✨ Update for the lefties (and people like me who try to mouse with their left hand)! 🤚 LEFT HAND ERGONOMIC MOUSE REVIEW: ruclips.net/video/x3BaBU92r5M/видео.html
I have been searching for a review with small hands!!! Thanks a lot!!! It was super useful and you saved me from buying the bigger one since no one mentioned it was so big
I had the original M618 since 2012 to 2018. Switched to Microsoft Ergonomic sculpt combo. Now, I'm switching back to M618 series. In my opinion the best one there is.
Good to see a M618 video! I also have all three of these mice. And a selection of trackballs and other mice. And a Wacom tablet. I have yet to find anything to beat the original Delux M618 (now the BU/GX). The best and most comfortable mouse I've used and the mouse I use daily. I think the secret is the way the fingers curve around the front. I hope Delux never stop making it!
I have a Kensington Expert and a Kensington Orbit (the one with the scroll ring). Both are OK, but I find they make my hands and fingers sore after a day's use. I think they require too much finger movement. I also have a Logitech M570 thumb trackball which is more fiddly to use and I never mastered it. I've tried expensive mice like the Posturite Penguin and the R-Go HE, but nothing beats the M618. I always go back to the M618. I set DPI to 1600 and Windows pointer speed to maximum in order to minimize the amount of mouse movement needed. I'll post an update if I ever find anything better than the M618 original.@@Krys579
@@johnk4182 did you find anything that can finally beat the m618? sidenote; the m618 now has a rechargeable wireless version, if ever you have it ~ can you use it wired without help of 2.4 dongle or bluetooth?
I love having a wireless mouse, been using them for 11 years now. On the Logitech brand, the batteries last 18-24 months, so changing is not tedious. I did get some cheap mice for my kids, and yes, changing the batteries every couple months is frustrating. However, replacing batteries is better than replacing mice after the kids kill the wires.
5:58 Hi Krystal, great video! We sell these mice in The Netherlands. The mouse you refer to has protective plastics. It looks like you did not take them off before using. The gliders beneath the protective plastics are of good quality.
ergowerken.nl ah yes! I had no clue that it had that on it and now that I’ve taken it off my experience is even better than it was before 😁😁 thanks for pointing this out! Saves me buying a new one again 💕
@@Krys579 despite removing the protective film off the the gliders and should they wear prematurely, one possible cause could be the surface you are using your mouse on. Try using a smooth(fabric) mouse pad, as this will definitely protect the gliders and prolong their life. I have both the wired and wireless version of the Delux M618 Plus, and both have clip on palm rest, which I use at home and at work respectively; for quite awhile now. The palm rest allows me to move the mouse just using wrist movement. I should buy some more as spares, as Delux might discontinue their production of this particular model.
Thank you so much for pointing this out Ergo! I just got mine today and wondered why they were so sticky to the surface area! xD I didn't realize they had protective plastics on them! but now the mouse moves smoother than ever! (I feel like they should include this in the instruction manual for noobies like us, haha.) ...And great review regardless Krystal! :)
It's great to see the effort in making this review. It will work stronger if you were a bit more objective about the good and bad. It's good that you have preferences and that your hands are smaller but your viewers might be bigger people like me. A little more detail would be great. I know that some of the cheaper vertical mice have a crappy left click which pushes the mouse cursor off to the left.
This Chinese company doesn’t care about the warranty. I had M618 and it was broken after 8 months of office use. after I contacted the company, they were unwilling to replace or repair it. So if anyone plans to buy their products, be prepared that you are on your own after the purchase
Hey nice video! Is it possible to save the settings of the mouse buttons in the mouse itself? I believe M168 BU is customizable buttons. I'm planing to use the buttons as copy and paste for my work computer, but I'm not allowed to install softwares due to admin rights, I would do the set up in my personal computer and then use it in my work computer if possible
I just ordered one M618 mini and another for my left hand. One site recommended I choose by the size of my palm and offer a chart to compare. I don't plan on using them for gaming but I hope they are reliable for my work.
Update on the mini. I have had my mini for about 6 months. The roller wheel sometimes doesn't know if its going up or down. To take apart looks like a pain. I like the vertical mouse but the roller skipping all the time is not worth buying from this company again.
Hello! May I know your hand size? I'm thinking of getting one myself and it would be nice to have a standard regarding what mouse will fit comfortably in my hand. Thank you!!
Very good video. Understand it was a long time ago in tech years but any idea if the M618 BU buttons are programable? Doesn't seem to have any software automatically installed.
Doesn't the mini hurt your palm after quite some time? I'm about to buy one of these but I'm still confused whether to go for the mini or the regular one.
Great video! Would you say that the noise the buttons make on the M618 BU are like normal mouses? That annoying click? Or are they quiet? Thank you very much!
Thank you! My wrist has started to reallllly hurt recently, and as someone who lives in Australia, I'd come across these mice, but wasn't sure where to get them from!!
I saw that drivers are exe files :( Were you able to download the mini driver for Mac? WineBottler converter is not working for me because it's outdated :(
Hi! When you're using your favourite one with the palm rest attached and your hand is resting on it, can you move the mouse with your wrist only like you would with a regular mouse or you have to move your whole arm?
@@Krys579 Thanks! Doesn't your shoulder get tired and sore as a result? And another question if I may: does your thumb accidentally click those buttons sometimes?
On the M618 BU, is the scroll wheel pretty durable? I have a similar one by J-Tech I've been using for less than a year and the scroll wheel feels like it is wearing out.
Jordan Graham Mine hasn’t failed me in the slightest. The pads at the bottom are wearing down though, even after I’ve taken the plastic cover off them. If you buy this one just make sure you have a mouse pad :) everything else is 👌
@@Krys579 did you use this mouse with a mousepad or on the bare table surface? asking cos i would like to get this mouse but i do not want to have to replace it over and over
No disrespect, MS, but if your camera would have actually focused on the reviewed items, it would have been MUCH more helpful. Your cute, certainly, but this video would be called a "vanity" piece, focusing more on your articulation & gestures, rather than the products. If you wish to increase your views & subs in the future, my critique might serve that purpose for you. Buona Fortuna!
Eric thanks for the feedback! That’s one I haven’t heard yet. The good quality mics are quite expensive so since I was just starting out, I was using the camera mic :) new mic in most of my newer vids!
It’s supposed to be able to be used for gaming, but I don’t game so I’m not 100% sure. However, if you do pick one up, it will take a bit of time getting used to mousing a different way so don’t get discouraged if it seems hard to use at first.
Hey! It was definitely a bit strange at first but took maybe 20 mins to get oriented so it's not a very steep learning curve! Give it a couple days to really get used to - helps if you have the one that's right for your hand tho coz some I wasn't able to use altogether (just felt really weird/my palm was causing too much drag on the table).
Arent you using a mouse incorrectly? You should be able to move the mouse with the palm resting and not moving around. That could give you mouse shoulder. Control only with fingers. If you cant reach from one end to the other on the screen with the cursor, just lift the mouse up with fingers only, like if you are stroking a dog.
EVriderDK I think what you’re referring to in mouse shoulder is when you incorrectly mouse with your arm away from your body. That puts a lot of strain on your shoulder. If you hold it in an ergonomic position, it’s better to be using larger muscles as the smaller ones get more tired more easily. Only using your fingers would do more damage, especially if your mouse is heavy.
Thanks. I have a delux M618 Wireless, it's so useful, I love but a few times ago I had some troubles with it, The sinal between mouse and dongle sometimes off and I'm getting nervous with this. I think I'll buy a new Delux M618, this time I'll buy the plus one with cable.
