There's a detail of Grima Wormtongue that you have probably missed. When Saruman shows him his 10.000 Uruk-hai army, a tear can be seen droping from Grima's eye. That shows us that, in the deepest of his heart, he does not want the people of Rohan to die so horribly, that in fact he has a heart. I think that was a great job from PJ and everyone realted with the writing of LOTR's script

Except Lurtz. Really, the don’t include boromir’s killer on this list.
While I think Frodo was an important character in the movies, I always loved Sam more for his loyalty and devotion to his friend. This is not a criticism or anything, I actually find this to be a strength in the film, since I like seeing these in stories, where the secondary character is the true hero of the story and are willing to risk they're life for the protagonist. What I love about Sam the most is how he is loyal to Frodo, but he is not blindly loyal. He is always willing to confront Frodo when he notices the effects of the ring, yet always out of concern for a friend.
Wise of you to put my boy Samwise as the most good. It only makes sense that the best character gets #1 spot.

In the book trilogy, Samwise had a bit of trouble ignoring the ring as he bore it, but he got over it.

Rivendale was a personal highlight. I was waiting for Jughead to pop out.
He also completely left out the most important Uruk Hi, Lurtz ( the Uruk that Kills boromir). He never even mentioned his name.
You know, I wouldn’t rank Gríma Wormtongue as a bad/evil, just as one of the worst of the Grey Area.
- He was obviously bullied and abused by the inhabitants of Rohan, possibly the reason to why he joined Saruman.
- When it came to his feelings towards Eowen, he never forced himself on her or sexually assaulted her, just kept trying to feel the same way
-And of course he did sort of redeem himself by killing Saruman at the start of The Return Of The King
Nah, but Wormtongue killed Saruman due to vengeance. I think he deserves to be first on the bad tier where he is, because he after all did commit plenty of harm. But not close to being the worst of the worst.
I have to admit, Gollum (the evil personality) and Smeagol (the well "good" personality) should be seperate,
Gollum should stay where he is,
However Smeagol should be the 2nd one in the grey area
edit: “ngl I take it back I think Sméagol should be even lower since he gained the trust and lied and backstabbed which Gollum was always rude”
They're literally the same person. "Smeagol" is just as bad as "Gollum". SInce Smeagol himself admits to Frodo, "Smeagol lied".

Frodo should have been in 1st place. The ring made Frodo look bad, but going from The Shire to Mordor was not even a little bit easy. The fact that he got corrupted only at the end of the journey is undeniable proof of his pure heart.

I remember hearing a long time ago aemir killed children when he said he didn't leave survivors, but fighting the orcs that claim doesn't make sense. Orcs are created grown. Treebeard was pretty neutral though, he cared about trees and that was it.
Aragorn asked told him first “ they HAD two hobbits WITH them, only children in their eyes.” Then he replied by saying after the massacre, none were left alive. He now understands there were two Hobbits but killed everyone unknowingly.
The reason why Frodo tells Sam to spare Gollum is because Gandalf said it was good that bilbo spared Gollum as he still might have an important role to play in middle earth which of course turned out to be the case. (But that might have been cut out of the movie so this might not be relevant). Besides it is strongly implied that a lack of pity and killing Gollum could have sped the corrupting power the ring had on both Frodo and bilbo.

Samwise is the true hero, no doubt. Samwise was modeled after the batmen and other soldiers that served with Tolkien in WWI. Hence his very humble origin but the vitality of all his actions.

Just want to let you know you mispronounced a lot of names in this one and I’m not mad about this just letting you know
Yeah, I tried my best and I did look them up, but I think some sources were off. I read the books back when i was pretty young, and I probably adapted my own pronunciations from that too which are off. It's been a while since I've watched the trilogy, that said, our writer Breck did an amazing job with the script. 😀
WickedBinge there was also a key character in fellowship of the ring, that you guys completely left out, that character being Lurtz, the First Born and leader of the Uruk Hai, and the same one who kills boromir. Aside from that it was a good video.
