- Endsong brings forward the Human Sphere's timeline to the current day, with the fall of the Cerberus Gate and the return of the Exrah to the forces of the alien Combined Army. Paint guides and dozens of new unit profiles flesh out the story of the game and we're also given three story based missions to tell the story of the invasion. Let's check it out!
Thanks to Corvus Belli for the complimentary advance copy of the Book to review.

I suppose it may also be because I'm older as well, but I agree with your concerns about digital rules repositories.
You bring up a great point about physical rules. Those of us old enough to remember growing up before the internet can easily picture a bleak future without it. I'm sticking to my physical rules and printing whatever else I need lol.
Related to your point about the rules, I feel the same way about the points too. I wish there was a button on Army that allowed me to print out all units, skills, and stats for a faction/sectorial. That way, I could always build a list in the forever future, or build a list without looking at a screen, or -- you know -- build a list when Army goes down for a couple days.
Now I want to play Infinity. Time to go through your backlog and see how it plays
Thank you for flexing on having the new book already! I agree with you view on the digital rules vs. written. It is awesome in many respects but also falls flat if you are lacking the interwebs connection.
They could see that races had ascended before, so they made an AI to figure out how to do it.
It said "I figured it out, but you're not ready" and ascended.
So they made another that was more linked to them, and it figured out that they weren't ready.
So it made a third AI that was a copy of the first and watched it to see how it did it, but that AI figured out it was being watched and launched a civil war.
So after winning the civil war, they then said "let's just conquer other races and see how THEY do it", and so here we are, invasions everywhere.
Quite fun!
Probably the best release from CB in a really long time.
It's stuff like this that kills me that my most readily available wargaming buddy, and the local meta to boot, are all about that 40K. Seems really neat but i can hardly justify picking it ip up haha.
Nice thorough review!
Thank you for quick lookthrough. Generaly I like the CB books, but I honestly hope the writing here will be better than the boring Uprising (or 3rd Offensive). Generaly I think the book is too expensive this time. I just orderd it, because a friend and me share the bundle so I got the Sister and he the Nightgoblin ;.) I also wish they will not include painting guids. For me this is wasted book space. I want more art, more to read. We have plenty of painting guides flowing around on Ytube etc.
I find the Infinity universe fascinating even if the rules are still kinda intimidating. I don't know if you've checked out Modiphius' licenced Infinity TTRPG, but it looks fun.
I'm a new player, and while the system is deep, the core rules are actually pretty simple.
The thing that will catch you out is an ability or piece of equipment you've not seen before. You'll probably get smashed, but I always find that's the best learning experience.
Find a local flgs or group who play and have a few introduction games. I hope you enjoy it. I'm less than a year in and looking at my second full faction already!
Great review! I love printed books, but I'm happy that this book is just lore, and the rules are free and digital so they can get updated when needed and I am not forced to re-buy books every year.
Also, I want the new Squalo and Bolts minis like yesterday :D
Every now and again you learn that how you thought a word was pronounced is not remotely close to how it is actually pronounced.
Listening to Ash pronounce Equipe Argent is one of those moments for me.
It’s like when I listen to you guys say ‘Schedule!’
@@GuerrillaMiniatureGameséquipe argent is well prononced, i'm french
Thank you forced middle school French classes!
Do you know if they allow vehicles to be equipped from house lists?
While I agree on the printed material and the digital era discussion and I do like books on my bookcases, I think the advantage of the flexibility in addressing issues and speeding development of the game system creates a distinct advantage on the digital format.
As long as we can create a printed copy, I think we all can be satisfied.
are you guys going to do the new silver bayonet carpathian mountains book game play when you have time?
It’s on the list! It’s summer here so with the kids out of school the schedule gets a lot tighter for projects but I’ll get there :)
Sexy Space Murder Nuns? Dont say it, dont say it.......Sororitas!
I like these books but they are INSANELY expensive for just a low tier story and background.
The counter is you don't need it. All the rules are totally free which is just fantastic
Do we know what it's like for human civilians in zones controlled by the EI/Combined Army?
So just to confirm, we can't take a reinforcement point outside of our faction? I was really hoping to have some crazy variety in my list building.
"Soldiers of Fortune" mod is what you are looking for. You can find it in ITS pdf.
he said zipdrive...
Printed books aren't forever if your studio floods :p
Touché!
