Yes, we went through a few tricky years after Busby called it a day, although Docherty rapidly rebuilt the team with players from lower leagues, not something especially done these years, but rare even then as en masse as it was, although maybe that's due to the improved standards of our top league these days due to so many top players from Africa, Europe, and s America involved these days, drawn by the Premier League's marketability. Shame about the Doc and the physio's wife really. Perhaps, it's going to be hard to find top coaches and managers now, as the communities that produced and moulded them, namely built around traditional, heavy industries, have by and large disappeared. Busby, Fergie and the Doc were all Glaswegians, as was Shankly for Liverpool, and many more. Changing times, changing communities, changing inner characteristics, changing outward activities and interests, changing ambitions, changing way of life, changing football, and changing the characters within it. The worst change at Utd has to be the ownership of the Glazers, as before this the strong sense of community ownership found its way into many social enterprises, but with the loss of heavy industries went the unions, and the characters who had the canny nous to run football clubs and large organisations, and run them for the people. This why their man management was often second to none. At least this guy seems organised, and Ole gave us some soul back, so now we need to combine the two. Let's see!!!

Unbelievably excited with what he's been able to achieve already in such a short amount of time. They clearly still need alot of more work, but early on against Palace we got a nice little taste of what a forward moving pressing United could look like. So many chances, and great ball movement. The game slowed down and got a little sloppy after that, but the fact that they did that for 30 minutes after only 1 training session was very exciting

@@userme2803 In the past, all big clubs in Germany only wanted to have their own players or the best players to be their coaches. Ragnick’s knowledge of the game and the players is extensive. He is taking this job very seriously, understands the limitations but is realistic in his approach. He is taking it day by day, preparing the players in training for the next opponent. I feel like he can develop good chemistry amongst the squad if players buy into this system of football. There is quality to adapt, it’ll just come down to attitude and mentality.

...and honestly, more if these interviews is also possibly what the British press and media needs to up their game. Geoff is hitting a brick wall with so many of his questions, just like a lot of people who have been asking him questions so far. I suspect many interviewers will re-think their questions quite a few times before speaking out loud when Ralf is around. He isn't having any of it in this interview or in any other so far, and I LOVE to see it!

I think we are beginning to see why the German national teams are always so damn successful; they're all just so efficient, straight to the point, highly analytic, almost as if they're academics about football. Compared to all the pundits that drone on and on with the same unoriginal nonsense they spout each week, and all the footballers who vapidly say bland stuff after a match, its so refreshing to hear a guy talk so intelligently. The last time I felt this way was when Mourinho and Wenger were pundits for the UCL Final between Liverpool and Tottenham, they just gave us an insight that one would EXPECT from a pundit, from a master. Isn't it time all these tv studios stopped hiring ex players and started hiring ex managers? Good luck to this guy, a premiership isn't as fun as it could be if its most successful team is playing below par...
