@PainKiller18775 while your statement is true (why have something if it's not usuable), car manufacturers do this to save costs by fitting into certain regulatory standards. It costs more not to have a back, would make coupes even more expensive for the buyer.

@@B_L_Smith lots of stop and go in my drive. On long trips I see upwards of 24mpg but that usually involves highway pulls lol. I'm sure it could be higher but I enjoy it. I drive a Nissan hatchback for mpg's. That sucker has 207k miles and still gets 30+

I just did 27.9 MPG on a trip to FL. Blind spots aren't that bad. The plastic doesn't feel like it's going to fall off. And mine is Manual.

To be honest the gas mileage is the only concern, but if I can afford a modern Camaro then of course I can afford the gas for it, and I really don't care as long as it's fun to drive 😎

Go for it! I've been wanting a 2nd gen trans am since I was in middle school 13 to 15 years ago. I bought my first one earlier this year and set to work on fixing it up. Then got a call from a buddy about a trans am sitting in his friends yard for almost 25 years. Bought it for $500, got it home, $75 later and we had it running. Now I've got 2 of my dream cars. I think I'm going to fix up my '78 for shows.
Might want to do that sooner than later, car manufacturers are going woke and dropping V8s in favor of boring EVs with a “sports car” shell.

Me with my Camaro sitting in the driveway: 🤌🏻
1) The blindspots aren't bad with the upgraded blindspot detection feature and the video rearview mirror. 2) The plastic parts are enough quality to not show wear or break. 3) I average 20 mpg in an SS daily driving. 4) You can bypass the rev limiter with an easy trick (in comment section) 5) The back seats.... well they are tiny but I still fit my parents back there.
Come on now, only had my ZL1 for 2 months and blind spots are not bad, gas mileage is decent asf if you drive easy. I drove 320 miles to the beach on 65$. With back passengers 😂 ive owned scats and RTs, test drove a hellcat. And i love my camaro. Dont regret it at all!

I test drive camaro ss 6-7 years ago my first vehicle which I still have is Chevy obs I’m used to have good visibility when I test drive the camaro that’s as my first complain and the ugly interior. But since it was a big dealership the salesperson took me to Toyota and I got Camry cheaper and this day I don’t regret it because how expensive gas is in California. Perfect daily full tank I get 420miles.
Next time I search for a muscle car I'll make sure it's comfortable with good gas milage and spacious rear seats. 👍 cause that's the only reason we buy those kinda cars ya know..

It may not have an engine but at least it gets the best gas mileage, because you can’t get bad fuel economy if you don’t have an engine.
Never drove a Camaro and I still know about the blindspots from how much the owners talk about them. I was literally looking for a car a year or two ago, same with my mom and we kept seeing Camaros. I’d have to tell her every single time about the blindspots. She ended up with a Chevy trailblazer and I swear blindspots are just a Chevy thing. I never worried about blindspots other than the trailblazer, I’ll be on a two lane road and want to switch lanes, I’ll check my mirror and see nobody behind me, look over my shoulder and see nobody on the side of me. The second I’m about to get over a car zooms out of nowhere right beside me because my blindspot had them hidden. Happened multiple times and all you can do is stay calm and keep in your lane. I mean like it happens at the last second I’ll literally see the car pass me the second I’m about to switch lanes meaning if I would have gotten over it would be a direct hit.
My Camaro gets amazing gas mileage , 600 KM to the full tank ; you’re just flooring it everywhere

I have a 5th gen, the blind spots were a bit of a pain but you do get used to them after a bit. If anything, it does make you be a little more careful when pulling into tight spots
So basically don’t buy a Camaro if you’re only looking for a grocery getter. The Camaro exists for a reason, and if you’re not gonna buy it for that reason then shut up about it and don’t buy it.

What’s wrong with Hondas
Keeping your foot on the brake and holding the shifter in the space between park and neutral turns off the rev limiter. I got that from a RUclips video a while ago for 2019 Camaro…
You get used to the blind spots after a while and the driver windows are large enough to peek oncoming traffic with well adjusted mirrors
From what I've heard holding down both the paddle shifters in the newer Corvette is how you eliminate the soft rev limiter. Id assume it's the same in the Camaro.
You only need to look forward when you're doing 165 mph so no need to worry about blind spots. In the manuals no soft rev limiter, I have Texas speed headers. MBRP race back cattless exhaust, with an DSX ethanol kit. 530 HP at the fly, I have the SS 1LE with the performance data recorder so it lets me know 0 to 60, 0 to 100, quarter mile Etc.. It does 0 to 60 in 3.7 so i love to get on it pretty hard. The ethanol gives 25 more horsepower but gets 30% less MPG than 93 octane. Plus I tuned out the eco fuel skip shift and since it's a manual no cylinder deactivation. And I still run 14 miles per gallon bro. The back seats are only for children and adults you don't like plus it has two more than the C7 Corvette. It has cheap Plastics but it's half the price as the C7 Corvette but with the same 6.2 liter 376 cu inch small block V8 running on the identical Alpha platform chassis.... have a nice day

I've had mine for 2 years and at first felt like the visibility was poor but I love it now. You get used to it. And it feels like your driving in a batmobile in your own private little cockpit. Plenty of privacy. Driving any other cars it feels like I'm sitting in a fish bowl
@@DoWorkNP as long as you're comfortable and can have it where you can see what you need to that's all that matters. I ended up buying a convertible from a different company and don't see everything when the top is up but make sure by looking 2 and 3xs when changing lanes

I have a 2012 45th Edition, 2SS convertible, with over 235,000 miles.
I haul my wife and two kids around regularly.
I’m averaging 19-21 mpg.
Highway can see 23-27mpg, depending on speed and conditions.
“Play time” on a curvy road still yields 12-14+ cause it’s not working hard to maintain speeds sufficient to make your passenger wipe leather…
Its visibility isn’t amazing, but after my first couple days, I was used to it. Owned her 7 years now. I see all I need to see.

I just bought a 2023 2SS in April and my gas mileage says 21.3 MPG, but I don't drive it all crazy. I only really get on it when I'm merging or if there is very little traffic. It is my daily driver, and I have about 3500 miles on it now.
My cruise control button actually fell off 🤣
