  • In this painting I am doing a boho style inspired piece of art! I really liked the last one that I did, video 34: • (34) Easy DIY Abstract... . With this one, I used various shades of blue for the background and then along with a black plant, I also used some liquid gold to do some plants and the gold sure made an awesome difference! Check out that color pop!

One thing I can say about RUclips is that there's a video for everyone. I needed this particular video because I want to learn how to boho paint but I don't have sturdy hands due to carpal tunnel and Arthritis. Using the tape makes so much sense to me. Thank you so much. Have a wonderful week. ❤❤❤❤

Thank you so much! The tape definitely helps with the straighter lines. The paint may bleed a little bit but it is easy to touch up.

@amandasstudio Exactly. I did one, but it's not finished. Too bad I can't share a photo to get your feedback. Thank you

I was watching this video and I was thinking to myself you should do opposite colors like the dark leaves on the white color and white on the blues but then you did the gold leaves and yes ma'am it was gorgeous 🥰 love it... you taught an old art major a new trick to me... keep up the good work 😊...

Thank you so much! Your idea would also be great, to do the opposite colors. I may try that out :)

Beautiful picture. I would love to know what thoughts were going through your mind while you were creating that. I love it.

Thank you! I knew I wanted to do another plant themed painting (like I did in video 34), but wanted to do a different background and I also wanted to add gold. When I grabbed my tape, I just let the design come out after I did each layer. This wasn't my original plan in my head but I love the way it came out, along with the gold addition this time. That part is my favorite.

Love this! How did you transfer the leaf pattern onto the canvas?

I just drew it in pencil first before painting it.

What blue tones were those. That second Matte blue is so pretty and though I had so many blues available it didn’t come close to this colors in blue. What are the exact names of those blues. My pairing came out beautifully and everyone loved it.

Thank you! It was a midnight blue color and then I lightened it with white for the lighter shade.

Hello. I tried boho painting and used the tape. How do I get crisp lines? I did by using a paint brush but is there an easier way?

    • @amandasstudio

Not that I know of, the tape helps bu sometimes I have to touch up the edges even with the tape.
