The more I learn about judaism the more beautiful, meaningful, magical, fantastical and ideal it gets! Thank you for helping me in this journey of conversion!
I'm not even Jewish but I just love to watch your videos because of your happy and fun personality! Keep up the great work, Marion! I love your channel so much!
Marion! I LOVED this! Props to you for singing and filming your own havdalah. We have rarely done it ourselves but I actually lured my children to sleep over at their grandparents last weekend by packing our spices and braided candle in their overnight bag, so they had something special to look forward to (the baby is still resistant to sleeping away from her crib here at home). Your comment about celebrating havdallah to mark special milestones was such a nice suggestion, and you’re right. The box subscription seems like a really marvelous supplement to PJ Library’s book mailings. So great!! 💕😘
@@MyJewishMommyLife yes, there are so many funny things kids say who have been to Jewish preschool. Same sorts of things go on in our house. p.s. Shavua Tov is such a relaxing song and you reminded me -- while we rarely perform the havdalah ceremony, I do often sing the girls to sleep with that song as a makeshift lullaby. Love it so much!
Thank you so much for creating this channel! It means the world to a jewish mom living in the midwest with very few other Jewish moms around, I can relate to someone now! Also love the recipes :)
Aww that is so lovely to hear! I am so happy to know you are liking the videos and that it helps living in a place without very many Jewish families around!
thank you I love being Jewish so I do havdalah every week I am Orthodox Jewish so I feel so connected to hashem when I do havdalah my family are Orthodox Jewish and we observe it very tradritionaly ! : D
Hi Marion, long time viewer, first time commenter here! As someone who is considering conversion I must say that I enjoy your videos on Judaism so much and find them to be very helpful! Congrats on reaching 4 thousand subs btw:) Keep up the good work, I absolutely adore your channel!
Aww yay so glad you commented so I could "meet" you in a way. I love to hear that you are enjoying my videos and yes I am so excited to have made it to 4k!
When I worked with a Jewish family, I downloaded a Jewish calendar add on on my iPad calendar. All the sudden I had alerts for Havdalah on my calendar every week so I had to ask the mom what that was because we’d never done it (Iworked weekends). In part of her explanation, she told em about celebrating it at her Bubbie’s house as a kid. Bubbie told her to hold the candle as high as she wanted her husband to be tall and she wanted a tall husband so she would stand on a chair then hold it up. Her husband is 6’4” 😂
Marion we use the same blue book for our Havdalah prayers! It’s one of my favorite time of the week. It’s short and yet so fulfilling. At this point Benny loves the Havdalah candle ( ours is smaller). Separation it’s definitely important in our lives, it helps me get the mindset that a new week have started. We also sing Eliyahu Hanavi at the end. Thank you for sharing your own Havdalah ceremony.
Hello I don't have children, but if I did ,I'd be on your channel daily. You are so sweet ,sincere and have such a passion for Jewish life. You are changing the world. I really enjoy your channel. Thank you for making Havdalah so meaning and soulful for me .
Now i wish i was raised Jewish. I might have some Jewish blood, and at least by my family name, i should be one... but I was raised an Orthodox Christian. then i got absorbed into the occult because i had no good spiritual guidance :( now, i'm trying to find my path back to G-d, and it's difficult. I feel I can't really let Jesus out of my life, but I think Judaism is the right/correct religion/lifestyle. both for me and everyone else in the world. whoever reads this, please pray that i find the path back to G-d and to serving him. May god have mercy on us all.
Have you ever tried Messianic Judaism? This is where I fit. You get to see how important Jesus is and that He is the Messiah while not forgetting his Jewish roots. It's truly amazing to see the deep connection between Judaism and Christianity.
