Painting Furniture BLACK with Gold Accents│Streak Free│Beginner Friendly│Chalk Paint, Wax, Decoupage

- Aloha everyone!
In this tutorial we’ll be repainting a piece of furniture that haven’t sold in a very long time, so we are going to transform it into a black beauty with gold accents (called ’The Black Mustang’), using waxes, paint, hemp oil and also decoupage paper, all from Dixie Belle Paint Company.

Old furniture is always a joy to makeover in your favorite colors high gloss mirrors etc ..enjoy it 13 years for me took three years to perfect had some compliments glue things on top can't move but can take off later glass pieces maybe depends it's a joy to do I do art 🎨 on cloths come out looking so perfect especially in the sun there was mess up at times but I'm darn good at it now enjoy your work it your art skills to perfect and the finish is marvelous thanks for sharing tips is always good that's how one learns and it's a grand feeling know it's us that did it I started because bleach wasted on my pants three little spots and the beginning of something wonderful happen ARTISTS iam.forever 🏆

Edit: i see why you did the gold before sealing. It looks amazing the way you did it. The gold really stands out better
Inspiring, makes me want to find old school furniture, paint it black, seal it, and goldleaf or silver leaf it. You ahould try metallic wax for hardware. It takes a day or two to dry but its worth it
I'm currently restoring an antique mirror and came to your channel to get tips on adding antique gold over the black paint. I'm so glad I did!
First, I didn't know that the hemp oil helps seal the black paint in and makes it streak free.
Second, now I know to wait until after the hemp oil to add the gold.
QUESTION: How long did you wait to re-add the gold after the hemp oil?

What do you say about hamp oil and wax, it is diffucult tp hear. Do you use wax after the hamp oil or not?

Hi Teresa! That is a make-up brush haha 😆 probably a foundation/ concealer brush from Primark, but it worked amazing for wax x
