I'm a merchant mariner from China, currently loading cargo in Turkey. I just wanted to say that your videos are a true inspiration for anyone who loves sailing and ocean. After sailing for years, your videos kinda remind me of why I fell in love with sailing in the first place and I feel a real connection to the adventures you're sharing with us. As a merchant mariner, I know how tough and demanding at sea can sometimes be and the challenges that come along. Thank you for sharing your journey with us. Bond voyage!
Hello Family, Rene, my Uncle Jimmy was a sailor in WWII. When I was a child he took me deep sea fishing. I was worried about being seasick as we boarded. He said, "Don't worry, I brought some pickles." So hey yeah, that is a remedy with some history. Bon voyage.
@ My Cancer Journey well this RUclips isn't for everyone but whatever it may be you gotta be strong to fight this . I'll be glad to subscribe your channel..
Your channel is the only one that comes to mind- that brings the 'wholesomeness' of family and the opportunities only found in FAMILY. Thanks for sharing!

It is crazy watching these kids grow up. Have I really been watching this long?!!? Congrats on the circumnavigation. I really enjoy your narration and the pickle advice is new to me.
I have just started ❤watching! I grew up in American Samoa and watching your kids grow up in this environment (on the ocean) as I did, has been amazing to watch.
We just love Turkey. You must try and get to Dalyan when the season starts, it's a world nature site and river delta. You can anker near a protective island, then take dingy behind spit where there is a pontoon, then get a local coop taxi boat upstream to the mud baths and a great evening meal.
Handsome sons, beautiful daughter, awesome parents...one amazing Family...Thanks Z crew...really enjoyed your video...its like a modern version of the Swiss Family Robinsons or even better....
Renee: This is terrific. I mention this to our friends and tell the greatest observation we can make....The experiences you have provided each other and more importantly, your children, will follow them..and you for entire lives. These young people have learned to live in peace and in mild conflict.."In closed quarters". They have learned to contribute and "selflessly invest in the family unit" and take care of each other. And when you are all older, they will take care of you both. When they have their own families, they will raise them as they were raised. :) Congratulations. :) Tony

Hello from Northern Arizona I just finished watching this new video with my morning coffee and thank u so much for making it more enjoyable! For awhile I was on the seas with you lol can't wait for the next one😊
12:08- Sailing into the port of Finike after seeing those mountain peaks on the horizon peek out of the rain clouds reminded me of the wonder that mariners as far back as the Odyssey must have experienced. BTW, Finike's original name was 'Phoenix' and the port was evidently founded by the Phoenicians (who named it for themselves). Thanks for sharing those views with us and I hope the rest of your journey is smooth!
Hello to the family! Glad you made it safely. I never had a doubt. Keith is such a great captain of a boat. Bring back your old intro with the song!! I've noticed you've been just using it at the end of the videos lately. But having it as a intro just sets the mood for your whole video. It's one of my favorite parts!
For sea sickness I know of people who use isopropyl alcohol wipes apparently smelling them stops the seasickness. Probably similar to the pickles but not as tasty. All the best from Halifax Nova Scotia Canada
I will never sail, but I am a huge fan of this channel. I am 55 now..born (1967) and slightly older than the channel patriarchs....big fan.. I might not do the fantastic things you all do, but there is still the 59 thing... I am getting close. You all inspire me to be closer....
Hey Zatara. I saw a video on Sailing Doodles last week where he installed a star link on the trimaran he is using. You may want to see the video because he mentioned that Star Link was not letting yachts use the RV package but something different.

Funny that Keith mentions Peplink. I was just looking at their different models, trying to decide which is just right for me. Some allow for 2 Starlink Dishes to be connected. That catch is that its 2 subscriptions, one for each dish. So 2x the monthly cost, but likely 2x the speed or just more reliable. Looking forward to Keith doing a How-To install of it.
Amazing to see how the kids are now . What a great experience. For your information Turkey name change to Türkiye. Your channel make travelling, love it so much ❤
QUESTION: Over the years, as I've watched other sailing channels, I noticed that whenever there was fresh rain everybody would jump on deck with scrub brushes and start cleaning the deck whether they felt like it or not. As soon as you got the fresh rain in Turkey I expected everybody to do that but it didn't happen, and I was just curious why that was? This seems to be a pretty universal approach, and I was just wondering if you guys have a preferred way of cleaning the deck that doesn't involve scrubbing in the rain?
When I can, I tried to cast these videos to my TV. It is such an awesome experience watching it from a big screen. The video is so much better watching it this way. The quality, cinematography is amazing. So much more detail. I can't recommend it enough. Whole different experience. As always, awesome video!
As always, a groovy video. The pickle thing for sea sickness seems bizarre but cool. Your families with close and personal experiences with all the countries that you visit, gives us a real view of the people and sometimes even their governments. Stay safe and stay groovy.
Congratulations on your circumnavigation! The oceans are full of life and your videos help share with us the beauty of the world, and now, we know it better.🦋🌞🤗
Great video, Renee! Congratulations on the circumnavigation! How exciting. The kids have certainly got a great education. I love Finn spewing off French. Definitely good to know turkey friendly, Egypt not so much. That’s sad. You guys stay safe. Be happy be well. Love from California.💜🤗🤟🏻🇺🇸
Good video. Renee does such a great job. Couple of questions for Keith: (1) I think I noticed quite a bit of black smoke from your exhaust - how many hours are on the engines and when are they due for a major service or overhaul? (2) Following last year’s hurricane in Florida, many electric vehicles burst into flames after the lithium batteries were exposed to salt water - what are your present thoughts about the safety, desirability, and reliability of lithium batteries on a boat?
Your channel is fun to watch! In future episodes please have the boys play more music! We haven't gotten to see them play much, but when they do they are great on their guitars and for their age seem to be very talented!
Hi Keith, Renee and family. Huge congrats on completing your circumnavigation. And you have done it with such style as a wonderful loving and supportive family. Amazing! Also great to see some footage of Cyprus and Turkey again. So sorry you also found out that Cyprus isn’t necessarily the best place for cruising. Gail

Ughhh it should have happened!! Our crew is not the most proactive! Gotta work on that…..
lol you really drop the bomb at the end, can't wait to watch..
When I can, I tried to cast these videos to my TV. It is such an awesome experience watching it from a big screen. The video is so much better watching it this way. The quality, cinematography is amazing. So much more detail. I can't recommend it enough. Whole different experience. As always, awesome video!
Congratulations on your trip around the world. Very nice of you to bring some more young folks on your boat
Congratulations on sailing around the world, that's fantastic, can't wait to hear what happened next week, til then, bye 👍🙏❤️😎🐳
Awesome video guys!!! Congratulations on going all the way around!!!
As always, a groovy video. The pickle thing for sea sickness seems bizarre but cool. Your families with close and personal experiences with all the countries that you visit, gives us a real view of the people and sometimes even their governments. Stay safe and stay groovy.
My dad was a Texan, greatest man I ever knew. I feel like I understand u guys. I pray for u . Thanks for including us in your travels. ☘️
You’re having an amazing journey! 👌🏻
Congratulations on your circumnavigation! The oceans are full of life and your videos help share with us the beauty of the world, and now, we know it better.🦋🌞🤗
Thank you for sharing your family and your travels. I feel like to say that today to you family.. Blessings
Great video, Renee! Congratulations on the circumnavigation! How exciting. The kids have certainly got a great education. I love Finn spewing off French. Definitely good to know turkey friendly, Egypt not so much. That’s sad. You guys stay safe. Be happy be well. Love from California.💜🤗🤟🏻🇺🇸
try some candied ginger for seasickness
Good video. Renee does such a great job.
Couple of questions for Keith:
(1) I think I noticed quite a bit of black smoke from your exhaust - how many hours are on the engines and when are they due for a major service or overhaul?
(2) Following last year’s hurricane in Florida, many electric vehicles burst into flames after the lithium batteries were exposed to salt water - what are your present thoughts about the safety, desirability, and reliability of lithium batteries on a boat?
Your channel is fun to watch! In future episodes please have the boys play more music! We haven't gotten to see them play much, but when they do they are great on their guitars and for their age seem to be very talented!
5 years with this boat, and I saw your video for the first time when you buy your first boat! So long time.
Have a nice time in Mediterranean.
Turkey is awesome!
welcome to turkey, beautiful people, greetings to everyone and have a good trip, holidays
Hope y'all CELEBRATE(d) your accomplishment.
Appreciate your sharing the adventure with all of us.
Thank you guys. Love watching your videos. I planned on being there but I don't have to reconsider. Blessings to you for sharing your family
I really admire you guys as a family living the dream
Prayer is the wings behind your sails.
Be safe on the water.🙏🏻💕
Congrats ahead of time,( but probably not!) on circumnavigating the WORLD!!!!! WOWZA!!!! I did it too, with YOU!
I so love watching! YOU GUYS ROCK!
Gail
