Sure wish I could walk in DG and say, "Gimme the tape!" Last time, they laughed me out of the store. I should have said, "Got any goriller?" I bet they'd have jumped all over the opportunity to get me the tape!
I've always wondered which tape was the best, i just used duck tape because it was what I knew. Thank you for the reviews 😁 awesome video Billy, you're always good for a giggle ❤
Of every video that I have had the pleasure of witnessing you share, this one is probably the best. It will save me money in the future. I'm going to look for that T-Rex tape for both home & work use. I thank you for every dollar you spent and the unhappy response you got from your wife. You, sir, are a true American looking out for the rest of us. Thank you.
ive gotten the trex tape for years...used to be way cheaper at walmart...since inflation its gone up like everything else though...still a darn good tape
I feel like they were keeping the brakes pressed much more on the Gorilla tape during the truck test, like those tail lights were constantly lit up from it when it snapped. Also it's a shorter roll than the rest so comparing full rolls on each wasn't as even of a playing field. That being said, I'll still buy Gorilla tape because the applications I've used it for has never let me down. Gorilla products are great in general. But this also gave me a good idea of the strength of T-Rex tape so I can keep my options open. lol
This man is a scientific genius. Billy we need more of this kind of educational content on your channel good sir. You sir have the entire redneck community of north mmmmmerica in your debt thank you

Duck Tape and Duct Tape are NOT the same...Duct Tape is far better, Duck Tape is just the cheaply made substitute. My picture don't look it but I'm a redneck born and raised & I've used both Duct Tape and Duck Tape (they were out of Duct Tape) and the Duck Tape wouldn't stick worth shit. Never gonna buy that again, now it's Duct Tape or nothin.
@@ericdpeerik3928 hell, use enough Duct Tape and you can keep the pipes under the kitchen sink from leaking for a month before you're able to get the money for the shit to fix the sink. Lol
Seriously... do any of you realize that is NOT the brand named Duct Tape... it's the cheaply made off brand substitute that don't work worth a shit. You want a test...buy a roll of Duct Tape and a roll of Duck Tape and compare them. Duct Tape works, Duck Tape doesn't stick to anything and if it does it don't for very long. I made the mistake of buying Duck Tape instead when they were out of Duct Tape & been regretting it since. Duck Tape doesn't even stay stuck on your toilet seat for a week before it starts peeling off but wrap enough Duct Tape around the pipe under the kitchen sink and it will keep it from leaking for a month until you have the money to get the shit to fix the sink.
@RAPTOR-Brawlstars DON'T buy Duck Tape...buy DUCT TAPE (Not named after the animal but named for use on air ducts, that's what it was originally used for after all, the tape named after the animal is just a cheap knock off that doesn't work worth a shit).
Well I guess I’m gonna buy t-Rex tape now. However it wasn’t a fair comparison. You got to pull with the same length of tape rope, and the walls weren’t the same amount of wraps around the poles. Maybe you need to go buy more tape and do it again. LOL!!! Seriously though thanks for the video!!
I've never used T-Rex tape, but I do know that not only is Gorilla tape sticker and stronger than Duck tape, it also leaves a really nice, clean edge when you tear it. Does T-Rex tape do that?
I've never used Gorilla but I've used T-Rex tape alot and yes it does leave a clean edge when you tear it. I've never personally had any issues with T-Rex tape. Even using it for things it's not meant for, like connecting a kitchen pipe in a disaster as a quick fix so the restaurant kitchen didn't flood...

The truck would've been more fair had the trucks been equal distance apart. The duct tape had the greatest distance. Meaning less amounts of passes per roll. (in total it would have more, but I feel like the test was the cheaper/more roll vs the other) Would've been good to have one test, test stickiness strength. You know, the reason we get tape. Might have been hard to come up with. Maybe tape to top of a board and attach to truck, then drive. This really has me thinking that I should stock my store with t-rex instead of gorilla now. All thanks to Ginger Billy, my customers will have a superior tape option..... once I sell out stock. Also, the random praise for your wife, is great. Most social media will have random gripes or tricks against their partner. And it's old. Nope, you just talking her up for no reason than the fact you bought some tape.

Awesome test!! I personally like the gorilla tape over the T rex(sorry duct tape you've been replaced). It sticks better than the t-rex in my opinion. Used gorilla tape on the unloading auger spout on a combine. Corn put a hole in it, taped it up and it lasted the rest of the season. Good stuff!!
I was rear-ended a few years ago. My bumper was hanging on the right side and the light housing hung by the wires. I had to drive it for a couple months so I ducktaped the whole mess on. I had to redo it every freaking day. So I tried gorilla tape and oh boy did that work. Never had to reapply it, even in the rain.

Never heard of T-Rex tape until today, but I'm not a tape "aficionado" so there is that. I do agree about Gorilla tape stinking, boy does it ever. I carry a roll on my truck, but leave it in the box on the outside.
11:27 He used the whole roll of all of them, however the T-Rex and Gorilla Tape got the short end of the stick because they were only 10 and 12 yards long, whereas the Duct Tape was 30 yards long.
If it makes you feel any better Billy, I've seen reflective tape sold for $60 per foot! 10 yards of that stuff would've cost you $1800! I have no idea why any company ever bought the stuff at that price, but they certainly did.

@@CAgrandaddypurps69 If it's a new house, it'll never pass inspection. Federal HVAC code requires reflective/aluminum tape to be used for sealing and flashing. Duct tape is actually NOT meant for heating/cooling ducts, it never was. It's just a word play off of the original brand, Duck Tape. If you're a competitor making another brand of duct tape, you simply can't market it as "Duck Tape", it has to be duct tape.
@@sethstaley17 No, Duck Tape (the brand) is actually a brand of gaffer tape, the original being made by Nashua. It's the same as we now call race tape. Duct tape (the product) is a non-woven plastic tape and an entirely different product. It's the stuff Mythbusters have used in various episodes and is/was most certainly used for sealing ducts. The reflective tape the OP is referring to is different again, it's the stuff used on mine vehicles for safety markers, not construction work.

Gorilla Tape is stickier than the others. Pretty sure it's called Gorilla Tape because it's made by the same people who make Gorilla Glue. It's easier to tear than some others, but it's better at sticking stuff to things that don't really give a hold to other tapes. Like, I tape up tarps to cinderblocks with Gorilla Tape, and it stays up. But with Duck Tape, or any other kind of duct tape I've tried, as soon as we get a somewhat hot day everything falls.

@@jeremyanderson2536 I'll 2nd the zip system stuff. It's some damn sticky shit. Especially if you use the roller for the zip system it's almost impossible to get it off of whatever it's stuck to.
Ginger Billy spent $200 on tape 🤣 PRICELESS
$200.00 worth of tape from the Dollar Store
💪🏻
You get me through some dark times Billy. God bless you and the. Lovely Misses. Salute👊🏼
The realization at 1:26 of "wtf am I doing with my life and how did I get in a situation where I'm buying $200 worth of duct tape and filming myself stick it on to shit" is one of the best moments in cinema history.
Every time he say’s “Goriller tape” I DIE LAUGHING 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Yea and Dollar Gentral
I'm so glad you did this because I used to buy the Duct Tape Brand until Gorilla Glue Tape Came onto the market. I've used Gorilla Glue for ALL of my Needs. The Gorilla Glue Hot Glue Sticks for a Glue Gun are the best on the market because I've Tried them All. So I Figured ALL Gorilla Glue Products Would Be Better, Including The Gorilla Glue Duct Tape!!! So I have been wasting my money for Nothing!!! Thank you so much for doing this video so that I found this out! You saved me a lot of Money!!! I'm Going Back To The Duct Tape Brand Duct Tape!!! I Truly Do Appreciate This Tip!!!!
Ginger Billy never fails to get several heavy laughs and leg slaps out of me every video, never fails. Growing up in Oklahoma my whole life, I grew up with characters like this.
Dang it, Ginger Billy, you sure are uppity, buying a dollar store out of its duct tape stock and flauntin' it in front of the rest of us.😆
😂😂 that’s Ginger privilege right there!
Lmfao yup but he places gorilla tape last?
Nope duck tape last place.
That was rather inconsiderate
Sure wish I could walk in DG and say, "Gimme the tape!" Last time, they laughed me out of the store. I should have said, "Got any goriller?" I bet they'd have jumped all over the opportunity to get me the tape!
Yea. Billy created one of those "supply-chain" whatchmagiggies
@7:26 Seriously? The "Macarena"? Freaking lost it!!!🤣
I've always wondered which tape was the best, i just used duck tape because it was what I knew. Thank you for the reviews 😁 awesome video Billy, you're always good for a giggle ❤
I can't stand Gorilla Tape no where near as good as it shows. I like the DUCT TAPE MAX.
Me too girl. Gotta love this goofy man.
Anytime you want to see a product tested go check out "Project Farm" His videos are serious testing for real!
Thank you.
I was surprised to find out how strong tape really is. Great practical video!
ive gotten the trex tape for years...used to be way cheaper at walmart...since inflation its gone up like everything else though...still a darn good tape
But this also gave me a good idea of the strength of T-Rex tape so I can keep my options open. lol
Same, i always use gorilla tape
This man is a scientific genius. Billy we need more of this kind of educational content on your channel good sir. You sir have the entire redneck community of north mmmmmerica in your debt thank you
Amen!
Tinsel Strength is a unit of measurement of the stretching strength.
1 Tinsel is the strength of a single piece of Christmas tree tinsel.
Then again, I might have just made that up ;^)
0:52 first time viewer here, me and my son. You’re awesome man! We lover your energy!
I would just love to have Billy as my neighbor. Imagine if you will, drinking your morning coffee and looking out the window. Then saying to your wife, "What the hell is Billy up to today"..
What an excellent and entertaining way to review/compare products! This man sure knows his gift of talent!
So weird that I actually finished my roll of duck tape today. This is very educational and entertaining 😅 T-Rex call this man to be your spokesperson!
True word. The product is called duct tape, duck tape is the poor man's substitute made from duck spit and feathers
@@ericdpeerik3928 Oh! I thought it was actually for taping ducks. Bc that is what I was using it for 🦆
@@ericdpeerik3928 thank you, see us rednecks know our brands...just like Carhartt & John Deere.
@@ericdpeerik3928 hell, use enough Duct Tape and you can keep the pipes under the kitchen sink from leaking for a month before you're able to get the money for the shit to fix the sink. Lol
Thanks bro! Had a rough night shift and you just made my day better. Nothing like a good laugh to turn a frown into a smile.
I always used Duck tape but now with your reviews I know which tape to use😊
Keep up the great content Billy❤️
I will utilize these extremely scientific test results next time I consider more tape at the wal mart
We made the duck tape rope longer bc it was 30 yards…if ya think about it the shorter ropes of goriller and T. rex tape should’ve done better
Agree! You beat me to it
Why did I watch this all the way through? I’ll wish for this time back some day lmao!
Even using it for things it's not meant for, like connecting a kitchen pipe in a disaster as a quick fix so the restaurant kitchen didn't flood...
it probably don't stink like a Go-Riller 🤣
Well it also costs twice as much.
It leaves a pretty clean line 👍 i like it better than gorilla cuz like Billy said, gorilla tape smells funny 🤣
T-rex tape is a little thicker and stickier and also leaves a clean edge.
This video shows a great presentation of which tape is the strongest. I would buy whichever tape he shows to the best choice. Ginger Billy and his family are a blessing to us all and highly loved.
Killer video man that was a lot of good laughs, yah you’re definitely lucky your wife puts up with all the shenanigans. You definitely got a keeper there, you should make her a tape ring lol.
Lol that be something fun to watch. A ring or something fun
This is great consumer information. Thank ya Billy.
Hi Ginger Billy, I absolutely love you !! Keep bringing laughter and fun to your channel, I so appreciate it and it is needed at this time. Love from TN
I find myself laughing my ass off with this dude. I don't know how the hell I even stumbled onto this
Not only entertaining, educational as well! Thanks Ginger Billy!!
Thanks for the hands down best review of tape!!!!!
This is a dude who deserves his success, you absolutely rule dude…I’m probably the same age and can’t stand most the horse shit on RUclips, but me and my boys laugh our asses off at your stuff, God bless you and your family
🥰 Your wife, she's awesome! I laughed my a$$ off when you two did the wheel of pain! 🤣🤣🤣
Ikr when they pulled those nose hairs thing out and she said shes bleeding I was like oh no. I'd never do that. Shes a trooper.
You were absolutely right about your dear wife being faithful because lord knows if my husband comes home with $200 in dang tape we are going to have some REAL problems! I can just picture Leah waking up every morning saying “What is he going to get into today!?!” 🤦🏻♀️
The truck would've been more fair had the trucks been equal distance apart. The duct tape had the greatest distance. Meaning less amounts of passes per roll. (in total it would have more, but I feel like the test was the cheaper/more roll vs the other)
Would've been good to have one test, test stickiness strength.
Nope, you just talking her up for no reason than the fact you bought some tape.
we don’t have a certificate or nuttin’
had me dying🤣🤣🤣
6:18 professionals? Maybe, it depends on the context. Adhesive professionals? No. Redneck professionals? Absolutely, and that’s why I love this channel
We are celebrating our 16yr wedding anniversary today! My husband and I both love watching your RUclips videos together so we just enjoyed watching this to help us celebrate 🍾
As a guy who specializes in indoor agriculture, I've found the Nashua foil tape to be fantastic as well.
Um abraço de um redneck brasileiro.. Deus abençoe todos os rednecks desse mundo
Thats cause thats how hvac companies rip new home owners building a house. Its listed it was used wasnt used. Think about it. It was duct tape than a thin layer of the silver tape. Its all business or do it yourself lol
I bought reflective tape 😩
@@marvindebot3264 Give every article ever wrote about about duct tape a look. It's just a word play.
This whole vid was hilarious, however watching you bounce off the tape on your carport had me rolling!!! Lol
That's just too much dang money for some freaking tape! 😱. You're awesome Billy 🤣🤘🏻
I think about ya poor wife...through the watching of all ya videos...what a trooper she is!! My love to her!!!
Personally, I would have tried a weather test and radiator test. Duck tape doesn’t do so good outdoors. Also sometimes you just need a tape that can hold a hose on an engine. At least those would have been awesome to know for sure. Thanks for the video. It was great
Tape isn't make to fix water leaks
@@AllenBrumbelow Tell that to the truck out in the middle of nowhere. Your not always going to be near auto parts store or have a spare. Sometimes you just need something to hold together until you can get the part you need. It was never meant to be permanent
Did the cashier think you were going to hold someone hostage with all that tape? 😂
Billy be like: ‘I promise this ain’t a hostage siteration! I need this for a RUclips vider!’
Or, maybe the cashier thought he was a serial killer. Lol.
I knew the T-Rex tape would win. That stuff is badass!👍😎
Sooo, T-Rex tape is actually manufactured by duck tape to compete with gorilla tape as the heavy duty alternative to duct tape.
Billy, once again we at T-Rex thank you!! God bless!
I can't believe I watched the whole thing, but I had to know! Awesome job bro! Thats the practical science that needs to be done! I saved $200 too! Tell your wife the money you saved all of us is priceless!!😎
This was awesome. Billy, you need to do more redneck product testing.
Great video Bud, very entertaining, and I’m going to get some T-Rex Tape next time I need tape. They should play that video as their own commercial to make more sales. 👍
Dang, I was just at the Dolla Stoa yesterday -- I should've looked for the duck tape(s). All my ducks 🦆 have flown the coup! 🤣. Dismal performance for the Gorilla brand! Most $$$, least amount on a roll...T-Rex beats Gorilla -- King Kong movies lie!!! 🤣 Love the video.
besides the gut busting laughter, i work at an autoparts store and we sell all three of those tapes. I'd never heard of T-Rex before but it'll be my top recommendation from now on.
The video I didn't know I needed. Educational and entertaining
That is the most entertaining product review I've ever seen. Well done sir.
