She obviously meant "Being the greatest figure in the fashion world, I have five minutes to talk to you, the greatest actress of our time." Anna was not being a very polite guest. That meeting was way too brief for someone of Meryl Streep's stature.
I think she said:"i think that a good time to end, then merryl and i can talk about more important things." I think what she meant was for the video to end, not their conversation
@@James-ek3il Same. I can see why someone like Anna would be annoyed by the interview questions. They were very superficial. I do love the idea of Meryl raising daughters - she is the best role model. Matthew Jzac Kintanar Other then the hypocrisy of it all, this conversation was scripted which is why Anna kept looking down on paper. Streep did not need to look at paper as her acting and memorization was done well.

While Elon Musk is trying to pick on words how to explain and lay out his view and vision of the future but is struggling to do so. We all have different gifts, abilities and intellectual prowess. It's' just how you see people and learn to respect and appreciate differences.
For a second I thought she was going to dump her coat on the table like Miranda would hahaha
"I wish my mother were alive to see it"
Correct me if I'm wrong cz I guess after that, both Meryl and Anna were quite speechless and a bit teary eyes..cz I was also overwhelmed with that words
*when two legends of their own field met
I've got to say I'm tearing up a bit watching this. Seeing two strong woman that I look up to sit in that room and talk the way they did, it moves me. Female empowerment is such a beautiful thing. I could only imagine what it'd feel like to stand in a room with those two. Such inspirations.
These two women are so different in their style, the way they speak, the way they approach, it’s so fascinating to see! Both are such icons
Giants of their industry.
😱😱
The genuine connection between these two powerful women was such a pleasure to witness.

soshibell are you serious? She's a self - serving POS. I used to like her until i found out the type of person she really is. She and all the others that condoned all the disgusting mess these pervs were doing should be blacklisted
Action speaks louder than words. Isn't President Trump just much more substantial than these two airheads? MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!!!
Possibly the first woman, to stand up for women’s feelings of intimidation in the workforce, and then in the same breath include that men also feel the same. What a lady.
This is also why I admire author Riane Eisler so much. The book The Partnership Way goes into detail. It's not either about woman Over men...we are and Must all be in this together (or, at least we must try ...those men and women mature enough to set the example for such a world)

'So, Meryl .. jumping right in...'
Always straight to business, Anna ... That is why she is a living legend
1. I heard Miranda in Meryl's voice.
2. When Anna wintour tells you to stop. You stop.
I sensed Anna looking down at her notes was just thinking "WTF kind of questions are these?" All this stuff is just entirely produced. She obviously wanted a real talk with Meryl.
Is no one gonna talk about that superb acting moment when Meryl was thinking of her answer to “what was the most challenging role to portray?”. Dang, those Oscars are won by this lady for a reason.
I do love the idea of Meryl raising daughters - she is the best role model. She's right - you want to bring up the next generation of women to feel free to be themselves, it's a fine line between 'preparing' them and 'scaring' them. I think things are moving in the right direction, but it's sad that we're not there yet.
...and where is Andy?! 😁😁
Diana 11 very funny
Oh you mean "Emily"? :P
She's a fly on the wall.
to quote our beloved Emily Blunt 'she has an ugly skirt convention she has to go to'
Diana 11 you mean another Amily
The queen of fashion with the queen of acting💓😫

What an iconic video! I sometimes find myself rewatching because it’s just amazing to see this interaction between two strong women!
That last line “I wish my move were alive to see it” was so sad to me.
It’s precious to be that old and still want to show your parents things to make them proud of you
Their voices together is like asmr haha
omg i know

I love asmr hahaha
TRUU
TOTALLY
I love that Anna and Meryl both were on the same wavelength about The Devil Wears Prada. Meryl: “well I could think of one...” Anna: “No!” 😂😂
soo refreshing this one. i simply adore meryl streep.she's unique. no wonder even the LEGENDARY anna wintour seemed tamed and vulnerable with her.
Meryl is an ICON! I love how nervous Anna was in the beginning, barely looking at Meryl and then she got comfortable.
THAT'S ALL!
Marco Moro YAASSS the way she says it tho
Marco Moro My Professor uses that line😱
Favorite sentence ever😂😂
i just made 999 likes to 1000. self satisfaction toward numbers.
See how pompous she played her!
I just realized the cast of Devil wears prada and the characters they portray have both the same first letter..
Miranda-Meryl
Emily-Emily
Andy-Anne
Dont know just realized it i know that you already know this....
Clash of the Titans: the pacific, elegant and inspiring version.
I love how Anna looks at Meryl. You can really tell that she admires and respects her deeply. I don’t think I’ve ever seen Anna really look at anyone that way. It’s so wholesome ❤
I WISH THIS WAS LONGER
@ Princepeterwolf, That's what she said.
this is all so sincere and raw and powerful. but i know we were all expecting Meryl carry some Miranda Priestly vibes since in the intro people were girding their loins.
What was raw and powerful was polanski raping the girls butt and MS Streep standing to offer her ovations and approval. Hypocrocy, power and raw hypocrisy
Matthew Jzac Kintanar
Other then the hypocrisy of it all, this conversation was scripted which is why Anna kept looking down on paper. Streep did not need to look at paper as her acting and memorization was done well.
ruclips.net/video/WNrsV_o0KYo/видео.html
+pumpkineater69 she gave a standing ovation to Roman Palinski too!! SICK.
I really enjoyed this! I particularly like how Anna maintains a casual and approachable style while also asking such in depth questions (I know there are better terms for the type of questions she asked, I just can't recall them at the moment).
Meryl is a lovely woman n humble one...she can easily blend with any society n still can be her self...i love her calm voice...
I found this conversation really interesting because both women are very influential and have a strong voice.
ruclips.net/video/WNrsV_o0KYo/видео.html
influential in what way?
Lloyd Holiday
Right, I'd like to know answer to that!
Not really. A woman who gave a standing ovation to a convicted child rapist is no hero.
humorWars she probably did. Notice how long it took her to speak out against her bff Harvey.
This is everything. These are the kinds of conversations we need to have with our friends.
*Meryl streep* voice gave me chills so calming.
this is so wonderful and engaging to watch, two incredible women who are the champions of their fields... having an intellectual conversation. Warming. x

CORRECTION: Miranda Priestly Talks to Anna Wintour About Her New Movie, Harvey Weinstein, and Challenging Roles.
It would complicated, has Miranda and Anna hate each other in the book.
Miranda Priestly was actually based on Anna Wintor. You can look it up.
Two of the most brilliant and significant women in our lifetimes.
Nikhita Prabhudesai Nope, try again
One parrots scripts and the other one sells rags.... On child....your standards are so simple....
...in Your World ...not Mine !!
you must be kidding. lol.
Tampoco mames jajjajaja
I need this to be a 1 hour special
NEED IT!
"I wish my mother were alive to see it." Oh, don't we all hope that our mothers see us as the courageous women they (sometimes very secretly) hope we grow into? This was delightful, ty.
Meryl is so sweet I just want to hug her❤️
conspiracy theory: notice how they were never together in the same shot, meryl streep is actually anna wintour
roo xoxo explain
roo xoxo Actually they are when she walks in the room
Are you stupid, they are in the same scene often even in the first 15 seconds, dumb fuck.
Raider she was kiddinf
Raider kidding*
What a lovely conversation between these two inspiriting ladies. The dignity and grace they both have is remarkable. Thank you.
The Miranda Priestly character is one of the most iconic of all time. I don’t think anyone could have pulled it off other than Ms. Streep.
can't believe she's 68!! if I could look like that and worked as well in my late 60s I would be more than happy !
my heart when she said she wished her mother was alive to see it
jordan gibbons ~ooooh yes❤& the brief(painful)pause...
Maybe first time, ive seen anna wintour actually being so real as oppose to her sarcasm and icy pitch.
they’re both so eloquent and wise, such an insightful conversation between these two icons
"By all means, move at a glacial pace. You know how that thrills me."
this is the best video ever created. two iconic incredible women.
1:11 that electric shoock act ... legend only
Komang Putra yourrrr allwaysss on my minddddd oooooooo

Jose Toribio lol yes
Jose Toribio actually maybe they hate each other lol
The depth of the conversation was highly unexpected, relevant and spot on! Great chat.
The devil wears Prada feels ❤❤❤❤❤
Wow, you guys are so dumb. Such of deep conversation and the entire comment page is full with AIRHEADS.. God save us.
Miranda Priestly was actually based on Anna Wintor. You can look it up.
I'm a little mad at the intro because it ate too much into the interview time. :)
These two ladies are so impressive. ❤️
Yes! I could listen to the two of them for hours.
hahah true. but i mean, they probably didnt cut any of the interview and instead added time to the video in order to include the intro. they're probably not constrained to any specific time limits.
With a name like "the movie my life" how could you not have lived for that montage?!
Charlie Nonya - Because I was busy 'living' for the interview. :)
It was just a lil fun in all the seriousness of the interview. It almost needed it.
It’s amazing how the amazing questions come so naturally to Anna!
That’s the nicest office I’ll ever see in my lifetime.
