The earliest Dylan (and Columbia) LPs I bought, back in the day, had sealed plastic "sleeves". Always a quality product from Columbia.
My first (vinyl) copy of "Blonde On blonde, on day of release, was MONO.

I like having all albums in one place. The Led Zeppelin 1993 boxset, the 2002 Stones ABKCO set, the Beatles cds/boxsets, The Doors... are always close to my stereo.

I got the CD box set after the expiration date of the digital download. Tried it and it worked anyway.
MONO was the MARKET. It wasn't until 1967-68 that mono was beginning to be discontinued.

While the LPs of all other major labels were about 30 minutes of music, Columbia typically achieved 45-ish. Always a quality product.

"Intended" or not, the MARKET was mono. It's interesting that newbie fans of "The Beatles" -- this took YEARS of refutation of their claims and demands -- are finally coming around to the fact that mono are better, because the "stereo" were actually PRE-MIXED MONO.
