Thanks for posting this! Great step by step. Please post your thoughts once you have your car back on the road! Thinking of getting this for my Elise!

Thanks! It may be a couple months, but yes, I will add more impressions once I've got some miles on the new system.

I have a long post on my thoughts on Lotustalk.com but in short, it's a nice set up, but I actually found that my stock system was in really good shape. I really don't notice a difference in shift quality from stock.

About how long did this job take you? I'm trying to figure out if I should spend $1250 for a lotus shop to do my Alitech, Cables & LETSLA mechanism

I'd guess the whole job took about 4-5 hours with final adjustment fiddling. If I had to do it over, I'd do it myself again instead of paying for it.

@@justaddafan damn! That's pretty good time. Do you have a mechanical background? I've installed a supercharger on an S2000 before but I've heard a couple people say pulling those cables was the hardest thing they've done! Just to clarify did you pull them out from the back, or pull them through the cabin?

@@Driv300mph I'm a mechanical engineer, but that usually means it takes a lot longer to do a job :). Removing the cables is actually pretty easy when you're changing the shifter as well. I can see it being a more involved job when trying to keep the stock shifter in the car. The hardest part is getting to the clips on the transmission. It helps to have skinny engineer's arms. My process was to release them from the transmission, then the cabin, then pull them out from under the car. Install in reverse.
