Before the dark times, before the Empire... the Galactic Republic flourished, and the Jedi protected the innocent and kept the Light Side of the Force. The Star Wars Prequel Trilogy gave us insight into the state of the galaxy before the Empire’s reign and showed us how the Republic came crashing down. Another trilogy means another cast of characters, and it’s our job to examine their morality to place them on the spectrum of good, evil, or somewhere in between. To clarify, although some characters’ appearances overlap into the other movies, we are only considering their actions from Episodes I, II, and III. #StarWars

Mace windu has a purple light saber: he has felt the dark side of the force and light side
It's moreso a symbol of his ability to channel the Dark Side through himself as a conduit and not be consumed by it, though his methods may seem harsh, Mace has confronted the Darkness within himself and has complete control over it, allowing him to do "darker" deeds and resist the seductive lure of the Dark side, unlike other Jedi who refuse to cross certain boundaries out of paranoia that flirting with the Dark Side will consume them.

To be honest, I think Anakin Skywalker and Darth Vader should be two separate characters on this list. Even Obi-Wan seems to think that Anakin and Vader are two different entities, even though they share the same body. He did explain to Luke that Vader killed his father, from this certain point of view. If we take into consideration, Anakin is Anakin Skywalker before the death of Mace Windu, and should be in the good side. While Anakin is Darth Vader after the death of Mace Windu, and should be in the evil side.
But they’re not different people, that’s just stupid. Anakin consciously decided to become Darth Vader and kill the younglings, as well as many others

When Maul was freed from him, he still chooses to do evil. He slaughtered children, destroyed a government, killed Satine, plunged madenlore into Civil War, and more.
Grievous shows no hint of regret for all the people he killed.
Grievous so obviously enjoys the suffering of others, manipulated or not he was still unforgiving and evil.

Though if he's lucky, Charlie might sneak into the grey for being widely mislead on a lot of things, and many instances of reluctance for the group's most nefarious antics, even trying to stop it once or twice. But even outside the main cast, it's hard-pressed to find many fully pure individuals in the supporting cast.

Cruella (2021): Good To Evil
The Good
1. John - He saved Cruella from being killed by Baroness multiple times
2. Catherine Miller - She took care of Cruella to avoid getting her killed by Baroness
3. Anita Darling - She was always a good friend of Cruella unlike the most of kids
Artie - He saved Horace and Wink from George who tried to kill them
Grey Area
Principal - He held a grudge against Cruella but he only did that because he thought that she is a bad kid
Buddy and Wink - They are both very nice dogs who truly care for their masters and saved them from trouble many times and could easily qualify as Good if they weren't assisting their masters in stealing stuff
Jasper and Horace - They let Cruella join their gang and saved her from worries but still were stealing stuff from others
Cruella - She is the most complicated character in the movie as she was a sweet but disobedient kid at first who turned into a full-fledged villain later and even was rude to her companions in one period but still loves them and saved them from prison
Dalmatians - They were Baroness' attack dogs who killed Cruella's adoptive mother Catherine and possibly many other people before her but they were only listening their master and became good quickly after they were removed from Baroness' care
Bad To Evil
Gerald - He was a huge jerk to Cruella and disapproved and mistreat her
3. School Bullies - They were doing much terrible things to Cruella from the beginning
2. George and Jeffery - They tried to kill Cruella and to incriminate Jasper and Horace for burning the building and didn't care when Cruella told them to spare her and that Baroness is the terrible boss
1. Baroness Von Hellman - She is easily the most evil character in the movie and she tried to kill her daughter multiple times and killed multiple people in the past including Cruella's adoptive mother

Watto is essentially the Oskar Kokoschka (Hey Arnold) of the Star Wars universe.
One interesting thing to note is Mace understood the political ramifications of executing Palpatine, but he also knew if he was arrested he would turn the entire situation against the Jedi and it would be even worse for the Jedi. It was a lose lose situation having the Supreme Chancellor as the Dark Lord of the Sith, as Mace said "He has control of the senate and the courts, he's too dangerous to be kept alive!"
Being a Sith was a matter of Religion, a personal choice of Palpatine's and not illegal, the Jedi would be wrongfully arresting him based solely on their religious views of his religion, which would not look good in the eyes of the rest of the Galaxy.

Yeah. Maul is an excellent example of evil by nurture. He was never given the choice. And Windu's position in the Grey area makes sense. Especially when you consider he developed Vapaad, the lightsaber style that actually taps into the dark side. And that every other practitioner turned to it.
@James Lucas I agree. The better thing to do would have been to put Anakin out of his misery. Trying to rescue him, and turn him from the dark side would have been unlikely given the aftermath of Order 66, as well as the extent of his injuries, unless Obi Wan pulled him away from the lava in time.
Well that doesn’t make any sense saying grievous was bad. He was brainwashed into thinking that the sith was good and the Jedi were bad. He originally hated the sith before he was a cyborg. Also, the separatists wanted to gain there own independence because they were controlled by the senate.

Palpatine is literally the heart and soul of the entire Star Wars franchise if he didn’t exist the prequels, original trilogy, and the sequels never would have happened every thing in the franchise whether it be in the comics, books, movies, or tv shows he is directly responsible for everything
