Thank you Chris once again! I was a bit intimidated from trying this modification but this video gave me the confidence to save up and get this triple clamp and complete the project myself👍
As much as I would love to have a beer in Baja with you Chris, it was as simple as you stated! Thanks for another kick ass product and how to video. Hopefully see you at the KTM rally in SD this year.
Thank you! We really wanted to show people that they are completely capable of this install on their own in this video. We know a lot of people get intimidated by some installations that may look complicated, but that's why we make these videos so we can hopefully take some of the fear out of it so they can enjoy products they want to get. Thanks for commenting!
Excellent video. Wish all manufacturers of performance parts would do install videos as good as RP's videos. Worth every penny I spent on the triple clamps.
Just got back from a near 3,500 mile round trip ride from Santa Clarita-Los Angeles to Cabo San Lucas and back on my 6 month old KTM 890 Adventure S. We rode 400-500 miles of the trip on dirt and much of it on parts of the 1,000 course. I have a lot of Rottweiler components on the bike and all of them performed flawlessly, especially the shifter rod kit and kick stand switch relocation bracket. After many miles of washboard roads and endless rocky sections, both of us riding near identical bikes, felt play in the headstocks and had to adjust them in Cabo before returning. My bike only has a little over 5,000 miles on it and if the stock bearings were loose at 3,300 miles, then I think that my next purchase is going to be the tapered bearing version of the Rottweiler triple clamp with the Scotts damper provision.
That's exactly why we included the tapered bearings. The stock bearings are junk (in our opinion) and tapered has long been the bearing of choice in serious motorcycles. We think you will love the triple clamps. We are quite proud of the final product and they stand up to the Rottweiler Performance requirement for quality, fit and finish.
That's why we did it. We wanted to remove the fear that some people have that leads them to believe they could otherwise not do it. We just did one in about 45 minutes flat with two people. Not hard.
The way you drill against your hand is threatening 🤣 but gives the vibe that you know what you’re doing so it kinda feels allright, but it makes you think yep, I’m not doing that
LOL, they don't really go through so no real danger, but I did drill out the nerve in my left index finger years ago. Lost all feeling in the tip of that finger and picking my nose now is a challenge.
Thank you! In short, our Rottweiler Performance Triple clamps are for those that are looking for more precise handling, especially under hard braking, those that want to drop a small amount of weight but want parts with a stronger construction, as well as minimize fork tube deformation which can result in harsh fork performance. These clamps are an all around improvement on every level, including stronger, adjustable and replaceable steering stops, more bar positions, multiple damper options, high/low fender options, and titanium pinch bolt upgrades.
Hi, Enjoy your channel. Question, what is your recommendation to rid the wind buffeting on the 2022 KTM 890 Adventure R. I am 6'3. I have tried numerous remedies and nothing seems to work. I look forward to you professional advise.
A lot of customers, and when we say a lot we mean a lot, rave about our Quick Flip mirror kits from the standpoint of wind buffeting. What most people don't know is that it's not really the windshield that is causing the issue, it's the mirrors! They cause eddys in the wind that can mess with your helmet. If you want to try before you buy, just unscrew your mirrors and see if that fixes the problem of buffeting. If it does, check these out for a very popular mirror kit. www.rottweilerperformance.com/quick-flip-mirror-mount-kit-arrow-kit/

I don't even own this bike but love how informative the videos are. I wish all how to motorcycle videos were this good.
Time to open a Rottweiler Performance shop in Australia :)
Really loving all these garage videos on the 790/890 Adventure bikes! Top notch!
Thank you Chris once again! I was a bit intimidated from trying this modification but this video gave me the confidence to save up and get this triple clamp and complete the project myself👍
I don't even have a motorcycle that would use this but I watch the videos anyway. I always learn something and the parts are a work of art.
That is awesome! Thanks for watching Case.

Appreciate the quality of your assembly videos; good pace, clearly spoken, well defined. Nicely done. Thanks for all you all do. 🏁🤙

Rottweiler is killing it...!
What stand is that?
Thank you, Chris.👍👍
Nice product kit offerings Chris and thanks again for the great install video!
Another great tutorial from RP. I’ve done some
mods on my 990 myself thanks to them. Keep it up RP 👍
Thanks, will do!
I feel like I could totally do this with the help of this video. Of course it would take make all day.. but still. :)

Very good and detailed video that one can learn a lot from. But why is that work needed? A bit of background will be nice before we dive in…

Great looking triples do Rottweiler do a similar kit for the 690 that you can fit the Scott’s without raising the bars from the stock height?
Not yet, but may at some point. Our machines are too busy with these right now but we have another Doosan mill coming to help!

One question for RP: where did you get that rolling lift you used on the video to lift under the skid plate? Looks very handy.
It's a K&L product. We can get them but probably not free shipping as they are heavy. You can message our team if you want a set.
@@RottweilerPerformance Thanks so much!
So upgraded the 790/890 with a standard 950 Adv bearing?
No, these are Timkin bearings we used for this application. They are not a KTM part.
Hi, excellent video. I assume you can also use tapered bearings in the original tripleclamp as well? Thank you so much in advance from Norway🙂
You certainly can and here is a link to the kit! shop.rottweilerperformance.com/tapered-steering-head-bearings/
Are the optional lower needle bearing pre installed on the bottom clamp?
They can be if you call soon. We are assembling 85 sets now and can do it for the adjusted cost no problem!
What’s the brand and model of the magic wand ?
I mean the torque wrench ;-)
Snap On!
Great Video, will be buying a set for sure. Looks like you have lost some weight there as well Chris. Off the beers hey...😂😂
Never! Just sucked it in the whole time.
Amazing, like always
Thank you Diego!!
What does a triple clamp do? I have a 890 but am not aware of the advantages of installing one….thanks
