Usually our congregation will pay for us to plant a tree in Israel, but this year we've decided to donate to the reforestation in Australia. 😊

Is there a site to donate to this project? We are in the frozen north here and that would be a wonderful way to celebrate.

Tu B'Shevat is my favorite holiday! As an old tree hugger it is the one holiday I can share with all my tree hugging atheist friends! This year they are all getting hand painted bookmarks I've made with trees on them.

Thank you for your video, as a natural health consultant, I'd like to interject some important insight if I may....Meat is critical for the brain. I only tell people if they are going to fast it, only to do this for about 40 days max. Without eating meat we do not have the creatine to help with HGF, or human growth factor. God gave us all things by thanksgiving that we do not deny His blessing. Also, we need to be very careful not to get too involved in the saving the environment ideologies, as ultimately the new "green laws" lead to genocide at worst, but also many causes are very false once you do your research. We must research what we are giving money to and know what their ultimate causes are. G-d bless you! I enjoy your videos, thank you for taking the time.

The extreme green movement has so little to do with the Earth. It’s more about wealth building for a few. Follow the figureheads in this. There is a strong connection between them & NGOs they control. G*d said his creation is good and to multiply. The conglomerates are the ones wasting our planet. It’s not the man on the street with a straw. G*d bless & peace to all.

I guess maybe you and your family do TuB'shevat in winter because I don't know it's the right time to plant trees in America because springtime is easy with the ground thaw and melt from the ice and snow maybe.

I am so happy to hear that Jewish congregations for this holiday are contributing to the reforestation of Australia and that Christian parishes when they have Ember Days (religious observances several times a year in thanksgiving for the nature of which humans are a part) are doing this as well. The Jewish stewardship ethic is essential to keeping the home we were given by our God healthy and whole. This falls at a good time to check in on our 2020 resolutions and see if we are having trouble with them or are finding them sources of health.
