Lol. Absolutely 💯. He literally just seems effortless. Arms and face look so relaxed. This guys is amazing! Just re watched Rupps record race and its impressive the difference between the two.
man those first few laps the difference in cadence/effort between Nuguse and Pacer was crazy looking...you could tell Nuguse was feeling comfortable and relaxed running those early 30"/laps. So awesome. So happy for him, too.
Absolutely crazy. One thing, don’t take this vid down in a month. Coverage companies seem to like posting race vids then taking them down a few weeks later
The latest crop of young runners are good. Yared sets the NCAA record last year with 7:38. Then in this race he chops ten seconds off that time. Meanwhile Mario Garcia who just graduated from Ole Miss runs four seconds faster than Nuguse’s old record, Drew Bosley sets a new one by around two seconds, and Hobbs Kessler, who should be a red shirt freshman at NAU misses Nuguse’s record by a half second. (Kessler is a sophomore at NAU but so good he went pro as a true freshman.) Meanwhile down in Australia a 16 year old kid, Cameron Myers just ran a 3:46 1500m (3:57 mile equivalent.) That’s 0.68 from Jakob Ingebrigsten’s world record for 16 year olds, and the kid has until sometime in June before he turns 17. Exciting, all of it. Correction. The Australian boy ran 3:40, not 3:46.
Congratulations to Nuguse for an outstanding performance breaking the American/facility record with his smooth space eating stride and the other athletes on a fine race as well. Thank you for posting.
Awesome! Old US record time is noted in the written comments and compared to the new record! This might be a first on any of these vids where a record has been broken and the old record time is also mentioned in the comments section!!!!! Congrats! I hope this will always be handled this way going forward!!!
Love Yared’s running form. Smooth and has a long “track” stride. Similar to Mo Farah except the arm swing. Such a powerful athlete, he’ll run fast from 800m-3000m, who knows maybe a 5000m😅
@@RunForPeace-hk1cu No? You don’t think you get as much as 4 seconds going outdoors in the 3000m? You get as much as 2 seconds going indoors to outdoors in the 1500m when you compare typical PRs.
There's a good post race interview with Sam Atkin (who finished second in this race, breaking Mo Farah's British record), with a little glimpse into the life of a post-collegiate athlete: ruclips.net/video/0jlb11gdD0g/видео.html
@@jvc0014 Ignore the poster. He ran 7:39 and before this race the NCAA record was 7:38 set last year. If he was in the NCAA nobody would touch him. He would even do well in Europe with that time. Even Fogg ran well. The NCAA 3k meet record is 7:45 and he ran 7:44.
Nuguse’s form is actually unreal, he really just eats up ground while looking like he’s out for a casual stroll
Lol. Absolutely 💯. He literally just seems effortless. Arms and face look so relaxed. This guys is amazing! Just re watched Rupps record race and its impressive the difference between the two.
And he has this very high arm carriage looks like Sifan Hassan but as a male athlete

He already makes running the 1500m & mile look easy. This looked like a regular run! So smooth.

screen record it now...
Also, but the dates in please. They have a history of uploading old races and I’m clueless because I don’t religiously follow all the records.
Yared unzipping part of his top with 2 laps to go. Like him saying: "Hold my beer, it's about to get real hot in here!" Awesome race!

Wow
Any chance of seeing Grijalva's 3:53? I'm not sure, but it might be his first time under 4-flat.
He went 2:00 and then 1:53 too, fucking ridiculous
@@collinfay8012 Pretty sure thats what Cole Hocker did to win indoor NCAAs a few years ago

6:54 unzips his uniform while running an American record
Yeah he said the suit was about uncomfortable
There's gotta be a collegiate record somewhere. Was it Drew Bosley's 7:36?
yeah
And Alex Phillip with the D3 NCAA record
Congratulations to Nuguse for an outstanding performance breaking the American/facility record with his smooth space eating stride and the other athletes on a fine race as well. Thank you for posting.
The lack of respect for Sam Atkin is insane. Fastest UK 3k and not a peep
Agreed. Good interview with Sam here: ruclips.net/video/0jlb11gdD0g/видео.html
Lost my respect when he dnf at olympics, commonwealth games and European champs all 10k
Incredible fluidity
There are so many records in track. It is insane!
Be under no illusion; he worked hard in the last km for that spectacular time.
Yeah Stevie Wonder could see that but that is what separates the good from the great!
And now 3:47.38 mile American record at Millrose. What a talent!
These gentlemen are superhuman, what a pace!!
Drew Bosley, Nico Young & co should be EPIC at NCAAs…and if Sahlman runs indoors (officially) watch out. Stay healthy, Lumberjacks!

basically two 4:02 miles together nonstop. how is that fkn possible lol insane
Drew Bosley is a beast.
Dream on papi
Hes just getting better and better
They are uploading fast today let’s keep it up
the Goose looks CHILL when he runs
Now that's just unreal. 15/5 double at USAs?
Nigus means King in Amharic (Ethiopian ) and Yared is ancient Ethiopian music composer so you get the clue.
4:01 then Nuguse broke loose!
🦢 (I know it’s a swan) 😊

Damn. That’s probably a 7:24/5 outdoors. He’s in phenomenal shape. Watch out…
nah ...7:24 is light years faster.

Alex Phillip also got the D3 NCAA record
Also dathan run 7:38 around warm up zone
7:28 is amazing.
Someone inspect this track! I’m starting to think it measures short.
for real.
No, there was a study that showed that it's just more optimally banked and they use plywood. Next time keep your mouth shut casual
What an interesting runner and stride!
the speedsuit looks fire
Absolutely amazing!
Nuguse looks calm above but paddles hard below
Ikr. it doesn’t look like he’s even going that fast because of how graceful and smooth he runs but he is MOVIN
That was awesome!!
Outstanding!
Congrats Yared. Great race. Go Irish ☘️
This is nuts

Ritzzzzzzzzzzzz!!!!!!! Best coach in America. Only Patrick Sang is better
That's saying quite a bit, considering the resume of Patrick Sang.
they really didn't even mention drew bosley's collegiate record
Those Ethiopian genetics
Is this from this year or 2017? Just asking, I know what flotrack be like..

Adam Fogg 7:44 ...
YARED NUGUSSY
It's ያሬድ ንጉስ which translate to Yared music composer the king from Amharic🇪🇹 but your translation is hilarious 😅
At the 5 minute mark I said is he just going to bury everyone and that's exactly what he does. The goose is loose.
Why put the result in the title of the video? It spoils the experience of watching the race.
Yes, what you said.
British record for Atkin.
And to think there lived a man that ran more than 0.5s faster per 400m
The goose is loose
Commentators still can’t pronounce Luis Grijalva’s name. SMH
Nice or for fogdog
If only Rupp had super spikes in his day 😢
Rupp had benefits/technology that record holders before him didn't have..there's always a way to diminishes someone's accomplishments.
Deon call Ritz. Get him to take over the track program at CU.
Fog doggggg
Sounds as American as apple pie.

I know this much, Hobbs Kessler blew it by going pro. Had he stuck with NAU, he'd be knocking things out of the park.
