It accelerates pretty well up till 112 mph (180km/h) then it just hits a wall. 227 bhp and tall gearing is probably to blame. Having said that, I don't understand why the gearing would be so tall considering it's got a 9 speed auto. Shorter ratios and another 50 bhp would have done wonders for this car. 0-60mph would have been a second quicker. 0-100mph would likely be 3 seconds quicker and 0-124mph could have been 9 or so seconds quicker.

Video might be lying, but is it quite noisy inside, it is the same from your point of view?
When you drive at normal speeds it's not that noisy inside the car. There is not a lot of wind noise and you don't really hear the engine, but there is a bit of road noise. If you drive faster it's the same, only louder. 😉
this car looking good but why not 3.6 in europe ? .2.0t is slow .The only solution for me is the v6/v8 engine in this car :)

das der Gsi soooo langsam sein soll, wie oft behauptet wird, kann ich hier nicht erkennen , 7 sek /100km/h liegt sogar unter der Werksangabe, der 260PS starke Vorgänger ging nicht besser.....
Die 0-100 Zeit scheint noch in Ordnung zu sein, wobei ein Passat mit deutlich weniger Leistung und Frontantrieb ähnliche Zeiten fährt. Spätestens bei der 100-200 Zeit brauche ich mich aber nicht schlecht fühlen wenn ich die Beschleunigung für einen 230 Ps Benziner als unterirdisch bezeichne.
100-200 ist die 260PS Version Welten besser. Die 7s bis 100 waren hier garantiert mit Gefälle

I love Opel. We always drove and drive Opel, but these 2 litre engines are not the best. My Astra ST Ultimate with the 1.6 DI and 200hp goes much better. It does 100-200 km/h 5 seconds faster. Maybe a bit more weight, the 4x4 and the AT on the Insignia, but 5 seconds are a lot and the 1.6 DI has 400ccm and 30hp less.

@@user-nw6se9yc7j 700kg? Never ever. My Astra has a dry weight of 1393kg, and the new Insignia isn't that heavy like the old Insignia. It's the same with the BiCDTI. It's quite slow, the 2.0 CDTI with 170hp runs much better. Some engines are not that performant.
@@melo_pro astra has a dry weight of 1295 and the insignia 1685 so thats about 400 kg more, and its about the same 0-100 as the astra k 1.6 Turbo, i had the car in the past
@@user-nw6se9yc7j What do u think I talked about? I said, that I own a Astra K Sportstourer with the 200hp engine. Mine is almost fully equipped and has a dry weight of 1393kg. And 400kg are not 700kg. The more weight isn't the problem. But hp isn't all. Engines can run differently.
And as I said, look videos about the Insignia B with the 210hp 2.0 BiCDTI in comparison to the 2.0 CDTI with 170hp. Last one runs much better. Maybe the automatic gearbox is co-responsible, but that shouldn't make it so slow.
@@melo_pro it s not the same segment at all lol comparing a compact car to a almost 5 meter fully equipped wagon shows you don't know much about this...
Echt mager für 260ps. Dann doch lieber einen superb mit 280 ps. Hat auch viel platz, 0-100 in 6.x Sekunden und höhere top speed. und ne stage1 geht auch bedenkenlos. das af50-8 im insignia ist bei 400nm schon am ende.
Das Facelift hat 230 ps nicht 260. Und beim facelift ist ein 9 Gang Getriebe verbaut.
Unter ner Brücke 0-100 starten. Is klar...🤔

Der Start der Messung war vor der Brücke.
