Sorry to say but you actually don't enter that room in the dlc. Its blocked off. You can enter it in the full game if you get the inmate who kills the guard to knock it down.

Every animation where enemies cut off your head (Chris, Trager or any other variants that use the same animations as him) you can see your body and the gore in the neck when your head falls on the ground
The security room in the prison block with the battery, it is accesible, after opening the decontamination chamber, when the guy walks to you, you have to hide for long enough and he'll bash it down.

6:53 Sometimes the enemy will bash this door down during this section, making this room enterable. Curiously enough, it happened to me on my very first playthrough back then, making me think at first that it was scripted to happen, but it's not.
Man I love this game. I'll never forget the first time I played it and I ran outta batteries. I was in one of the outside areas and I could here chains dragging around somewhere around be. I stuck to the walls and literally had to feel my way around in the dark.
6:54 I've actually managed to get into it but it's really hard. The only way to get into it is to have the door destroyed by the patient that'll look for you in that area.
After you activate the airlock in the prison, a variant will come after you. He will search the lockers if you are hiding inside and then leaves. After he leaves, he goes and smashes down the door you showed. If you run some evasive maneuvers, you can manage to get in and get the battery. There are also some lockers but he will find the correct one and pull you out. So leave quickly after you get the battery.
Love the way you film n edit ur vids. Its kinda like watching a movie whilst learnin about the game. No other channel does these out of bounds as gud as u Slippy.
I'm surprised how crap the animations look in third person. Considering how good they look in first person. I mean, obviously they look a bit jank. But it feels like the animations looks shockingly worse than usual. Most games kinda still look ok in third person, just with a bunch of clipping and stuff.
the security room in 7:00 can be opened without hacks, ive done it a couple of times in my runs, its really hard, the only thing you have to do is open the other security room (where you press a button to unlock a decontamination area), just a little bit by holding click and then closing it, and then running to the security door thats shown in this video, then click it to try to open it (it wont open) and then when the animation is done, go hide somewhere, if you're lucky, the variant that is supposed to chase you will break that door and when he leaves you can take the battery, hope it helps !
At 6:50 i have been in that room and and when I escape the first prisoner when the second one comes after u if u hide in a locker and wait long enough he brakes the door down
Just re-played this game this evening for the first time since like 2014. Immediately wanted to look on youtube to see if anyone had done this. Here I am. I have subbed. Nice video, i'll be binge-ing more.
I might be a bit late and maybe someone already pointied this out but I believe the reason Miles and Park are both headless is because Chris (and maybe other variants) can decapitate you, so to make things easier for the animators (and since you never see your reflection anywhere) when you get decapitated by Chris, we simply see our own body in his hands, without your head in it (obviously lol). So yeah, pretty smart of the dev team imo, I'm not sure if any other horror video games have included a death animation like that.
And also another thing is back then this game was created in 2013, Many games back then didn't have those advanced animations like they do now, And also outlast was created by red barrels, They had a tight budget and had to use certain stuff that they could, if they had more money, they would had more smoother animations, so they had to make it easier for the animation team to just make them in 1st person which they only had enough budget to do that, It cost a lot money to hire animators to do a lot of advanced coding, and also adding characters too, A lot of people don't understand the development of games and it's not easy to do that in 1 day and not very easy to do
At 6:52, you can actually unlock the security room after pressing the button to unlock the buffers. You had to hide in the locker as an enemy Variant that had previously beaten a security guard to death goes mobile, getting to plummet you on sight. Wait for the Variant to break down that door, allowing you to enter that room and pickup that battery that you thought you could not do so otherwise.
I know the date and my info can be outdated. But you can enter to that room at 6:51. Some of the varians who chasing you can randomly break that door searching for you. Then you can enter here and take battery.
6:50 After you pressed the button in the room next to it, some enemy will come. If you hide in the same there, on his way back the enemy will destroy that door looking for you. You can then enter that room.

Nah. The room in the DLC is the same one as in the main game. That room in the Courtyard is also the same in both games. Blocked off paths are either obstacles moved by the patients or the last alive security guards. Another reason could be that they were added for the heck of it as other areas you couldn't enter also have missing props or random stuff added that aren't in the actual level.
That battery in the security room is obtainable, the guy that tells you to be quiet starts chasing you when you press the button and when he loses you he then goes to break down that door

The fact that the main character has no head, and can still walk, run and do everything is more scarier than the villains, maybe that is why they want to kill the main character, because they are scare of zombies haha lol.
I think the reason they are headless in the game is because your never gonna see the character in it and I feel like if the character had a head there would most likely be glitches and more bugs when your character gets decapitated BUT you do see them with heads in the graphic novel! i think there is a few deaths in the game or one rare death in the game where you see the neck hole i couldnt finish the game the guy with the scissors kept killing me thats when i saw it he cut the player models head off with them
The reason you can see miles decapitated neck is because Chris walkers execution is to grab you by the neck and rip your head off. Very briefly you can see him dropping your body in his other hand
7:06 the ONLY way to get inside is using the Outlast Unlocker mod, with this mod you can unlock all those doors that can't be opened normally. I manage to get those batteries WITH THE MOD!
In the ending, did they shoot miles because they knew he was the new host, or did they shoot him to tie up a loose end and at that point realized what happened?

It would be very interesting to see from different angle final scene in Darksiders 2, the part when Death character removes his mask and gives it to Crowfather. Player cant see his face since he is showing his back when he is jumping. Does he have modified face when he takes off mask, or does he only take off copy of mask and still wears mask when going for jump, that is the question, modifying camera angle could give us an answer after 8 years since that game came out.

Yeah agreed, it is surprising how janky they look, when they look so smooth from the 1st person view.
There’s no reason for them to look good in third person if you never get to see yourself from that perspective through normal gameplay.

So much stuff youd normally never see. Man this is easiest the best vid game vid ive seen yet.
outlast was on a very tight budget, thats why most of the characters look the same and the spawning and movements are a bit off.
the game was also developed and released within a year
And yet it’s one of the best horror experiences ever

In the prison center, that secret room with the battery inside you can only access it if the NPC is breaking the door.

They killed him because they knew he planned to tell the world what they were doing at the asylum, then discovered he was the host after doing that.

No, I've never been able to get into that security room either. Not in the main game, anyway. I don't recall whether or not I got in there in the DLC.
You can get into it if you don't disturb the in mate who attacks you after you press the button. He bashes the door down.
