Out with my buddy John fishing the river for smallmouth, pike and those dang Muskie! I've realized I need a bigger net when it comes to pike and muskie as these fish are approaching the 40" mark. Head first was the way to go but I muskie in the lap!

I should throw that more for pike, anytime I throw it for bass the pike just hammer the crap out of it!
@@JaggedToothTackle I’d recommend throwing a 1/2oz finesse spinner if you can find one. Strike king has one. Still targets the hood size fish but will help numbers too.

That was a heck of a trip. Lots of nice fish caught. The wind can definitely ruin a kayak trip. I normally use a 3” brown grub for smallies where I live. Stay safe.
Was a really fun trip, just a few stretches we couldn't go with the current 😂

Do you ever post what river/lake/ state? Think I originally subscribed to you searching for North Dakota fishing, but I never recognize areas you fish.

Any recommendations on line for a baitcaster? Anything you would recommend on like type of line, poundage, brands, etc. I was thinking of beyond braid but I've heard some bad things about it.
