do part time editing jobs, so alot of this is very relatable and noteworthy. Im glad you back everything up with research and not just spew discussions based on your opinions. I really like when you discuss specific facial features and how light naturally touches them, and their overall impact on a face.
Why are your videos so calming to watch??
I was pissed off about some shit that went down today and this video helped stabilize my mood.
DAMN.
Well either we are talking about Eurocentric "BS" or world conventionally beauty, I'm still ugly to men, so Yay to me for being constant!!!
Omg this comment hits hard 😭😭
It can be your forte as well, my "beautiful" friends always fall for the bullshit of some boys / men who would say things like 'don't you dare cut your hair short" ...
you keep that constant!
Fussel I don’t think so! List all the things men don’t like on a woman and you have “me” ! I know it’s not all easy everyday for pretty people. I don’t hate them, I’m just disappointed with my own look. But I’d rather be pretty with some problems than being ugly in the same situation for sure!
Honestly, I know people say it is essentially cat fishing, but makeup can really enhance your look. The whole point of makeup is to mess with contour, I.e. lighting on your face. You can give yourself a more defined jaw, make your eyes angled more upwards, make your face look slimmer, define cheekbones. It’s crazy to see some before and after makeup pics
I love how he uses so much science. It's why your videos are much more interesting than other youtubers.
I find pretty boys way more attractive than masculine guys.
A M bleh, not me. It’s too feminine.
maybe it’s because i’m bisexual, and i find myself more attracted to feminine people? eh, everyone has their preferences:)
A M I see. That may be why.
And I love masculine ones.
same, and i’m bi too. i’m more attracted to feminine girls than masculine girls as well
"Beautiful people are a race of their own"
Yes! Yes they are
as a straight girl, over time i’ve become more attracted to traditionally masculine facial features (sharp jawline, big and sculpted nose, high cheekbones)
that's exactly typical (explained by science lol) whether you're straight/bi, as girls get older, they prefer more masculine features.
sholos i didn’t know that it was the case for bi girls too
Adding my preferences into the pot: I’m bi and I prefer feminine men and for women it’s much more open. I’ve always wondered if my bisexuality contributed to my attraction to feminine men!
Julia I’m straight and I like very feminine looking men. Sexuality doesn’t mean anything in my opinion.
yknow i’ve seen a lot of bi people say they’re attracted to feminine guys and masculine girls, but i’m not really into masculine people of any gender. is that weird?

Only in term of "technical" aspects : I've always felt like having well defined features is the most important thing in term of beauty. Other things can vary, like having no symmetrical eyes but high cheekbones can work. A nose that is quite big according to standards but sharp jaw line... Things like that. It's all about balancing things...
Gaze also, is so important no matter the culture. Unexpressive eyes are considered unattractive (I said unexpressive, not jaded).

thank u for these vids!! i highly enjoy them
I don't know how I found this channel but it's my favourite now! So informative
first i believe the golden ratio was eurocentric then believe it wasn't and that it's universal, but i changed my mind. I thought the golden ration was just about how the facial features are set up and face shape, but it's also the dept and sizes of the features which I find unfair because it leans heavily to white people and not other race. The nose in the golden ration is especially the most unfair and eurocentric. imo the nose is one the biggest indicator that makes someone look a certain race cause there is more overlap with skin color, face shape, the way the features are set up and eye sizes but noses are more unique with each race, both in the front and the side of the nose. it kinda make sense too that it's the most unique feature imo cause that's where we breathe through lol and prehistoric humans were in very different type of environments from one another.
I disagree. Iman Bowie (90s supermodel) is pure Somalian and is beautiful by any standards. I'm not sure about the mix Naomi Campbell must have genetically, but I think anyone will agree on how stunning she is. Aishwarya Rai is one of the most beautiful people I've ever seen. Lupita Nyong'o, from 12 years of slavery, is beautiful too. Beauty is international. I think attractiveness goes beyond beauty, and that's why I think there's always going to be that dispute with these types of videos talking about attractiveness when really we're talking about beauty. I have been attracted to typically "ugly" people, and it has more to do with their presence and what they represent than only their beauty.
@@guesswho5790 I think people are misunderstanding the real issue here. Lupita Nyong'o, Iman Bowie, ... may be beautiful by European standards. But would they be seen as beautiful in any society/tribe around the world? This is the real issue.
European standards of beauty can be applied to people of any ethnicity. But it doesn't mean that every culture would judge beauty with the same criteria as European culture.
@ I differentiate true beauty from "beauty standards". What I meant by my comment is that when someone is drop dead gorgeous... It's not a secret. There are things that everybody can agree on. And I did not specify width of nose, skin color or anything like that. As long as a face has proportionate, symmetrical features, there is a high chance they will be considered beautiful. I once heard a guy say that he didn't find Rihannah attractive because he didn't like her nose and I was like... Boy you wish! She is very beautiful I don't care what he says. That's his preference and bias and covert racism.
But I agree that there are "beauty standards" that are imposed in a specific culture in a specific time and place. And they bring up a whole other discussion because it usually involves the body, and I was mainly referring to facial structures. A very clear example is the old Chinese tradition of having higher class ladies bond their feet... It was horrifying and yet in time it was considered attractive because they associated it with power and wealth. Or that tribe in Africa Jessica Simpson visited where obese brides were considered attractive. None of these things are beautiful, at least to me, because they are unhealthy, but it made sense to them, in their time. Just like now inflated, fake everything, corseted waists and stretched out facial skin (lest we have an expression line, God forbid), are today's Instagram standards, then you have the fitness ideal body, then you have fashion runway "beauty", and still there are girls who don't fit into any of these molds and I find them extremely beautiful and attractive, and surely won't be alone in that.
Edit: sorry for the loooong comment!!
@ Naomi has some Chinese blood I believe
The golden ratio it's not something that has been created, it's a mathematical equation that is found in every symmetrical thing created by nature (flowers, shells, trees...). What scientists did is apply that to the human face to find the most perfectly proportionate face possible, not the most attractive. People got the idea that, just because it's proportionate, it has to be the ideal of beauty, and even though more proportionate faces than average are considered the most attractive, those faces still have certain imperfections as it is impossible to have the exact measurements as the perfect ratio naturally.
With that I should add that east Africans have also a very similar face proportions to the Golden ratio, yet they are black. The same with middle easterns.
Your videos are so well researched and over all so aesthetically pleasing! I can´t imagine the hours of research and editing! Thank you!
Greetings from Germany!
Oh, a channel actually got the info right, good video!
I love your stuff and find it very thought-provoking keep up the good work! 🦁
I'm curious about how hatred can also make a person appear less attractive. For example, an attractive woman with a bad attitude becomes less hot. People that hate a certain racial group think of everyone in that racial group as unattractive.
I think he has a video on the difference between social attractive/charisma and physical attraction
The problem people had with the previous video was that the word Eurocentric was used in the video to describe all of the universally desirable features, despite some being more pronounced in non-Europeans. It was (perhaps unintentionally) implied that the only reason we are not attracted to Aziz is because he’s not European looking. I’m glad you clarified. I was getting really tired of people in the comments telling me I’m not attracted to regular East Asian men when I’m literally married to one, lol.
I hope and pray you get more subs this is great stuff
I’ve learned so much from your channel! Youre awesome, thank you! ♥️
I loved this! Can we see maybe different types of ethnicities and examples of attractiveness on each race/ethnicity?
The Age of Instagram Face - "There was something strange, I said, about the racial aspect of Instagram Face-it was as if the algorithmic tendency to flatten everything into a composite of greatest hits had resulted in a beauty ideal that favored white women capable of manufacturing a look of rootless exoticism. “Absolutely,” Smith said. “We’re talking an overly tan skin tone, a South Asian influence with the brows and eye shape, an African-American influence with the lips, a Caucasian influence with the nose, a cheek structure that is predominantly Native American and Middle Eastern.” Did Smith think that Instagram Face was actually making people look better? He did. “People are absolutely getting prettier,” he said. “The world is so visual right now, and it’s only getting more visual, and people want to upgrade the way they relate to it.” - Interesting read from the New Yorker By Jia Tolentino December 12, 2019
i immediately thought of this quote from that article as soon as i clicked on this video! honestly, the western standard is straying further from the blue eyed, blonde hair, slim woman. it’s definitely shifting to the more mixed, curvy instagram model woman IMO.

DarthYuYevon Hahaha I don’t really get, how this is a response to my comment but good for you! I personally think that attraction also just comes from how the person is behaving. I’m loving these series they are so interesting👏🏼
I felt one factor is overlooked in the studies claiming to have gathered mass-approved attractive features. We are living in a time where everyone is connected with each other and exposed or potentially influenced by the same beauty standard society fed us from an early age. This means that there is a higher likelihood that the majority of us find the same features attractive, which in turn also means that we are not necessary attracted to a feature for biological reasons.
You got me at fair and lovely. Subscribed!
"Beautiful people are a race of their own" , damn, I feel this HAHA
Love your videos!
Excellent response. Thank you!
I like the extensive research put in making this video out there which is why I find it to be such a disgrace that people always have to make it about themselves aka their ethnic insecurities. This is clearly a video series trying to explain beauty from a scientific perspective. It's based on biology and maths, and not on your ego.
This might sound weird but I read an article several years ago (unfortunately I cannot find a reference) that stated that the modern fashion industry had changed the view on what's considered classical feminine features. The face of a model today has more masculine features: strong jaw lines and bone structures and the bodies are skinny, flat small asses, narrow hips, no chest etc. The theory was that the fashion industry employs a high ratio of homosexual men (very generalizing!) who are not attracted to female features and promotes younger boyish looking features in female models. True or not, Victoria secrets models have pretty faces but you can't really call them feminine in a classical sence. And their bodies are not very feminine either. I believe cnon western cultures still celebrate classical feminine features, the one evolution choose for us to survive.
Whats being pushed nowadays in the mainstream is actually "fat acceptance", but only for women. Curvy in todays sense means overweight usually. The reason models are usually skinnier, male and female, is that the designer clothes fit better. I doubt it has something to do with homosexuality.
very interesting, i had noticed that but never put it together. totally makes sense
Thank you so much. What a fucking Great Video. Hoped you would drop something like that
I have a question about spurious correlations. For example in 3:14 it was stated that assymetry was linked with higher occurrences of respiratory diseases. However, is this because there is a necessary causal connection or due to the presence of a third variable which is the true reason behind the correlation. I have difficulty understanding a possible causal inference between assymetry and respiration.
Furthermore, is there no link between the characterisation of features as male or female with cultural standards or have all cultures generally classified features the same way? Especially considering the interaction that happened between cultures (even before the internet age of globalization) through trade, colonisation etc. Is it possible that the classification of features as male or female has a cultural influence? Are there studies considering this?
Love the video.
Good video. Although North East Asians like Koreans, Mongolians or even Native Americans (whom are descendants of NE Asians) have prominent cheekbones and wide jaws naturally. So they do try to reduce those through surgery regardless of gender. So I don't think the idea that "strong/wide jaw is always good" is universal in that case.
There are 2 aspects of beauty. One is aesthetically pleasing, the other is what attracts the opposite sex. For example, babies are aesthetically pleasing to look at but I am pretty sure they are not attractive (sexually). Strong jaws aren't "always good" but they are mostly sexually appealing. Then there are "cute" aesthetically pleasing jaws. Then there are universally ugly recessed jaws. Most poeple like a combination of "aesthetically pleasing" and "sexually appealing" features.
I'm female and I find androgynous men with more female face features more attractive :D
it also depends on how old you are :P.
Mickybo Yakari I'm 21 and I'm not attracted to women at all. I just have my individual preferences :)
@@pyromaniac3098 All right. Have a good night.
Mickybo Yakari thanks, you too!
@@pyromaniac3098 Thanks. I am rather manly, so I'm not going to undertake anything. :)
These are the most sensible, well researched and put together videos I've come across in a while. And you have a really soothing voice. Love all your series!
I found your channel yesterday (I have watched almost all your videos) and I must admit, I LOVE the quality of your videos! So informative and interesting! Keep up the good work👍
I suffer from the homer simpson mirror syndrome, when I look at some photos I think wtf do I look like that.
When presented with two choices like in your examples, I usually find the less masculine man more attractive (though I'm sure on a broader scale my preference would be somewhere in the middle). I think because in my mind it corresponds with a kinder, more emotionally open and agreeable person (this is obviously not true, but it subconsciously signals it to me). I grew up with a very masculine looking type A alpha male who was controlling and made my mother miserable, so I think I'm seeking the opposite.
I love watching your videos ❤️
Do you think you can make a video on which hair cut/hair style is naturally preferred nowadays(including trends etc)? I have always had short hair and I grew up with with girls trying to keep their hair long as possible which is why I ask?if it's better to have a haircut or keep your hair natural?
Do a video about facial asymmetry
More female examples, please! I love these videos!
I appreciate the referencing.
Just learned what "canthal tilt" is. Neat!
I'm high key obsessed with this series. Like I truly want to know how if I can portray these attractive features with makeup
interesting video!
do you think the studies results are majorly influenced by war propaganda of strong/secure looking men and obedient/emotional looking women in the western world? especially after spreading over the media and internet for other cultures to pick up?
especially wondering about that since european beauty standarts for a long time have been what we consider feminine for men.
also, are you planning to go beyond biological facts in future videos? i dont mean cultural viewpoints, i mean aesthetical composition. you're obviously smart, and i'd be sad to see that wasted on just recounting biological basics already mentioned in other videos. i think taking it a step further and exploring humanities big brain skills would be great! i hope you won't let it sit on 'ugly features are cute' because that is an oversimplification that missed the mark by far.
@@QOVESStudio yay!
Binge watching a bunch of these videos today.
Question: having a straight nose is a universal beauty standard yet some ethnicities have higher percentages of hooked noses... why? And does that mean that they are on average less attractive than ethnicities in which hooked noses are less common?
Just a minor correction. At 0:34 none of them are South East Asian. They are South Asian. Subcontinental origin people are categorized into South Asia as opposed countries like Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia and more who are South East Asian. 😊
Why I'm feeling like you are from India?!?
He is, he did a face reveal in one of the older videos, he lives in Australia hence the accent
I'm pretty sure anybody who knows about fair and lovely is from the indian subcontinent

Great video! I wonder about East Asian beauty standards where narrow, v-shaped jaws are preferred as well as larger eyes in men.
Hey man, great video. I really like and agree with a lot of the points you are making and agree with your overall message that there is a universal archetypal standard of beauty. However, what i do want to bring to light to you is whether or not these features are entirely determined by genetics or not. I think - and there are slowly emerging studies supporting this - showing that features such as cheekbones and jaw structure are heavily - almost entirely- influenced by environmental factors with your oral posture being the main factor. In short, if one holds their tongue firmly against their palate from birth, then the craniofacial sutures are forced up, forwards and outwards to create the cheekbones and jawlines we see in very attractive people. Now i do contend that this is limited by one’s genetic potential and phenotype however i do beleive that most people - upwards of 90 percent- are not fulfilling their genetic potential. Consider this, in your video you stated that modelling companies scout out the extreme and you gave the example of extremely protruded zygoma on 2 models. I urge you to look at images of tribes of the inuit people and other indigenous tribes that extend to about 50-100 years ago. What you will find is that all these people have extremely larger faces, larger, more defined jaws and very protruded zygoma, even more extreme than the model examples you provided. I do beleive there is a gap in the science with respect to this. I think that this level of facial development is actually normal and is the standard for many people. To demonstrate this, you can look at the recent generation of these tribes where their children- the first generation born in a modern environment like a city- lack the facial development of their parents. Why is this the case. It cannot be genetic since such a change is occurring at such a high rate amongst this generation. It cannot be that a gene mutated amongst all of the higher generation to cause this lack of facial development in the younger generation. What is evident however is the drastic environmental change. The tribes spent large amounts of time chewing hard food whereas their children eat soft foods in a world where agriculture is widespread. If you look at this it becomes clear that the face and its attractiveness is heavily influenced by the environment. So where does this bring us all. Well, in your video - and you can correct me if im wrong- you said that “pretty people are a race of their own” giving an impression that genetics are the key factor of determining one’s features and thus beauty. The final point i am trying to get to you is that most people can actually acheive this level of beauty given they create an environment conducive to achieving their genetic potential- a potential i believe is abundant and potentially even better than some models.
Could you go a video on why androgynous features tend to be appealing to teenage girls across the world? Pretty much every country with a prominent enough pop culture will have boy bands.
I find it great that you cover that topic with scientific facts. Maybe you can react or take a look at the video from Vegan Gains about the game Mass Effect Andromeda? Many people disagree with him but I think he talks the truth.
Great work! 👏
Tao Okamoto (the thumbnail) is so beautiful.
you should do a video on why feminine men and masculine women are attractive
S Dexter-Boone feminine men like a recessed small chin and jaw, big eyes with long eyelashes and sclera showing, pink pouty lips, tiny nose, arched eyebrows, skinny lanky body with pronounced hips, skinny delicate hands? That is so unattractive on a man
How many different series are you going to have?😂
I'm here for it!❣
