I can't stop watching your videos... I live on a farm in summertown TN near hohenwald.... I love my chickens and love to be able to come here and watch your videos and learn from you. thank you so much and keep it up!!! I hope you get your own show one day!!
We were also told you can tell by the feathers on their wings as they come in. The first few days before all the big ones come in. At our Murdock's they picked 11 out of 12 girls. :) can't wait to see how this turns out.
I'm looking forward to watching this. I like seeing how other people do things. Like you however, I think the shape of the eggs has nothing to do with the sex of the embryo within. Having said that any thing you can do to increase your odds of getting hens is worth a try. Good luck. Oh. By the way. I'm a homesteader from South Australia so I'm putting in a vote for an Australorp in the hatch! LOL.
I also heard that the cooler that you store eggs before setting into incubator can help determine sex also. Somewhere online I read that. Don't know how true it is, but will be interesting to see how yours come out. The last 5 I hatched out just before thanksgiving looks like 3 rooster and 2 hens.
Sadly, never realized there were so many different colors of eggs. Thanks. Love the education.
+Dave Hoffman Thank you! xo

Great info. I could listen to you talk all day long 😂
I've always understood the egg shape is unique to the hen doesn't matter if the rooster was or wasn't involved..

Can you please give us the next video link to see the hatching
you are just the best
You might want to right six on the 6 so you don't confuse it with number 9 nine.
4:47 what breed had the dark brown egg? it almost looks like wood.
+Happy Camper Rabbitry Nope. Not wood. That would be a Welsummer egg. Thanks for watching! xo
my chickens layd a egg that was almost a circle
Great video. No way does the shape of an egg determine sex but definitely a fun project. )
+Lamar Sineath Anytime we can hatch sweet chickie babies and educate on how to... it's always a blast! Thanks for watching! xo
