It looks like he's traveling into another dimension. Maybe in some other universe there is a buster traveling through space at the speed of sound today still!
Dimensional-traveling and speed-busting are The Flash's shtick. I'm pretty sure by the looks of the high-speed footage, Buster just became The Splat, whose powers work ONLY ONCE.
Buster died as he lived, involved in one of Adam and Jamie's cruel, painful experiments, at least this time there wasn't enough of him to rebuild. But in the end was even 1% of the original dummy that showed up at the workshop in 2003? He lived a life full of burns, falls, beatings, bashings and explosions, constantly denied the sweet relief of death as his soul is forced back together as his broken and tortured body is rebuilt as some cruel joke until he looked in the mirror and realized he no longer reflected the perfect image of a dummy his creators had built him to be. But now blessed be the child free from the agony and hardships that life had thrown his way, at long last the final chapter hath been written in the life of what had once been an optimistic young crash test dummy known as Buster. Rest easy my friend your long, difficult journey has finally reached it's end and you may now be at peace.
Luke Freeman yes but I don't think all deaths are caused from the human body being exploded into billions of micro cells instantly from slamming into the wall
This…this is probably one of my favorite Mythbusters moments. Buster is flying like a badass only to disintegrate the moment he makes contact with that wall xD
O, fearsome, gallant Buster, who boldly strode where mortal men dared not tread, thy sacrifice shall be remembered. We honor thy memory with paeans and laurels. Godspeed, Noble Buster. Godspeed.
never took a good physics class growing up but i find it fascinating. my best understanding of what's happening is that the kinetic energy is so strong and the inertia of getting that heavy brick moving so great, that it's all concentrated at a point as heat energy and combusts on impact until the brick moves out of the way?
Superluminal fisting: traveling so fast that the light from his hand couldn't catch up, effectively making it invisible relative to the rest of his body Of course, this isn't what's happening, or even a thing really, but I just wanted to use the chance to say superluminal fisting. Heil science!
Painless most likely. If you were in the same pose as Buster all the blood (and oxygen) would be forced away from your brain into your legs and feet. In the first few seconds you might feel a great pressure in your lower body and legs as most of your blood was forced into them, but you would very quickly black out (from lack of blood and therefore oxygen) and be hurtled, unconscious, into your target. This is an oddly humane manner of death as you're not awake to experience it, and get a sick roller coaster ride as well before you pass out.
Why would they use Buster for that? ? Buster should be in a museum somewhere. They could have used any mannequin or crash test dummy for that. Poor Buster 😢😢
Going so fast that parts of him were combusting on impact. Amazing.
Vaporized
Did you miss the flashes of light? That's combustion.
Boosted98gsx Yes, but I was pointing out how destructive the impact/combustion was
Energy to vaporize is a bit less than the energy to then combust it at STP
WRONG! That was not combustion. That light was the gates of Valhalla opening to accept the greatest hero of our time.
Basically the finishing scene of my favorite series. The end just can't get more official than this.
you will be missed Buster, RIP
never liked him, he was too quiet
S James Buster was like Stig in Top gear, he never spoke either and he was great.
It looks like he's traveling into another dimension.

AvengerII
I like that super power. Nice one.
ive always had a theory that vaporization (in some ways) is the key to dimensional travel and time travel and stuff lol just a stoners theory tho
thats as stupid as the chinese astronught sitting on a chair filled with explosives trying to get to space.
Kyle DeBord you just turn into vapor. Gasses dont go inti other dimensions
The kool aid man's got nothing on buster
Buster didn't actually make it through the wall.
Now that's some funny sh*t right there.....lol

Rest easy my friend your long, difficult journey has finally reached it's end and you may now be at peace.
By the end, Buster was basically a Ship of Theseus
buster was teleported to the phantom zone.
ONE PUNCH!
No.
thats crazy you can actually see the shock wave as it hits behind the wall
Buster entered the speed force...please don't screw up the timeline.....
It's still sad to see buster going out this way, he will always be remembered in my heart.
So long buster.
Rest in pieces, Buster. You will be mist.
Buster: living on happily in the 5th Dimension
His voice will blend nicely with Marilyn and Billy.
I love the little sparks that happen when he makes contact with the wall
we love you buster RIP buster 2003-2016
"WITNESS ME!!" - Buster, final words
Thats how I wanna die.
Jerome L. in that situation you wouldn't die. you would just exist one moment and not exist the next
that's what dying is...
Luke Freeman yes but I don't think all deaths are caused from the human body being exploded into billions of micro cells instantly from slamming into the wall
You'd be dead the second the rocket goes off from such high g forces that literally can implode your organs and tissue
Forget being Buried or cremated just go the speed of sound into a brick wall sounds better
Buster didn't disintegrate, he phased into another dimension and super-sonic socked another myth in the balls!
gone in 60 seconds. Bye Bye Buster. Buster 2003-2016
The silence is deafening.
This…this is probably one of my favorite Mythbusters moments. Buster is flying like a badass only to disintegrate the moment he makes contact with that wall xD
* slowly closes eyes*
*whispers*
superman
the saddest footage by far
the most beautiful quarter of a second ever scretched into a glorious minute twenty
If you look at the dust as it bursts out, you can kind of see the outline of Buster's head.
look at all that kinetic energy converting buster and that wall into dust
HE WAS ONLY A BOY!
O, fearsome, gallant Buster, who boldly strode where mortal men dared not tread, thy sacrifice shall be remembered. We honor thy memory with paeans and laurels.
Godspeed, Noble Buster. Godspeed.
Goodbye old friend
never took a good physics class growing up but i find it fascinating. my best understanding of what's happening is that the kinetic energy is so strong and the inertia of getting that heavy brick moving so great, that it's all concentrated at a point as heat energy and combusts on impact until the brick moves out of the way?
a moment of silence for a fallen hero. hats off to you Buster!
One of my favorite shows!
Oh Buster….. I don’t think you’re coming back from that one any time EVER!
ONE PUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUNNNCCCHH!!!!
and only one punch X)
How many hundreds or thousandths of a second is this played back at?
Six
This makes me think of the running through walls scene from "The Men Who Stare At Goats", but gone horribly wrong.
Is it just me or can you see a smiley face in the top dust cloud after impact?
Remember when Yosemite Sam hit the wall in the tunnel, and there was a flash of light? Buster shows it was plausible.
It wasn't easy, after many attempts, many disappointments, I finally managed to watch this video
hahaha. same here 😂 I've been hunting this video 😅
The best way to end the series was to do a montage of all of busters' awesomeness and then do that to say goodbye
This is beautiful
Crazy... You can actually see the sound barrier!
If you look close, the wall generates a shockwave out the back side..
goodbye my childhood's hero
The flashes of light were him entering another dimension.
listening to Broken by Seether in another tab while watching this. RIP buster
The fact that the cart also hit the wall defeated the purpose of that experiment
There was no purpose, other than to destroy the crash test dummy....
That's just pure art
Buster! The hero we need.
Well buster ended more or less like my childhood illusions about marriage. 0:15 XD
To Valhalla, shiny and chrome.
So much for the recycling bin..... RIP Buster
The sad thing is that Buster was never found again even after the episode
The wall looked like it turned into water for a second...
Anyone else notice that Buster was missing his right hand? In the footage right before launch he was shown to still have it.
ripped of mid flight
Superluminal fisting: traveling so fast that the light from his hand couldn't catch up, effectively making it invisible relative to the rest of his body
Of course, this isn't what's happening, or even a thing really, but I just wanted to use the chance to say superluminal fisting. Heil science!
Dudes, this should have been i 4K. Watching the shockwave (.25 speed) before the wall explodes is awesome :D
watch on .25 speed and you can see the shock waves on the other side of the wall
Dude's legs and feet just slipped into the wall like the T-800 giving a last thumbs up. 👍
i’m pretty sure that’s how the flash teleported
Buster literally shattered like glass on impact.
That was fucking AMAZING! Good Bye Buster!!! Greatest Test dummy Ever!!
We salute you Buster!
rip, he literally disintegrated.
moving in excess of 780 miles per hour (1255 kilometers per hour) this was definitely the end of buster.
Use the setting to go to 0.25× and you can see what happened to buster almost exactly
He went out in the style he has always dreamed of. Becoming a Superhero and then disappearing into a wall!
Buster was sent to a different dimension
Buster's in another dimension, Buckaroo Banzai style!
Rest in pieces.
you can see his face in the dust after he hits the wall!!!
the man, the dummy, the myth, the legend.
rest in peace brah. BI
They should have done it with a 10,000 ton concrete block instead of a cinderblock wall.
He hit the wall so hard he disappeared
Imagine if this was a method of capital punishment? 😮
that's how portals are opened
Dude you can see a shockwave behind the wall travel through the air
Rest in peace buster
I hope he is alright
He definitely didn't make it to the other side of the wall
*tear rolls down eye*
I wonder how painful this would be. If it happened to yourself.
This needs to be played with Ave Maria.
Or the 1812 overture...
Holy shit.
Why would they use Buster for that? ? Buster should be in a museum somewhere. They could have used any mannequin or crash test dummy for that. Poor Buster 😢😢
Good bye Buster
He was missing his fist.
buster became one with the Speed force
Very cool! But did it trip the shock sensors??
Course 1: Bob-omb Battlefield
Buster... Is... Superman!!
Buster traveled to another dimension dont try to tell me otherwise
RIP Buster.
this needs to be paired up with Ave Maria
They basically erased Buster from existence.
This needs some soft music. It deserves Moonlight Sonata, or something like that. So beautiful!
already missing me :(
He went to platform 9 and 3 quarters
wow he mashed like glass
why the man make micro explosions on head and arm/hand while impact on wall???
Rip buster he lived a good live
