Akain,apparently the reason that hannah ran into the forest(according to a iceberg i saw on yt) is that if u go into hannahs room as sam,u can see a love compatibility test that has circled the lowest score,meaning that mike and han wouldnt go exactly well so she would do more daring stuff like getting the tattoo. So she basically after the prank,she renembers the test and she runs away to the woods hoping that mike would follow her. But we all know what happened. :)
I feel like not enough people point out that Hannah was a terrible friend, too. She was trying to move in on her friends man and she KNEW Emily and Mike were dating. Everyone in the group did. It’s funny to me how everyone glosses over it. She didn’t deserve to die for it, obviously. Not that anyone intended to get her indirectly killed.

What I don't get is that in the original version on the PS4 Sam was going around the house trying to look for Hannah to warn her. But because the remake wanted to let us see more of the sisters they had to cut out Sam doing that because if she had all that extra time to search instead of Hannah walking into a trap almost instantly, she most certainly would have been able to warn her bestie. In the original with how fast it all happened, it could at least be reasoned Sam went for Hannah's room, but Hannah was already heading to the prank room. It's a damn shame

Sam is probably my favourite character and has some really good scenes. Her being in a bathtub for a quarter of the game was only done to make sure everyone else had time to be on her level

She essentially has the same amount of times you can die as Matt and Jess. The most plot armor goes to Mike with his several explosions he survives😂

Sam is just good at running and she does rock climbing. She even makes a comment about it in the mines and has rock climbing clothes in her bag. Idk how that makes her the most skilled. I get that you don’t like her and respect it but she isn’t a Mary Sue. They establish her semi crush situation with Josh in the boiler room (where you can make the romance bar go up),meaning she would want to find Josh with Mike. She is Hannah’s best friend and supposed to be who we follow in the rumored next game so it checks out for me. But yes to plot armor, she was taking a really long bath

Emily is written to be a bitch, but a self-confident one with the ability to back that talk up. I think her chase is probably the best in the game alongside Mike's in the jail, just because she makes so many moves that you're like "I'm gonna hit this QTE and idk why" and then she just does some smart shit that I wouldn't have thought of. Very resourceful, causes a lot of the best interpersonal problems (the Ashley scene for example, Ashley lowkey pushes people into so many bad situations) and she encapsulates what Until Dawn is so well: empathizing with shitty people going through stuff, but not sympathizing with the emotions they feel during it.
Same I like her. Ngl she is a bad girlfriend. but she's smart, quick, and had some of the worse situations of the game and still managed to take cool headed decisions.
The only thing stopping me from liking her completely is her bitchy, whinny attitude towards Matt and being not loyal to him. So, 2 things.. I guess. And maybe the way she talks too 😂.

Fun fact, Emily didn't actually cheat on matt the devs of until dawn confirmed it a long time ago. There's also unused extended version of the Matt and Emily falling tower scene which gives more context to that.

Since most of it is built around the player’s fears and insecurities until we find out it’s Josh. Nah I knew she was being Shady but the Hug did not seem like she was cheating. What I actually wish for was us playing as her instead of Matt first so the player could make the active choice of having her lie about wanting to talk to Mike.
1:01:49 this is spoilers but the point of giving the flare gun to matt is that if you try to save emily instead of jumping the tower drops anyways forcing matt to jump, but since he spent so long trying to save emily a wendigo finds him and drags him off to a hook and impaling his head. If you give matt the flare gun however, he is able to shoot the wendigo and save himself. If you didnt, then he dies

Just wanted to add a note to explain 9:15 there’s actually a magazine you find later on of Hannah’s where she did one of those personality tests things and it said something along the lines of uh oh maybe you and your lover aren’t too compatible so do something crazy and rebellious for their attention like running away from home or getting a tattoo. She got a tattoo and then when she got humiliated she ran away. I think it’s almost a foreshadow when Mike says “should I go after her” Hannah probably was hopeful in that moment that Mike would have chased after her and be like oh no I actually love you blah blah. And honestly if Mike did run out in that moment there could have been a chance of saving them. It’s crazy how having him stay back really did seal the fate. Even mikes intuition knew to go out there.

So idk if this is true in the remake cuz I never played it but I played the original. When Sam is running from the psycho and you have the final choice to run or hide, you can see the psycho at the end of the hall briefly. So it hints that it's a bad idea. As for giving the flare to Matt, if Matt disagrees with going to the tower and then tou give Matt the flare gun, Matt will be able to use it to save his life from the windigo if it attacks him (this happens if you fall into the bottom of the mines trying to save Enily.) If you never see the flare gun again, that means you didn't try to save her, which I don't blame you lol.
Y'all I hate to say it. But most of the time Emily is right. If there is a serial killer, why is grouping up the best decision? Especially in the very same place where said killer has set up traps. Like how many clues you need to know when to get tf out of there.

It'd be different if they were in an enclosed space but this is an entire lodge, forest, and asylum. So yeah it would be hard for one person to find multiple groups. That doesn't mean they can't regroup but why wait to call for help just so we can group up? Just call for help.

My headcannon is that the devs tried to make Emily as dislikable as possible, so when she's hanging and you can try to either help her or jump to safety. The option that seems like leaving her to die, is the option that's safest for both her and Mat. I literally like everyone else, but her. Honestly when I played through the game, if I saved everyone but her I'd consider it a perfect run. Even if you do save her she spends the interrogation bitching about what other people did to her. Not the monsters, not the falling tower, not the dude in the gasmask...nope...Bitching about the drama and about Mike pointing a shotgun at her, "AT ME!?" she says.
Bitch lucky pulling that trigger wasn't a quick time event.
Fun fact, Emily didn't actually cheat on matt the devs of until dawn confirmed it a long time ago. There's also unused extended version of the Matt and Emily falling tower scene which gives more context to that.

Since most of it is built around the player’s fears and insecurities until we find out it’s Josh. Nah I knew she was being Shady but the Hug did not seem like she was cheating. What I actually wish for was us playing as her instead of Matt first so the player could make the active choice of having her lie about wanting to talk to Mike.

the point of giving the flare gun to matt is that if you try to save emily instead of jumping the tower drops anyways forcing matt to jump, but since he spent so long trying to save emily a wendigo finds him and drags him off to a hook and impaling his head. If you give matt the flare gun however, he is able to shoot the wendigo and save himself. If you didnt, then he dies

Just wanted to add a note to explain 9:15 there’s actually a magazine you find later on of Hannah’s where she did one of those personality tests things and it said something along the lines of uh oh maybe you and your lover aren’t too compatible so do something crazy and rebellious for their attention like running away from home or getting a tattoo. She got a tattoo and then when she got humiliated she ran away. I think it’s almost a foreshadow when Mike says “should I go after her” Hannah probably was hopeful in that moment that Mike would have chased after her and be like oh no I actually love you blah blah. And honestly if Mike did run out in that moment there could have been a chance of saving them. It’s crazy how having him stay back really did seal the fate. Even mikes intuition knew to go out there.
To answer your question, Sam drew that picture of Hannah that her note was written on. You see Sam (I can't remember if it's in game or the trailer) sitting on a chair drawing portraits of all her friends that Dr Hill uses for certain questions in the game.

The Flare actually does reappear for 1:01:41 If you choose to save Emily twice you’ll fall down into the mines where a certain thing grabs you (if yk yk) And Matt will pull out the flare and shoot it to save his life. You had the conditions (disagree with Emily on the radio tower and give the flare to Matt). 😂 But let’s be real here Emily is too insufferable

So idk if this is true in the remake cuz I never played it but I played the original.
When Sam is running from the psycho and you have the final choice to run or hide, you can see the psycho at the end of the hall briefly. So it hints that it's a bad idea.
As for giving the flare to Matt, if Matt disagrees with going to the tower and then tou give Matt the flare gun, Matt will be able to use it to save his life from the windigo if it attacks him (this happens if you fall into the bottom of the mines trying to save Enily.) If you never see the flare gun again, that means you didn't try to save her, which I don't blame you lol.
Y'all I hate to say it. But most of the time Emily is right. If there is a serial killer, why is grouping up the best decision? Especially in the very same place where said killer has set up traps. Like how many clues you need to know when to get tf out of there.

It'd be different if they were in an enclosed space but this is an entire lodge, forest, and asylum. So yeah it would be hard for one person to find multiple groups. That doesn't mean they can't regroup but why wait to call for help just so we can group up? Just call for help.
