Just picked up a ZV E1 yesterday and I could not be happier felt like a logical upgrade from the zvE10. And now I'm just a full frame family and all my lenses will just work with each other as I grow my collection

I wish I had room for a studio. Unfortunately I don't at the moment. I have a small room but it's so full of tut I would be ashamed to show it on a video. Nearly everything I produce is filmed outside in my garden near my pond. You'll see what I mean on the video I'm putting out on Saturday. It's going to be one of the rare video's that I use the ZV-E10 to record with the Sigma 16 1.4. I thought that was a better choice than my Osmo Action 1 to demonstrate the new Ulanzi U Mic AM18 wireless mic. I blame you for all of it Mark as I bought the ZV-E10 and Sigma lens after watching your videos and I was also introduced to Ulanzi by you. Your videos cost me a fortune lol
Great content, very helpful and informative. Great sense of humor, Mark. Can you share the settings you use for the Sony ZV-E10 to achieve the video quality? I am planning to purchase that camera this week and I know the settings are very important. Thanks for your upcoming reply.

I'm glad I have most of the necessary things and things you've mentioned, I think lights and knowledge are the basics for a good look, and those led tubes do be looking tempting
Hey Mark, excellent video! Please also mention how you treated your room for acoustics. Even with a good mic setup you still have to treat the room in some way.
I use 3 inch thick 4 ft by 2 ft sounds panels with Safe and Sound Insulation. I have 5 of them up - I had them made here in Toronto by Inity Acoutsics: inityacoustics.com/
Well this is fun. I used the Anton 60 as a COB light and a little Newer flat led light for backlight. Then a couple of Govee pole lights frame at bookshelves with hiking gear/cameras displayed. My ZV-E10 with the Sigma 60mm lens rounds out the day. My mic is a Samson Q9U XLR on a boom arm and powered by the Elgato Wave XLR. Man, I sound like a geek! Never thought I’d know this stuff 😂. Anyway, many of these things I got by watching your content. So, thanks (I think😂).
Currently using a falcon eyes LED panel instead of a softbox (is there usually a major difference), reflector as the fill light, and an old ring light as the kick light! Also have an all-in-one stand that holds the camera, mic, and LED panel.

Have had the zv-e10 for a bit over a week now, and I'm impressed. I'm coming from phone cameras and a dji pocket, which well... this camera obliterates with any lens lol. Also bought a dji rs3 mini, zeiss touit 32mm 1.8 and a sigma 56mm 1.4 and also got the kit lens. Looking at pictures taken with my s23u and comparing them to the pictures taken with the zv-e10 makes me think how I ever even thought my phone's camera is any good in non-perfect lighting situations😅. Don't even get me started with video quality lol Really happy with it! Especially the sigma 56mm is awesome!!
I see that you always recommend that 16mm sigma lense with the e10. I'm just starting out and need to photograph and video some small products I'm making. Any recommendations for a lense for product photography?
What makes you use the vlogging CV E10 over a 6400 a 6600 or even the 6700? Cool video too
the ZV-E10 does have mechanical shutter at 11 fps - which is the same as the a6400 and a6600. The a6400 has no stabilization and the a6600 ibis is not very good at all so I choose it over the a6400 and a6600 for vlogging because it has electronic stabilization, the use of gyro data for ultimate smooth footage with catalyst browse. it is also cheaper than the a6400 and a6600 and it is half of the price of the a6700. The a6700 is better in every way - but you have to pay for it. So I recommend the zv-e10 for anyone who wants to shoot video on a budget. But I would not choose it for photo shooters on a budget.

Sorry but of your subject but do you find generic lenses as good as brands like Sony, Nikon etc? Back in the day non digital (film) cameras they weren't from my experience. Thx!!!😊
The one problem with cheap tube lights is they create banding on walls if turned towards them. Especially visible on 8-bit cameras. Otherwise, great video!
For bedroom producers who don't even use the word 'budget", cos there aint one, and their entire "studio" is the mess which they have on their desk, including computers, monitors, audio equipment, video equipment, gaming equipment, some other setup not related to any equipment, and/or any other thing which may or may not be setup in the future but probably won't be cos it's the bedrooom - I recommend using a TV/PC screen as your external monitor. Most TVs have 3-4 HDMI ports so that's easy for direct connection; it is big so you can actually see yourself not being in focus; you can run teleprompter/bullet point list on it (behind the camera) for what you're babbling about in case you lose the plot after 15th take cos you keep saying "footchegesh" instead of "footages"; AND as a byproduct of being turned-on it works as a fill-in light; AND another and - if you use multiple PC screens you may use one as a color fill of your choice (I think Caleb from DSLR Shooter did a vid on that). Yeah. Footchegesh, footchegesh. 😜
Hey Mark, I've been considering getting a monitor with buttons on the outside, because 9 months out of the year it is VERY cold where I live, so I'd be wearing gloves. I've looked at the Feelworld F5 Pro but don't feel very comfortable with it, and have been thinking about the Viltrox DC-550 Pro monitor, but not a lot of reviews of it exist on the Internet. Do you have an opinion for a monitor with buttons?

If you don't need the 2 card slots of the a7iv - I would do the a7c ii. It's got the better autofocus and the 4k 30 streaming
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis how important is the 2 slots I have a ninja 5 monitor so for video I have backup so the only vulnerability would be for photos
Hi Mark. I'm looking for a recommendation for an affordable and small overhead soft light for doing B-roll. Anything you can suggest under $150?
Try a Neewer Panel Light with a softbox:

@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis thanks!
Sorry but of your subject but do you find generic lenses as good as brands like Sony, Nikon etc? Back in the day non digital (film) cameras they weren't from my experience. Thx!!!😊
yes, these days you can get amazing 3rd party glass. Sigma,Tamron and now Viltrox are making fantastic lenses
Thank you!
You bet!
Great Video! Mark!
😜
Nice work ❤
@1:33 I really thought you are standing up in all your videos .until now I saw the back of the chair
ha - yeah, that happens a lot 😄
First like, then watch 😉🔥🔝
Legend!
I have this Portkeys one which is fantastic amzn.to/45yE1Fj
But I am a fan of Viltorx and the 550 does look good. I would give that one a shot.
Thanks!! :)
😄😄 На днях впервые в жизни в живую видел танцовщиц хлопающих ягодицами. Это было на авто тюнинг шоу. Сейчас как раз монтирую видео
🤣🤣 Sounds interesting
HI MARK, DO YOU EXPERIENCE EXCESSIVE EYE STRAIN AFTER USING SONY A7IV ? MANY OF MY COLLEAGUES AND CLIENTS HAVE SAID THAT THEY EXPERIENCE A LOT OF EYE STRAIN AFTER USING OR WATCHING VIDEOS SHOT WITH CAMERAS LIKE A7IV, A7C,etc. THEY ALSO COMPLAIN ABOUT SWOLLEN AND PUFFY EYES DUE TO THE EYE STRAIN CAUSED BY THESE CAMERAS. ANY SIMILAR EXPERIENCE? CAN SONY ADDRESS THIS PROBLEM IF IT EXISTS?
that is not something I have ever experienced or heard from other Sony users.
Switch to Canon.
😄
Can it actually underheat? 😝😝😝. Sooner or later I’ll get myself an fx30! Cool vid Mark! As usual 💪🏻
It's so great at under-heating
We want to see videos on plastic surgery, how tos and what to avoid - there’s no way a camera can make you look that good
There's no bad plastic surgery - get all that you can find
Great vid. But yeh you're right skincare, plastic surgery and no wrinkles are hard to buy!
🤣🤣
Hey Mark, Melissa here - removed my last name (more security stuff) - just wanted to let you know the S-Log 3 grading vid link isn't there. I already watched that one, too, just thought you might wanna know. Thanks for the videos! Love my ZV-E10, just took some fun photos at my nephew's wedding.
Thanks, Melissa - forgot to add the link haha
It’s funny how I spend so much on buying camera bodies(and selling them to try others) but I won’t invest in lighting other than an Amazon ring light. I think I like playing with cameras more than producing content.
Join the club!!! 🤣
Hey how can I look handsome like you
irs all in the video 🤣🤣🤣
Hey Mark. Sorry, how large are your (2) feet? 🤔
They are 24 inches - they are perfectly two feet long.
Niceeeeee🇳🇬
Whenever I watch your videos my wife hides my credit card...
I no longer have access to my credit card
So what do you do when your bald and all the lights make your head glare…?
soft light will reduce glare - so some kind of softbox will help
Can we take a moment to appreciate this guys humor
