Jukka, in my opinion is one of if not the most underrated drummers in the metal genre. Since my first Nightwish experience I found him and his style phenomenal. I would in my opinion place him among the most talented and best drummers in the world
@@Jota666 Floor solo stuff I guess. She has some great performances online. About your Tarja statement....well what can I say...more people attend NW gigs than ever ;)
@@kukol123 Obviously, it is now extremely easy to access concerts HAHAHA, but I repeat, there is no important album or song since Tarja left the band, Nightwish is Tarja, it hurts whoever it hurts
@@Jota666 You can have your opinion about the importance and all that but it is simply not for you to decide what is important and what is not. It is up to the fans and the number of fans is growing not decreasing. Tarja was and still is a great singer but Nightwish is still out there without her.
@@Jota666 These songs do not belong to Tarja. According to your definition she only covered the songs that Tuomas has composed. Let's not be silly and give the credit to the singers who do their part to make the song sound. No matter former or recent.
Floor has been through a lot in a little over a year, breast cancer and surviving it, first solo record, pregnancy and today the first gig after giving birth. I was at a Nightwish gig in the middle of June in Kitee Nightwish's hometown when Floor was very pregnant, the next day she was taken to the hospital after the gig, luckily it was just exhaustion.
The craziness of this band is when you think you love them tons they do something else that makes you love them even more. Floor is my favorite singer ever and her personality really is just amazing as her talent.
I am really enjoying your journey with Nightwish. It's great to see someone new to them be so totally into their music. You asked about Marko. Marko Hietala is a beloved figure in Finnish metal. He was one of the first to introduce the genre in that country and has continued to be very active for his entire career. If you wish to see him taking the lead in Nightwish, check out "The Islander" live at Tampere, "High Hopes" (magnificent) from the End of an Era concert, "Kiss While your Lips are Still Red" from Wembley and the superb lyric video that was his last song with Nightwish "Endlessness." In addition, Marko has his own band - "Tarot" and you should check out "Tides" live. He has performed as part of the supergroup "Northern Kings". He recorded his own album "Pyre of the Black Heart" in both Finnish and English and was just recently a guest artist on the group "Exit Eden's" song "Run." Yes, I am a dedicated Marko fan.
Just came from a solo concert of Floor at the AFAS live ( Amsterdam) for me just the best singer in the world , with the support act from Anneke van Giersbergen and the duet with her sister Irene an evening not to forget , couple of hours pure joy , hope you continue your Nightwish journey and my suggestion is to watch the Beste zangers show 2019 , lots of great music
Thank you for your reaction! You can't go wrong with any Nightwish song ❤🔥 Another song/band you could react to is "Christmas Truce" by Sabaton, as it's this time of the year ❄ I think you'll enjoy it!
It's been suggested by others, but Christmas Truce by Sabaton will interest you. It's a brilliant song based on historical events (like most Sabaton songs. They have an excellent history channel too). Floor's husband is the drummer, and Floor sings the outro.
I recommend the documentary-style videos about Floor, as well as the “day-in-the-life” videos Floor has on her RUclips channel, to see just how down-to-earth she is.
I have often said that Floor's voice touches your soul, some times the tears may flow for no other reason than her voice resonating inside your soul. Glad to see you continuing your Nightwish journey. New subscriber after your Phantom review with Tarja. Keep learning about the band. There are a few videos out there to fill you. Might be useful info when you get to some of the heavy hitting songs. It would be helpful to see what happened to some of the band members along the way. Follow Gabriel Bardacs recommendations (probably in your first reaction comments) and brief history. Keep up the good work.
There is something special about Jukka's performance on drums. He's just fun to watch, in a way that few other drummers can match. I get a little of that from Paulina from The Warning, a 3 piece hard rock band of sisters from Mexico that you need to check out one of these days.
There are several songs where it is only Marko who sings, but the song i feel will fill all your needs is "High Hopes" the Nightwish tribute to Pink Floyd. You'll love that song, no doubt about it from me, and ty for more Nightwish reactions :D
Tuomas is the heart and soul of Nightwish. To me he found his match and true voice in Floor. They both got the talent.. determination.. passion and endurance. No hate to the ones who left. They gave their all, but there's a difference between being great and being the greatest 🙌
Floor's man plays drums in Sabaton. worth listening to! Swedish group dealing with the history of war. I love this song called - A Lifetime In War. live in Gothenburg. subtitles on
When it comes to Finnish metal, Marko can be considered as one of the pioneers. Since the early 80's he's been singing and playing. Marko released his first solo album in 2019 called Mustan Sydämen Rovio which he later translated in English; Pyre of the Black Heart. The Voice of My Father is a song people usually react to first. Now that Christmas is closing in I'd like to recommend that you check out our beloved Christmas tour Raskasta Joulua (Heavy Christmas). It's a popular annual Christmas song tour where Finnish and some foreign metal artists tour around the country singing traditional Christmas songs with a metal twist. It started in 2004 and Marko has been involved since the beginning. Floor has also taken part for many years now. A couple of songs I would suggest for you to check are Marko's and Floor's duet of Ave Maria ruclips.net/video/AqsnIzOd8AM/видео.html And Floor O Holy Night but in Finnish. And pregnant. ruclips.net/video/ym1Wc5dmUYc/видео.html Thanks for your reactions, really liking them!
Thank you for your reaction, and Floor and Nightwish will continue to amaze. I have discovered them and her 4 years ago, still amazed, and need my daily fix.
_"My song can but borrow your grace"_ Lovely lyrics in this one! I'd recommend that you check out the lyrics for just about any Nightwish song. I'd rank Tuomas' lyrics very high, the man's a true poet! I mentioned in your previous Nightwish reaction that Tarja was a bit of a acquired taste for me; it took me a little time before I truly appreciated her style. When it comes to "Ever Dream", it was kind of the other way around - it's one of my favourite songs from the olden days, and I associated it so strongly with Tarja that it sounded "off" when I first heard Floor's version. Floor's version's got a different vibe than the original one, but after hearing it a few times more something just "clicked". I really love this version now, and its different energy complements the original rather than "replaces" it. I didn't expect yet another Nightwish reaction this soon! Neat, glad that you're enjoying the band!
You really do have thoughtful and open reviews. I like that you’re taking time to sample more than a single example of a band! Honestly didn’t think another reaction channel could be unique, but you are. Well done!
Great reaction. Nightwish gets better and better. The whole band is so Nice they feel like family after a while. Keep up the good work. Cheers from a finn in Sweden.❤❤❤
Hi Stacey, Always nice to see someone new discovering Nightwish, MkIII (aka, w/Floor). Since you also like Marco's voice (rightfully so)… well… some thoughts: Pure Floor: Beste Zangers, 2019 (Floor covers assorted tunes in a 'musical appreciation show' - speaking of VERSATILE) Floor Covers: during Covid, she took to doing covers from her home studio - check out Frozen, and Alone, among others. Floor in Nightwish: Elan (live OR video - you can't go wrong), Yours Is An Empty Hope (Floor and Marko. And GROWLS), Alpenglow Marco: The Islander (Floor as backup), Kiss While Your Lips Are Still Red (w/Nightwish), Run (w/Exit Eden) As noted above, I think you'll like Floor and Marco on YIAEH, you've already seen him here, and in Poet and The Pendulum, I think "Yours Is An Empty Hope" will cement your impression of him (and The Islander/Kiss While Your Lips Are Still Red will show you a whole other side). Enjoy the ride!
I think it is time for "The Islander" live in Tampere. That is an epic song and it does feature a lot of Marco. Also since leaving Nightwish he has put out the single "The Voice of My Father" in Finnish and in English. It is worth a listen too. He is really good, he infact won a season of the "Masked Singer" here in Finland.
As a side note, if you choose a video by Nightwish always pick the Wacken version if possible. Most times it's the best-looking and sounding version. Not sure what was in the air that night, but all these years later it's still magic.
Stacy, Floor has not left Nightwish. She has started a solo career besides NW. That is different. In 2024 their new album comes out from NW. She has done in 2022 a solo concert here in Amsterdam and she sang songs from her first band After Forever (she started at the age of 16, from her own band Revamp when she was in her twenties and joined Nightwish in 2012, starting in Seattle, That is a very nice story how this happened. Ever since she was very regular seen in the US (even this year) and tonight on the 8th. she starts again her solo appearance after giving birth from her second girl almost two months ago. BTW, listening to all Floor's songs it cost you about one year if you do one single a day. She has had many side projects because it seems that everybody wants to do something with her. When Floor is involved, it is a hit! Greetings from The Netherlands.
thanks for the reaction from Colorado, I appreciate you giving props to Jukka the drummer the best ever. Try The Islander, live t Tampere if want to hear Marko do a solo.
@StacyRPG: My comment is about Jukka, and why he dropped performing. Sadly, after the 2012/2013 tour, Jukka ended up stepping down because of chronic insomnia. Essentially, the human brain has a neurochemical "fight or flight" system that uses cortisol and adrenaline as protective measures in unknown or unfamiliar places. It can also interfere with sleep cycles, particularly REM sleep. With Jukka, I once explained how his brain basically couldn't "shut off" so he could sleep, because his "fight or flight" system wouldn't allow him to. This was due to all the unknown places Nightwish's previous tours took him and the band to. The problem is, he was only getting 2 to 4 hours of sleep a night. It was similar to running an engine at redline RPM, before the engine overheats and catastrophically fails. And Jukka mentally did this for over 3 years. Thus, he stepped down because he was afraid he was going to hurt himself physically. So, he got his good friend and mentor Kai Hahto to step in for him. Since Jukka officially stepped down, he has been involved with the business side, and is doing much better. However, he still misses the kit. And what most people don't know is, I read an interview from France where it was Tuomas, the keyboardist, being interviewed, and there has been talk of Jukka trying to get back into playing. In at least 3 different shows in Europe (smaller shows), Jukka did actually get back on the kit and play, notably playing Last Ride of the Day, which has been said is his favorite song to play. The band has been talking to him and making sure he can handle the stress from playing, medically. Even so, from what Tuomas said, Jukka was like a kid on a rollercoaster, and he wants to play again. And you're absolutely right: Jukka is an amazing drummer. He is my personal favorite drummer to watch, despite other drummers perhaps being faster or more technical, such as Kai Hahto or Scott Buchanan (drummer for Unleash the Archers). By the way, Nightwish was once compared to fantasy or RPG characters: 1) Floor: Valkyrie 2) Marko: Viking Warrior 3) Troy: Bard 4) Emppu: Imp 5) Tuomas: Carnival Ringmaster 6) Jukka: Pirate This is why I have the following hashtag: #IMissThePirate Edit: If you want to see Nightwish playing to the crowd, watch I Want My Tears Back from Wacken 2013. As for the venue, Wacken 2013 is an open-air, four-day festival. And in 2013, Nightwish was the final band on the final day, having headlined the festival. And this concert is what people got: 90 minutes of sheer, utter, pure perfection, from not just Floor and the band, but Wacken 2013 is considered by many to be one of the best concerts ever recorded.
Epicness right there on that stage. 2 years ago I'd not heard of Nightwish or Floor and then I did and I've been hooked eversince. Thank you for a great reaction to this phenomenal band. What a wonderful Nightwish journey you have to look forward to. 🙏😊👍❤️
Hi Stacey, question / remark: If you like Floor (Nightwish) and Simone (Epica) Than I have something for you ! Check Ayreon !!! Begin with: Ayreon - The Day That The World Breaks Down - The Source (2017) song / composition 13min (sort) with 11 main singers also Floor and Simone ! After that Check Ayreon - Everybody Dies (Ayreon Universe) LIVE also with Floor ! I'm very, very, very sure you will like and love it ! And there much form Ayreon. It's Prog/ metal / rock of the highest level. all songs are a story line. So when you dive in not the order of the song ! If you want to see and hear the composer / creator, Arjen Anthony Lucassen then check the song: Ayreon - Garden of Emotions (Electric Castle Live And Other Tales) LIVE ! The first singer is Arjen ! If you want to see Marko (from Nightwish) Check Ayreon River of time (Universe). You Will LOVE it and want to see more and more......and more ! THIS NEW FOR YOU !!!
a very brief intro into the band (i won't do Finnish surnames) Floor Jansen - vocals Marko - bass + vocals Emppu (Em-poo) - guitar Jukka (Yooka) - drums Tuomas (Tu-omas) - keys and composer (also known as the Metal Mozart) Troy Donockley - pipes and whistles (you've not met him yet)
I suggest you try "storytime", "ghost love score", "romanticide", "wish i had an angel", "ghost river", "amaranth", " son of myself", "dark chest of wonders" live from wacken 13 too And also "want my tears back" and "dead boys poem" live from buenos aires "The poet and the pendulum" and "your is an empty hope" live from wembley "The greatest show on earth" live from tampere
Great reaction Stacey! Nightwish is so much fun. Definitely check Nightwish - High Hopes (End Of An Era) where Marko takes a lead role. It's a Pink Floyd song and the Nightwish guys have said that it's not a cover, it's a tribute.
You would love Planet Hell with Tarja from the End of and Era live performance. It's one of Jukka's best drum performances. There is also a studio version with Anette singing as well.
If you want to be melted by Floor, watch the Buenos Aires 2018 performance of Dead Boy's Poem... You also get to see Jukkas friend Kaitsu who took over the drums when Jukka had to give up. He's as good ... See Devil and the Deep Dark Ocean in the Buenos Aires show to see him and see Floor and Marco together in call and answer in one of my top 5 NW songs.
This concert is great. You can’t go wrong with any of the songs. I would however strongly recommend if you are going to do “I want my tears back” you should do Buenos Aires 2019. Floor is called the “Valkyrie Queen”!
Marko is featured in a fairly new video from Exit Eden called Run! It is great. He also sings in several Nightwish songs, The Islander, While Your Lips are Still Red and Nightwish’s tribute to Pink Floyd’s High Hopes.🤘🎸
So happy you've discovered Nightwish, and such a pleasure to hear you appreciate almost every part of the band :-) Please, please, please just keep going down Gabriels list. Don't jump around. Don't listen to people who say you should do whatever else next. Follow. His. List. The list will introduce you to various aspects of Nightwish in a controlled manner, and using the best performances available for each song. Do yourself a favor, follow the list. Learn from the people who came before you.
For an actual soft song recommend Dead Boys Poem, Nemo, Sleeping Sun, Elan, among many others. Also acoustic version of Hows the Heart at Planet Rock with Troy on guitar..also Marco on lead at Wembley on Kiss While Your Lips are Still Red and Marco leads on The Islander at Tampiere
Floor is married to the drummer of Sabaton. Since it's Christmas time..... I can't speak highly enough of The Christmas Truce. by Sabaton. Stick around for the credits, Floor makes a special appearance.
Love your reactions so far !! If you want to hear marco and floor together, with nightwish's third singer added also, react to nighwish i want my tears back from buenos aires 2019. It has to be the most fun performance from nightwish :) Or, for the christmas spirit, marco and floor doing ave maria together ;)
Marko Hietala has been singing from the 80's and his long time band before NW is named "Tarot" 🤘 en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tarot_(band) - Cheers from the same city Marko and the band is from 🍺
11:05 Couldn't agree more! This generation seems more interested in recording a show, posting it and bragging about how they were there (but were you really?) than living in the moment and just enjoying the experience. It's a perfect time of year for a reaction to Sabaton - Christmas Truce. And FYI, the drummer of Sabaton is Floor's husband and she sings the outro of the song while the credits are rolling.
Wow, you got it ❤ Yes, Floor is a Goddess. 😇 To be precise. The Valkyrie Goddess of Metal and Empathy. ❤ Jukka aka the Pirate is a beast behind the drums 😊. Hail Nightwish
If you want to hear a stand alone song with Marko and Nightwish please checkout The song High Hopes a Pink Floyd tribute. Also there is a Third back up singer called Troy who is a multi instrumentalist and a great song to check both Troy and Floor only singing How's the heart Acoustic version and Nemo Acoustic version the Raw power of Floor is exposed there. Thank you
Good reaction. Did see Floor live yesterday. Amazing performance. She is great live and was very happy to be back. Thanks for this reaction. Subscribed.

Hey Stacey, great reaction and i´m glad you found Nightwish and Floor Jansen. With that in mind she also appears with other artists in some truly amazing duets. I hope you will listen to Epica - Sancta Terra (feat Floor Jansen) Live Retrospect show cause that is to me personally the metal duet of our lifetimes. So much power...
Hello again StaceyRPG. Breathtaking performance indeed. Every song in this legendary concert is terrific. Floor is perfect for this band and this was her first big European festival with Nightwish, while she was not yet an official member. It is one of many amazing live Nightwish concert performances such as Wembley 2015, Tampere 2015, Masters of Rock 2016, Buenos Aires 2018, Hellfest 2022 and Deichbrand 2022. But since you are checking out Wacken 2013, here is a link to every song in that show. Enjoy. ruclips.net/p/PLexzLA11Cst1G4E0D61rAnWvnDF4zIz8M
Loving your reactions to NW! Floor is a goddess! And the band is just the best! Hope you get to some more of the songs soon! And I'd still like to watch you react to some Ayreon Live! Most people start with Everybody Dies. But all the songs in that concert are amazing!
Well, Jukka at the Drumset was always an Sight and Sound to behold, absolute Agreement on This:) His Follow Up, as He switched from Drums to Management due to Health Issues is his former part Time Drumteacher, and Friend Kai, who dont show up like Jukka emotional, but is same Level if not better as Drummer. But no Bandmember over the past 25 Years comes to my Mind, who werent an absolute Pro, wouldnt have worked out anyway, bcs the Band has an very own Standard that they want to keep:) I could chat on, but i am sure many Things are already written. I watched your Black Sabbaths and even the Mamas and Papas Revs, spared me the Stones and Rammstein Parts( although German, but ...well;D), thx Lady, great Entertainment, your genuie Emotions are an Joy to watch! it's actually interesting to watch someone without a musical background see and hear this stuff for the first time, and see what they notice, what they appreciate, what stands out to them even if they don't have the theoretical knowledge. So I'm pleased that you always emphasise the drummer on these Nightwish videos. His choice of beats is always so creative and he manages to take the music to another level of intensity. I feel like we could watch an entire concert that was 90% footage of this drummer and not get bored. Obviously the whole band is amazing and Floor & Marco are the superstars but with a less skilled, less creative drummer (even one who is quite competent) it would not be the same. It does not get pointed out often enough for my liking, so thanks for doing so.
Yes sadly Marko left Nightwish but you can still hear him on their latest album now he has been focusing to his solo work and multiple other projects maybe now for the holiday season I should mention the annual Finnish heavy Christmas tour with Marko and other super talented Finnish singers also Floor has visited in this project few years ago..
Nightwish is the best at symphonic metal, has been for many years. Also check out Within Temptation the Black Symphony concert it was filmed at the Rotterdam hall with the orchestra backing them up.
It’s an interesting fact that you mentioned everyone except the keyboard player, but he is the heart of the group. As it turned out, anyone in this group can be replaced, even Tarja, with whom everyone associated Nightwish, It will be very painful, but it will still be Nightwish. Only Toumos cannot be removed. who writes all the music and who is called the Mozart of metal.
Love the reviews, have a suggestion that will take you back in time and one that not many people will ever request. Trying to broaden the horizons of what I grew up with to the rest of the world. The group is Deep Purple, the song Vanilla Queen. This falls into the progressive rock category.
After just a couple songs or so, you’re right about so many things! - Nightwish’s sound IS distinct…there’s no mistaking them - symphonic metal IS indeed “chef’s kiss” - Floor IS a goddess, and when she chooses to flex on us mortals it’s…overwhelming!
Since I discovered it, "High Hopes" (live) is one of my favorite songs for many reasons. Not only is it a Pink Floyd tribute, Markos performance is incredible and Jakko, the drummer, just drums himself into ecstasy, the guitar solo by Emppu is true Pink Floyd guitar solo... and Floor is getting a well deserved break ;)
If you want to hear a nice song of Nightwish with Marko as the lead singer go for “While your lips are still red” at Wembley. If you want to hear Floor and Marko really sing together then “I wish I had an angel” at Wacken 2013.
Hi Nightwish army from Canada. if you enjoy symphonic metal and floor i highly suggest Epica the song sancta terra or one of my fav seven days to the wolves or follow gabriels list if he hasn't contact you yet.. You will not be disappointed. The journey into Nightwish will open your eyes. Thomas is a musical genius and in my opinion one of the most gifted musician of our time. Btw the hype is real they are magical LIVE. love your reactions and i hope you dive into this band a little deeper.
i like your reaction thank you . they are still great and you have to see nightwish doing ,shoemaker , on the hellfest in 2022 and let floor amaze you again and give you chills .it does to me every time and i am 66 😂
The thing about Nightwish and/or Floor is that they are one of the few bands/singers that actually sound better live than on studio recordings. And if you think all those YT videos will prepare you for a real live experience ....nope. I was at AFAS Amsterdam, NL yesterday for Floor's first solo show after the birth of Floor's daughter Lucy (and Floor's first show after collapsing from exhaustion after the second Nightwish show in Finland) Floor was absolutely "on fire", and her voice is better than before (I think this might have to do with the fact that she sang almost flawlessly every song while she was heavily pregnant, even the ones where she needed a lot of breath and technique, although the spot was taken by Lucy) I am still on a high
Starting to fall in love with the band a bit are we? Welcome to the army Stacey. Nightwish seems to speak to your soul, and you can't explain how or why, you just have to roll with it. This song is about longing for love and it hits hard. Maybe you should listen to a song that's about trying to get free from a toxic love. This one is a bit more metal. Romanticide! ruclips.net/video/zz_7OCCQlXs/видео.html
Symphonic Metal is like ☯️ fire and water. Come deeper 😉 in this music. EPICA - Consigne to oblivion live at zenit. KAMELOT - Lair, Lair. Metal greatings 🤘
Thank you for another great reaction to Nightwish. I noticed in your bio you said that you want to explore new music. There's a young lady by the name of Diana (Dee aah na) Ankudinova (Ann coo DEE nova) who has one of the most unique voices in the world. If you're interested, I would start with her copy of wicked game. She was 15 at this time. I also want to thank you for doing your reaction to Led Zeppelin, probably the greatest rock band in history.
You'll have to watch last ride of the day from wacken with floor talking to the crowd before the song kicks off.... Also Marco singing islander live is something else
Welcome to the deep rabbit hole! Your reaction is wonderful and plausible. It's great that you jumped on the bandwagon. You won't regret it. :-) My tips are "While Your Lips Are Still Red" (Live at Wembley Arena) and "Dead Boy's Poem" (Live in Buenos Aires). Great singing from Marco und Dead Boy's Poem ... well get a handkerchief ready.

I was in Kitee to. I drove my campervan from Västerås Sweden and parked at the beautiful church in Kitee. A night to remember.

Another song/band you could react to is "Christmas Truce" by Sabaton, as it's this time of the year ❄ I think you'll enjoy it!
And Floor's husband plays drums with Sabaton
It's been suggested by others, but Christmas Truce by Sabaton will interest you. It's a brilliant song based on historical events (like most Sabaton songs. They have an excellent history channel too). Floor's husband is the drummer, and Floor sings the outro.
I recommend the documentary-style videos about Floor, as well as the “day-in-the-life” videos Floor has on her RUclips channel, to see just how down-to-earth she is.
I love it when Floor gets into her vocal upper chest register (another example - that final vocal belt in Ghost Love Score). Its Floorgasmic!!!!
I am so glad you love the drummer. So do I! A lot of people don't even mention him. I could spend the whole concert only watching him.🤗
I have often said that Floor's voice touches your soul, some times the tears may flow for no other reason than her voice resonating inside your soul.
Saw a reaction from the Wolf Hunters a while back. Suzi said "My soul trembles when she sings". Yeah, it's like that
There is something special about Jukka's performance on drums.
Must not forget the mastermind of NIGHTWISH - Tuomas Holopainen
A couple of songs I would suggest for you to check are Marko's and Floor's duet of Ave Maria ruclips.net/video/AqsnIzOd8AM/видео.html
And Floor O Holy Night but in Finnish. And pregnant. ruclips.net/video/ym1Wc5dmUYc/видео.html
Thanks for your reactions, really liking them!
Marko, yes he has his own single album, and he is on other artists singles
Hello cat 😅 Your cat is so cute 😁 Floor is awesome 🤘I went to a nightwish concert last year in Antwerp and they are awesome in live 🤘
you MUST watch :
- Vilia lied Best Singers 2019,
- Yours is an empty hope Live Wembley arena 2015,
- Shoemaker Live Hellfest 2022!
Great stuff Stacey. You still need to check out Floor's solo stuff to hear a softer edge to her style.
You'll enjoy the drummer on the song "Nemo" (Wacken open air 2013). Keep an eye on his sticks. What skill! a lotta fun!
Hi Stacey,
Always nice to see someone new discovering Nightwish, MkIII (aka, w/Floor).
Since you also like Marco's voice (rightfully so)… well… some thoughts:
Pure Floor:
Beste Zangers, 2019 (Floor covers assorted tunes in a 'musical appreciation show' - speaking of VERSATILE)
Floor Covers: during Covid, she took to doing covers from her home studio - check out Frozen, and Alone, among others.
Floor in Nightwish:
Elan (live OR video - you can't go wrong), Yours Is An Empty Hope (Floor and Marko. And GROWLS), Alpenglow
Marco:
The Islander (Floor as backup), Kiss While Your Lips Are Still Red (w/Nightwish), Run (w/Exit Eden)
As noted above, I think you'll like Floor and Marco on YIAEH, you've already seen him here, and in Poet and The Pendulum, I think "Yours Is An Empty Hope" will cement your impression of him (and The Islander/Kiss While Your Lips Are Still Red will show you a whole other side).
Yes. "The Islander " You will not be disappointed, Stacey!
On stage Floor talks like a pirate and sings like, well she can sing however she wants.
She did an amazing solo show yesterday. She also did 2 songs with her sister Irene. Was lucky to be there. She was very happy to be back.
thanks for the reaction from Colorado, I appreciate you giving props to Jukka the drummer the best ever. Try The Islander, live t Tampere if want to hear Marko do a solo.
Vacken the W is a V in German, which is where this concert was recorded... ❤
By the way, Nightwish was once compared to fantasy or RPG characters:
1) Floor: Valkyrie
2) Marko: Viking Warrior
3) Troy: Bard
4) Emppu: Imp
5) Tuomas: Carnival Ringmaster
6) Jukka: Pirate
This is why I have the following hashtag: #IMissThePirate
Edit: If you want to see Nightwish playing to the crowd, watch I Want My Tears Back from Wacken 2013.
Excellent Reaction! I 100% with everything you said!🤘🎸
Epicness right there on that stage. 2 years ago I'd not heard of Nightwish or Floor and then I did and I've been hooked eversince. Thank you for a great reaction to this phenomenal band. What a wonderful Nightwish journey you have to look forward to. 🙏😊👍❤️
Love the respect for Jukka - he's an absolute beast and was killing it this concert. Miss that guy!
I miss him too! And I hope, he is going well again!
THIS NEW FOR YOU !!!
a very brief intro into the band (i won't do Finnish surnames)
Floor Jansen - vocals
Marko - bass + vocals
Emppu (Em-poo) - guitar
Jukka (Yooka) - drums
Tuomas (Tu-omas) - keys and composer (also known as the Metal Mozart)
Troy Donockley - pipes and whistles (you've not met him yet)
I suggest you try "storytime", "ghost love score", "romanticide", "wish i had an angel", "ghost river", "amaranth", " son of myself", "dark chest of wonders" live from wacken 13 too
And also "want my tears back" and "dead boys poem" live from buenos aires
"The poet and the pendulum" and "your is an empty hope" live from wembley
"The greatest show on earth" live from tampere
Floor and Marko going full throttle are something to behold.
The band is and her they are performing a work of art again
If you love hearing Marco, you should then listen to "High Hopes". He really shines in that song.
Great reaction Stacey! Nightwish is so much fun. Definitely check Nightwish - High Hopes (End Of An Era) where Marko takes a lead role. It's a Pink Floyd song and the Nightwish guys have said that it's not a cover, it's a tribute.
Thank you so much for continuing with Nightwish!!! Liked, subscribed and rang the bell!❤😊
And let's not forget that Marko is old school and has been the lead singer for his band Tarot since 80's.
With his brother Zachary 🤘
Marko Hietala has been singing from the 80's and his long time band before NW is named "Tarot" 🤘 en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tarot_(band) - Cheers from the same city Marko and the band is from 🍺
This is in Wacken, Germany ( burning skull). Wacken is the biggest Metal Festival of the world. 🤘
To be precise. The Valkyrie Goddess of Metal and Empathy. ❤
Jukka aka the Pirate is a beast behind the drums 😊.
Thank you
I’m with you the drummer is the heart of the instrumentation ; he’s a beast ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Absolutely agree!!!🔥🔥🔥🔥
Hi Stacey. i'm so looking forward to watching your Nightwish & Floor journey oh my the wonder & joy you have coming enjoy.
Floor with this song is goosebumps, tears, love, all the best feelings
Jukka aka "The Boss" is sorely missed, Kai (current drummer)is great ,but Jukka brought the passion, energy & enthusiasm in his playing and presence
Kai is a precision machine. Jukka is a dynamo.
O you are so gonna love the Nightwish journey! I will be watching knowingly! 👍
Good reaction. Did see Floor live yesterday. Amazing performance. She is great live and was very happy to be back. Thanks for this reaction. Subscribed.
Thank you for the support!! Oh wow I’m so jealous you saw her! I bet she’s happy to be back!
Great reaction, Stacey! I know you will like Storytime and Romanticide from this same concert. Another fact about Floor, she just had a baby.
BUT THEN I FOUND HOPE AND THE BEUTY OF NIGHTWISH AND FLOOR A FEW YEARS AGO ON YOU TUBE FROM THE FIRST FEW SEC NOTES SHE SUNG I FELL IN LOVE WITH HER AND THE BAND
Floor is such an incredible vocalist, but also an incredible down-to-earth humble person as well! The best imo! 😍🤩
But no Bandmember over the past 25 Years comes to my Mind, who werent an absolute Pro, wouldnt have worked out anyway, bcs the Band has an very own Standard that they want to keep:)
I could chat on, but i am sure many Things are already written. I watched your Black Sabbaths and even the Mamas and Papas Revs, spared me the Stones and Rammstein Parts( although German, but ...well;D), thx Lady, great Entertainment, your genuie Emotions are an Joy to watch!
To the Next NW or Epica or Else symph Metal review, your doing great!
STay healthy!

The Rampstein part, lol.
Yeah. It's better if you don't understand the words. Not much though.🤣

Hello Stacey, Nightwish Army Italian Division here. Thank you for another very nice and spontaneous reactions. New subscriber for that. 🤟🤟🤟
it's actually interesting to watch someone without a musical background see and hear this stuff for the first time, and see what they notice, what they appreciate, what stands out to them even if they don't have the theoretical knowledge.
Dont forget the keyboarder Tuomas! He is the mastermind behind all this phänomenal compositions!
Yes she will ❤️
Floors voice just touch your soul ❤
- Nightwish’s sound IS distinct…there’s no mistaking them
- symphonic metal IS indeed “chef’s kiss”
- Floor IS a goddess, and when she chooses to flex on us mortals it’s…overwhelming!
06:17 that cat tail rocking 🤩 clever cat.
❤ Nightwish ❤
i like your reaction thank you . they are still great and you have to see nightwish doing ,shoemaker , on the hellfest in 2022 and let floor amaze you again and give you chills .it does to me every time and i am 66 😂
The thing about Nightwish and/or Floor is that they are one of the few bands/singers that actually sound better live than on studio recordings. And if you think all those YT videos will prepare you for a real live experience ....nope.
I was at AFAS Amsterdam, NL yesterday for Floor's first solo show after the birth of Floor's daughter Lucy (and Floor's first show after collapsing from exhaustion after the second Nightwish show in Finland)
Floor was absolutely "on fire", and her voice is better than before (I think this might have to do with the fact that she sang almost flawlessly every song while she was heavily pregnant, even the ones where she needed a lot of breath and technique, although the spot was taken by Lucy)
I am still on a high
Dammit! Floor made me cry again.
