What I really loathe about this minigame beside just despising it, is the fact that you constantly have to go through all those lifesucking menus whenever you just want to simply retry.
You are already annoyed, so why would the game waste your time on top of that?

*Pay money to get in again*

I managed to get the achievement for this purgatorial thing.
I'm never going back here again.
To any future frustrated players that will inevitably watch this vid, here's my advice: set this vid to 0.25 speed, then study and memorize very carefully where the ball is when Kiryu swings for each pitch. It's a lot more consistent this way than using the "watch Kiryu tense up" method. Also if you're on PC don't forget to use the keyboard to aim and bat since the crosshair stays put which allows you to focus on batting.
Im still chapter 7 and im at 83% completion 😂😂😂 i think i'll go on with the story now

Easier said than done. Sometimes I still mess it up, even when I press X when Kiryu stops moving the bat. The timing is so odd sometimes.
I've just wasted 1.5 billion yen trying to do this.

argh i've always hated the baseball mini game. except when it's tatsuya's. that was fun.
Kiryu tensing up didnt work for me. Just memorize his pitches. Wont work right away of course so just keep at it. Dude below in the comments has every pitch written down so just go off that. For Mahjong tips search for the Steam guide for Yakuza 0. Now i understand it because of that.
