    When I moved out of the States in 2010, I purposefully left an entre collection of Dylan vinyls for anyone to take at Espresso coffee shop in Dinkytown. I hope someone is enjoying one or all of them!

    Hey there Alex. Man its been a while. The early days of the Vinyl Community to be exact. So good to see you. You have not aged a bit. That is thee best Dylan collection I have ever seen. I watched all of your videos through the years. So I did see you show quite a few of these. But not all of them like today. Wonderful collection. At least 40% of them I have not seen before. Hope you come back for another one soon~

      Great memories Rob! Ha, well that's kind of you to say but not sure my hairline agrees! Yes thought it would be cool to show them all in one video. Hope you are staying well!

    What a nice surprise to see a new video from you! Cool Dylan albums in your collection, thank you for sharing. I was surprised to see that your copy of "Blood on the Tracks" has the back cover showing full artwork, whereas my American first pressing copy has the illustration in miniature and the majority of the page is words from a commentary by someone named Pete Hammill. I actually prefer how your copy looks! As you were showing your albums in chronological order, it struck me how fantastic the back-to-back releases of "Blood on the Tracks" and "Desire" was, and how still to this day they are my two favorite Dylan albums. 👍

      Interesting, I didn't know there were differences between pressings. I like the artwork he was making around that time. Indeed, 74-76 was a renaissance for him I think. Have you seen Scorsese's Rolling Thunder Revue doc on Netflix?

    what a nice surprise to see you back for the lockdown video comeback. Glad you are still spinning records and collecting. Your Dylan record collection is really fantastic. Nice to see all the originals in particular. You stay safe out there, and hope to get a few more of these videos while times are a little slow for all of us. Very nice message at the end there... Man, I used to have most of Dylan’s albums on vinyl from Bob Dylan to Knocked Out Loaded. All gone now (hangs head in shame), but have recently picked up a few from the DeAgostini DylanVinyl part work. So many original pressings gone 😕

    Hey Alex.! It’s great to see you again, I hope your hanging in okay, I’m just starting my Bob Dylan collection, I have original U.S copies of Bringing It All Back Home, Highway 61 Revisited, and Blonde On Blonde in Mono on vinyl. My 3 favorites as I think generally a lot of his fans would choose, can you recommend to me all the albums of his that are worth having.? I saw him in concert last year too by the way, Live is so different compared to the albums Lol.

      I started listing to dylan a few weeks ago and i personally listened to the albums chronologically, that way you can truly appreciate and understand dylan masterpieces such as blood on the tracks and blonde on blonde

    • @MrDylanRecords
      @MrDylanRecords  3 года назад

      I agree with the commenter above, you can't go far wrong with chronological order as you get a good sense of Dylan's evolution as an artist and songwriter. If you don't have the time then I'd single out Freewheelin' Bob Dylan, Bringing it all Back Home, Highway 61, Blonde on Blonde, Nashville Skyline, Blood on the tracks, Desire and Oh Mercy as a good primer to his work. Thanks for the kind words.

    Hey man! I am from India and I am new to Western music. I accidently came across "ALL ALONG THE WATCH TOWER" and now I am in love with it and very much fascinated about Mr. Dylan. So can you suggest where to start listening Dylan?

    • @MrDylanRecords
      @MrDylanRecords  4 года назад +1

      Good to hear man, there are so many good places to start it's hard to narrow it down. However I would say start with an album like Bringing it all Back Home as it has a nice mix of styles and tempos on it. If you like All Along the Watchtower you could listen the album its from which is John Wesley Harding. Also can't go wrong with Blood on the Tracks. Even just a greatest hits would work. There's just so much to recommend haha.

    • @seltaeb9691
      @seltaeb9691 2 года назад

      Start with the greatest hits is the best way. His first early albums you might not like, no electric guitars just acoustic & mouth organ. They're not my cup of char (hey thanks for tea!) but when he plugs in then it's better for my ears hence greatest hits best & you can judge his periods.

    If I am not mistaken, it looks like Dylan painted an image of John & Yoko on the back of the Infildels album. Possibly as a tribute to John?

    • @MrDylanRecords
      @MrDylanRecords  4 года назад +1

      Oh, you reckon? I always presumed it was of himself and perhaps Suze? Never thought about the possibility of it being John and Yoko but I see the likeness.

    • @MrDylanRecords
      @MrDylanRecords  3 года назад

      It's a difficult one to call. I like both but stereo for the electric stuff as I think you can hear some of the arrangements better.
