Overwhelming work! Not just disassembling and cleaning your drone in detail, also the camera angles you filmed the whole process. Itˋs nice to watch and I wish you all the best! Looking forward to see more of your videos 👍👍👍
@@VolvoCamperLife finally I crashed my drone. Just indoor drop von 1 1/2m maybe on some wooden table. So I disassembled it. One connection was somehow loose, but it didn’t want to work again. @@TopStocksTrader Why? If you don't understand what he's doing, it's better to leave this work to an expert. BTW considered the miracle cure WD40? Clear video, nicely done and nice music with the right volume. I would have put a little more white light on it myself. Thx 4@ll 👍🏻
Nice vid. Hot tip (no pun intended), once you dip soldering iron in Flux wipe the crud off on a damp sponge then apply a small amount of solder to the tip to act as a heat transfer. The solder joint will melt faster and avoid lifting the circuit traces on the board. For small close in work like you did a smaller tip would serve you well too. Blue skies.
This was an awesome video. Good job! I have a few suggestions that you could consider. First since it was already completely soaked with water, I would totally soak in deionized water each part and board using the brush followed by a soak in 70% alcohol and again brushing clean then dry on paper towels with a blow dryer. The metal square cans most likely contain the RF radio chips and are shielded. If possible, pry those off to get a good soaking/cleaning inside those and dry well before assembly. You could bake the boards in the oven at say 250 Deg F for 20 minutes to dry completely without any harm. Use fresh solder on each connection to the motors and use heat sink paste to better transfer heat when placing the heat sink to the bottom.
Fantastic job! Motivation in it's best, calming and clear without distractions and also the assurance that one hopefully can recover a mini 2 if worst case scenario happens :D
Great vid, I have some rust forming on my prop screws because I fly by the sea often. So I was looking for a vid on how to open the drone up carefully to check the circuitry. Well done
Ty for this! I have the original mini..will one day either upgrade to mini 2 or something more pricey. But, my power button is not wanting to work correctly and saw quite a few of us have this issue. Well, I've had mine for about 3+ years now so for sure no longer under warranty. Saw a video of a person taking theirs to a drone repair shop. We don't have those here. Closest is about 2hrs away. Anyway, theirs was dirty and the button was sticking. Mine still works but I have to apply much more pressure than I should to get it to turn on. I'll be taking it apart, cleaning it and checking everything soon. Ty for showing how everything opens!

Just happened to me today 😢 washed it with distilled water and dried it with blower and then soaked it in rice hopefully after 5 days it would still work 🤞
@@VolvoCamperLife Yes, it's really astonishing how they have done it because the gimbal has to move very smoothly. Excellent engineering, seem worth the price.

Very helpful video, just got my mini down from a tree after 5weeks and it got pretty wet, hopefully it will fly again after some TLC. Thanks for the upload 👍 great job 👍
Awesome video, my M3P took a dive in the river and i was able to find it 24h later, took it out, battery out, dried it with a blow dryer, sat it on a Radiator Heater for 3 days, tried it again, still, not switching on nor any lights coming on using a new battery. I guess mine is Completely DEAD

I dropped mine in water yesterday evening unfortunately it had to stay over night and I found it this morning but sense I had it dry out it’s not powering on anymore I seen ur water crash video a few hours after I lost mine

haha, thanks :) No need, I'll get some better one next time. This has a setting of max. 450 ° C, however, was probably not enough or it is no longer warm enough.
Hi there! Nice video, I've seen you lubricate rotors, I asumme it was Isopropyl alcohol? Mine drone was stuck on the roof for a couple weeks, before I finnaly rescued it) And i was happy enough to know the battery discoonected when it crashes, so hopefully there was no damage done by the rain. And yes after drying it and putting another battery in, its acted like normal, but it seems to me motors make a little noise, maybe there is a liitle corosion, or they just need to be lubbed, what can you recomend for this? Maybe WD-40 is the way to go?
I did exactly that to mine but unfortunately for me it was sea water so the motors ended up corroded and jammed. Also the proximity sensor would occasionally send a false signal sending the drone down from mid air which caused it to drop a second time in the sea water then it was all done.

Can you tell me why the dji drone (eg dji mini 2) runs out of battery, so why when I have charged the battery to use it, I want to store it for a long time without fully discharging it. Just like when the new dji sold, thank you!
