Congrats SILKY Nachos! You’ve officially made it to the best people on EARTH list 🤠👏 thanks for watching! >> NEW DBD Video on Tuesday! In the meantime please stay single, and far away from the Mount Massive Asylum. There’s fricken DEAD CORPSE ORGIES there.
First reply lol
Do wraith lore
Silky? Isnt it single? lol
Single!!!!!
How about a video about infested from warframe ? Those have pretty cool backstory and ... they are just very *very* intresting.
“Murkoff took so much from us. Turned us into these *things* because nobody cares about a few forgotten lunatics… so let it burn.”
I always wish there was a way to get through there without putting out his fire, he's so enraged after you undo his efforts
Just saw that speech yesterday. Loved how he ended it by telling miles that he can escape the fire through the kitchen if he wants to live. By the way, is the guy who runs into miles in the kitchen, jumpscaring him, the same guy? Their head looked the same to me
@@ZenMonkeyGodis that what I’m thinking of? When you say he gets enraged, do you mean he’s the screaming incoherent jumpscare guy in the kitchen?
@@jackbennett2269 it is the same guy. He attacks Miles for extinguishing his fires
@@jackbennett2269he was the same guy yes. You turn on the sprinkles and he goes into the kitchen and scares you.
Imagine if Umbrella and Murkoff teamed up on their experiments...
That would be both amazing and yucky
Nanotechnology and bioweapons.. sounds like a world ending combination
Oh no.
The world would really be in for it!
I would actually like to see what they would come up with and how worse it can get
Honestly outlast is one of the best horror games out there
Absolutely! Crazy to think how much detail is actually in this 3-4 hour game 🙏
@Enderboi nope

I feel so bad for the non hostile variants The ones that aren’t aggressive are just sitting there suffering I just want to hug them
I feel the same way all the non hostile variants to me I feel so sorry for them 😔
Silky
You want to hug them huh? I doubt if you came across a patient in real life you wouldn’t want to hug them, you’d hurry away from them, neglect them. The same kind of neglect that ended them up in that asylum. They’re there because no one gave a fuck about them, with the exception of a few of them being murkoff employees.
@@IkeTheSir They're victims, murkoff is evil, not the variants.
@@yeah1326 did I say the variants were evil? I said they’re neglected, which is why they’re all fucked in the head.
My theory as to the reason why they parrot the word "whore" so much is because of potential sexual abuse committed by the Mount Massive Guards. During the abuse, it might have been what the guards called the varients (As well as the line slippery little whore line) It sounds like they're quoting someone rather than calling Miles that.
The inmates could be saying it mockingly in a sort of revenge, to berate them before killing them. We know thanks to the Rick Trager lore comic that he used his power to assault a co-worker so what's not to say the guards did similar with vulnerable inmates.
true, plus the worker that licks waylon's face in whistleblower.
Good point, they don't sound like the type to actually know what the word whore means
The patient who's bathing a corpse seems to be repeating the same things his abuser had said when he was molesting him under the pretense of washing. Whistleblower also has Eddie screaming about being raped and Waylon gets molested in the intro.
Jesus. They just had to bring that into it. It wasn't bad enough tearing heads off and cutting dicks off. They had to add sexual abuse. And in the second one, child murder.
I definitely agree in whistleblower there's a scientist who lick your face in the beginning so it's very obvious that some guards and scientist sexually abused the patients
10:32 I'd like to point out that Chris was already inhumanly strong before he went through the treatment, he had to be run over by a car to finally be knocked down and captured
Other thing, I have a theory. Most of the variants don't have pants on. I think it's related to the repeated Word "whore" by them throughout the Game. Maybe it's how the Murkoff employees called them because they connected wires for the Walrider experiment to the parients through many different places in their bodies and one of those places is their butts. That's why Eddie screams rape before being connected and why they don't wear pants. Because it's easier for the corporation to experiment with them
That's one reason. The engine experiment is in itself very intrusive and violating, and that's not getting into the implication of the Walrider being sexually aggressive in its dreams. Another is the grim reality of sexual abuse being very common in prisons due to the abusers seeing the prisoners as lessers and therefore deserving of mistreatment.
Just a thing here: The Walrider wasn’t a ghost or anything supernatural, according to the files and Miles’ notes, he was a swarm of Nanomachines, the patients thought it was a ghost, plus the Walrider is based on a real German Folklore called the “Alp”, Wenicke probably mentioned it somewhere and that’s where the patients got the idea of the name Walrider
I think the series actually blurs the line between scientific and supernatural. The Walrider is mentioned as having been materialized as early as 1938, various patients in the first game refer to the experiments as rituals/conjurings, and Outlast 2 delves even further into hinting that there might be some ancient Mesopotamian entity speaking out through the Morphogenic engine. Not to mention the obsession of this entity of being born from women.
So it IS a nanoswarm conjured by mad science based on harvesting the mental energy of traumatized people, but that could simply be a way for a non-corporeal entity to take physical form.
@@mattmedrala1947 Well, I don’t really think it’s a supernatural being, since, as Wernicke said in Outlast 1: “Nothing is supernatural”, so it might be just a case of Science creating something that it can’t control
@@L1z43vr It's deliberately made vague, partly to be 'scary' and partly (IMO) to have a broader appeal to atheists and religious players alike. Far as I'm concerned, Wernicke might actually mean that 'nothing is supernatural' because everything to him can be explained by science and therefore is 'natural'. Keep in mind that the interviewer also claims that Wernicke said 'Project Walrider is a gateway', but we never hear Wernicke's answer on what that gateway is. Wernicke also claims that he let the nazis 'believe in an afterlife', but technically speaking the Walrider seems to be preserving the consciousness of its hosts so in a way THAT is an afterlife?
I suspect it might involve psychic powers or some sort of parallel dimension. Outlast 2 is interesting to me because MOST of its supernatural events fit in a science-fiction context, but the strange 'flashbacks' that Blake experiences seem to integrate details that I think might actually be memories from the dead Jessica and the unaccounted-for priest. I suspect the upcoming prequel game will go further into exploring this theme of unlocking psychic powers through experimentation.
@@mattmedrala1947 Actually, if I got my Outlast Lore right, Blake’s flashbacks are actually hallucinations caused by the towers, same thing with Lynn’s pregnancy, it was a phantom pregnancy, like the ones caused by the Morphogenic Engine (Aka the reason why they don’t have women in Mount Massive), they aren’t some sort of entity trying to show him memories of his dead friend or him going to another dimension, they explain this by putting a VERY hidden note in the game, making Blake make a missable remark, and explain it more clearly in _extended universe material_ which, in my opinion, is kinda bad. But yeah, Outlast 2 also has a scientific explanation to what is happening, and it’s Microwave Towers
@@L1z43vr I agree about Outlast 2 doing a pretty bad job as a self contained narrative. However, I'm just saying that the series overall likes to play with the ambiguity of what's 'real' and what's delusional. The variants in Outlast 1 actually aren't saying gibberish but are giving hints as to the true scope of what's happening, and the scientists died for not taking their warnings seriously. The Walrider itself personifies the potential for beliefs to shape reality, since it draws its power from the patients worshiping it. I believe the same applies to Templegate, where the cultists' belief in God is exacerbated by the microwave towers and ends up creating their own version of a deity. Don't forget that the blind dreamers in Whistleblower are implied to have psychic powers, so that's something the series is willing to play with.
So I personally think that the 'visions' that we see in Outlast 2 might actually be activating some psychic potential in Blake, and that manifests in ways such as Loutermilch's thoughts inexplicably appearing in the static recordings, Jessica acting as a 'guardian angel'...and yes, the Morphogenic engine impregnating women would imply something wants to be born.
I also believe this is one of Murkoff's goals in the Outlast Trials: to find a way to unlock psychic potential in people through trauma, drugs, and electricity, and to make them hosts for paranormal entities. The majority of people affected by the treatment go mad and die, but a select few who are able to 'outlast' this process unlock incredible power as we saw in Miles. The Morphogenic engine is just one way to generate this process, the radio towers are a means to broadcast this across a larger population, and I'm sure Murkoff is trying to find a way to control the entire world...
Now I realised that the military guys were going to kill all the variants after the Outlast 1 and dlc ending
If only Chris was there..
Chris was a hero. and died a hero.
haven't miles turned into the walrider and killed every soldier?
@@marshalkhan9249 yeah I think miles turned into the walrider and became the new host. However I think he was actually a good host as he helped waylon park out of mount massive asylum at the end of whistleblower
@@G81L4L nop, park escaped cuz he was quick enough
@@marshalkhan9249 nope, Miles turned the car for Waylon as the turn was too tight to do for Waylon.
The thing I like about outlast is that it shows the extent of the human mind. So many of these guys have been tortured and despite this they still sit and try to figure out what the hell happened
The're still good but in a different kind of twisted good.
Their minds are begging for survival.. it’s crazy because their basically dead.
Not all of them are. Twisted good would be someone like Chris, the big man who chases you everywhere for the greater good of preventing the Walrider from escaping through you
"Nuuuurse, Nuuuuursse! I need some help getting clean, hehe... Nuuuuursee..."
Its weird because I wanted more of murkoff for outlast 2 see their other experiments on people
They did tho. Murkoff created the village
Murkoff made the villagers crazy
@@Fruitbydafooty And Blake...
Murkoff made the radio-relay towers that affect anyone in the surrounding area
Murkoff is in Outlast 2, they’re the entire reason behind the crazy people
I could imagine Umbrella and Murkhoff being rivals competing to make the most power super weapons. Umbrella focusing on bio weapons and Murkoff focusing on nanotech weapons.
Personally it reminds me of the Armacham corporation from the F.E.A.R. games and their psychic experiments - FEAR 2 even features disfigured surgical patients and a psychic amplifier that suspiciously resembles Outlast's morphogenic engine, and Alma Wade is basically a female Walrider.
The murcoff corporation and the umbrella corporation together that would bring a new threat.
Agreed
Thinking way too much into fictional things
I love how much lore and story a game can have esp horror games its so guud
I just want to hug most of them (not the hostile ones). Especially the one with the itch and the missing hands.
I don't think you will able to touch em.
Me too just seeing them like that I feel so sorry for them and in the outlast trials we get to see all of this from their perspective.
Silky 😏 you look so silky 🤤🤤🤤
Yay especially the one in the wheel chair at the beginning of the game I do hope in the outlast trials we see more lore/story of the test subjects. I feel so sorry for the variants I mean the non violent ones and I hope some of them were able to escape the mountain massive asylum after the whistleblower story. Just my opinion.😢🥺
The guy in the straightjacket who calls you silky honestly freaks me out almost as much as the hostile ones. I always immediately sprint away from him, he's just sooooo unsettling. Like what got him put in such extreme restraints??
I definitely have to play the Outlast games
@Gaming with Kativix ok
Please do father martin next
Man. I never heard 70% of these quotes.
The more I learn about outlast game and the characters the more I love the game.
The one variant I found somewhat adorable was the one who asked Waylon if he was his friend and wanted to help him, I don't know why 😂
Hes also in the first outlast game
Are you my friend? He's so huggable tho!!
Outlast and Outlast Whistleblower are phenomenal. I feel so badly for all of the victims. Especially the innocent variants. You know a game did well when you feel sad for even the craziest villains, like Eddie Gluskin
What about the twins or frank manera the cannibal

Not a fan of the defenseless walking sim horrors but outlast does grab my attention. Gonna have to give this one a go! Hope you're doing well my dude and thanks for the video \m/
Same here mort, can’t handle someone beating the crap out of me with a baton without AT LEAST a shove back 💀🤘 it’s a fun speed run tho!
How'd you like it? You crap your pants yet?
I couldn't stand them either, but this game is badass, and actually very spooky at times. I don't think anyone would regret buying this game. Especially not for the lower price. I got it on sale for like 5 dollars
"Walking sim" is such an annoying term, just cheapens the whole thing
The idea that innocent people can be tortured into the hysteria and that these people were probably there for things like eating disorders and trauma is so tragic. These people, with a few exceptions, don't want to kill or rape people, they are literally being tortured by the wallrider and driven to violence. How nightmarish it must have been to already struggling, and then being sold out to a sadistic company.
I remember watching pewdiepie play over like 50 times. Loved that game. Got all the collectables and beat it on the hardest difficulty on playstation.
Insane mode was something else entirely, beat it multiple times.
No better way to completely ruin any good horror experience than to watch that guy play it.
I really hope that the one who was at the cells walking behind you saying "don't worry I don't want to hurt you" survived
It is insane how simple yet terrifying the variants are simply through dialouge and appearance, it's crazy
I remember seeing a play through of this game, and I had nightmares. Nightmares plagued with the faces of these variants, them screaming for help. I was a variant, too, with only three fingers on each hand, and each foot. “Six fingers, six toes, six holes. Six six six.” This quote ran through my mind, I dunno why. I fought, and I studied the variants. The screams and cries, those nightmares scared the hell out of me. It reminded me of the documentaries featuring MK Ultra survivors, or survivors of the Holocaust or cults. Quotes about going to the next stage, the “final solution”, those quotes haunted me in those nightmares. When I woke up, I was in a cold sweat, and I was scared to go back to sleep. This game scared the piss out of me, and brought out some of the worst memories from documentaries I watched, horror movies I thought didn’t phase me, but turns out they effected me more than I thought.
i swear outlast 1 is my all time favorite game. nothing will compare to it. i want to know more about it so much. i tried to listen to all of them and see every variant's perspective
there's comics for the game btw that explain the lore and whatnot
I think you should do a video on the twins next. Also one of the best things about Outlast is the antagonists. Red barrels really succeeded in giving us some scary and memorable villains. Chris Walker is most certainly my favourite out of all of them, he's like nemesis from resident evil 3.
This gives much more depth to the game. All this suffering and pain inside this damned hospital for many years. This could be happening out there somewhere without anybody knowing about it(not the wallrider bullshit) but torturing patients is definitely happening.
Y’know, it is possible that some Variants survived and got sent back to their cells. Obviously, the PMCs wanted to silence anyone who could expose Murkoff, even if that meant killing staff, but a Variant who’s locked up can’t say anything. Also consider that several Variants remained in their cells during the whole incident, so there wouldn’t be any reason for them to die.
In the comics they claim the fatality rate was 100%, and Murkoff is ruthless enough to treat anyone as disposable. Just like Chris, they'd want to eliminate the patients so that there's no chance of the Walrider possessing them.
Finally! A video explaining exactly how I feel. Maturing is realising that outlast is more sad than scary.
4:42 I think he’s actually saying “Long time dead.” At the time of the game, Wernicke had officially been dead for four years, although he wasn’t actually dead. It’s possible that some Variants actually saw him when they were being experimented on, hence why some refer to him as being alive or still doing experiments.
I really enjoy your videos, there's dialogue in Outlast that I never noticed/heard before so watching your vids is like going through the game again from scratch.
Man this Channel is so good, the amount of love for this game and for this is amazing
Top notch editing. I'm glad other people are still talking about this game. Great video.
The amount of work in these videos are great! The content is great, and with your work ethic ,you will definitely be big. Keep working, keep growing.
i'm addicted to these outlast-themed series...you're such a great storyteller!
One line that I found entertaining is "hurricane coming...you can't stop it!" which one varient yells during the Meat chase - what does it even mean lol
Me: *Running away from the variants.*
Variant: "THERE'S MORE THAN ONE WAY TO FUCK A CAT!"
Me: *Stops Running.* HUH?!
*Bonk.*
When the variant said "it's money always money" it made me think of wars and each one we got involved we only join on purpose if it's money if they got invited but there was no money it was because they were attacked and they fought back :-( 😭
I had no idea Outlast is that sick and twisted, now I want to try it Nacho thanks for showing me what it's like and great job explaining it 👍

Yeeey more of these. I'm about to sleep but i guess 17mins wont do harm hehehe
Im glad I found this channel
Your channel rocks
Theory here about the “meat wants meat wants meat” , perhaps they figured if they got fresh meat it could restore their own somehow?
Personally I think that the nanoswarm/Walrider is hungry for flesh and all the gore we see is useful for feeding it.
you have a cool way of explaining things and the video is nicely done. Respect, I'd rather listen to you than my old teacher.
greetings V.
Okay, but dude please i love you and your videos
You should definitely do a video on the twins, your videos are awesome
So much going on, so much questions, I been a fan of outlast since it 1st came out
This is one of the few games where it really makes you feel for each individual character when it comes to the variants. Not just the tragic backstory of the main variants like walker or gluskin, but especially the nameless ones. You see each of them in pain, suffering, and in complete mental imprisonment. The ones not trying to hurt me I genuinely would always want to help.
Please don't stop making Outlast videos, BUDDY
I love these explanation videos do one on the cannibal we need more
Please :)
Nacho please, make a video about mind of Marta from Outlast 2. Or i think good idea would be also about Frank Manera (cannibal). Perfect video as always btw.
Already liked, enjoy ure stuff
2:43 Excuse me I didn't know Shane Dawson was committed here.
These guys were WILD but I liked em.
Especially when they were just in a small group just doing some activities. In whistle-blower they're playing shirts and skins basketball, or just having a rage room session with a doctor, in the base game when they're just worshipping with father Martin, and that one room where they're just watching television static- just chillin, waiting for the end.

Love that reference
Can't wait for the prequel, the third outlast, there will be so much explained
damn i've never been this early in a video that it's still 360p
I like to think that the violent ones were killers or criminals in his past, the pacific ones are just people that were mentally deranged and the crying and suffering variants were murkoff workers or periodist that had to be "punished"
If they got Paul to work for them to pay for treatment for his daughter than its probably pretty common for murkoff to find people to put into the programs too.
You should delve deep into the mind of Krieg from the Borderlands videogame series. Incredible dialogue, you'll have a field day with him.

Outlast is a fantastic game so exited for the new one 😁
i love this game! never played it never will, cuz im to scared of it, but i love how they put backstory to every one in this game, that gave life to it? as in real life things happen for reason, most horror games dont have that.
12:40 With the last trailer of the outlast trials, we can say you were right.
Touching upon Outlast in 2021?
That's awesome.
This game continues to come back to me. I think of a quote or a certain moment. Outlast 2 isn’t as good but I get a similar feeling. There’s nothing like red barrels in the industry
Fun fact i’ve played this game 12 times and not once have i heard them say some of those lines
2:23 is my favourite variant.
I actually hope at least he survived.

Could that Jennifer be Jennifer Roland? A minor character that shows up in the documents in both Outlast 1(Variant Postmorteu) and Outlast 2(Old traveler). A Murkoff executive I'm guessing. Could it be that the patient she talks about in her document "My fourteenth autopsy of a Walrider patient, showing no more signs of accepting the therapy than any of the others" and "Will submit another request to leave [...] Is more than I feel like I can handle" is that variant?
Could it be that Jenny Roland was trying to get that patient to accept the Walrider and in the middle of it all had given up on him? Is that what he means by we didn't finish last time?
Wouldn't that mean he's a ghost? Also, it's interesting to note that she disagrees with Wernicke's method and suggests some alternative 'mechanical engine based on major sperm protein', and she's involved in the experiments involving the mass pregnancies and infanticide at Templegate. Feel like to some extent Murkoff is trying to provoke the birth of a supernatural entity, and Jenny is complicit in this.
These variants are having a constant nightmare and then there's one guy that had an itch and can't scratch it himself. Poor guy.
