While watching this, it just occurred to me that fighting the Elders might be another reason why Rayleigh trained Luffy to fight giant animals for two years.
Two observations: 1.) The boar jumped over the water not really caring, you wouldn't do something like that if you were a devil fruit user. 2.) If the boars tusk is broken off does that mean it broke Warcury's mustache?
Maybe he knows how to do the air walk thing in that form (or is able to revert back to his original form and use it). I like your theory but I think it'll be a bit weird if Oda suddenly introduced a new type of power at this point.
It does support the yokai/demon theory, and for that same reason I highly doubt the tusks are the mustache "transformed", more like Warcury has a mustache like that as a signifier or manifestation of his demon form.

I have no idea where Oda is taking the Stussy-CP0 storyline and I am excited to see where it goes.
About 13:00... Well many opponents that Luffy's nakama fought were probably enemies that Luffy would have trouble defeating. Some of Zoro's guys like Mr 1, Hawkins and Ryuma and the sea train etc. Heck even Usopp's opponents like Perona and Sugar. Not to mention he would be lost at sea starving without Nami and Sanji. It is why Oda set it in stone at Arlong Park when Luffy said that he can't do a lot of things and that's why he has a crew that can balance each other out. This was restated at Enies Lobby when Sanji told Usopp to leave the little wolf to him and go do what Usopp does best that no one else can do.
I have zero clue why people seem to think that Luffy should be able to do everything because he's the MC when this is clearly not that type of story.
Imho, the good guys by necessity MUST be weaker than the bad guys and need to struggle and team up and taking an effin' long time to beat up the bad guys so the big bad powerful towering authority is destroyed and the wheel is broken. If the MC can easily defeat said baddie then who is to stop this MC from becoming the next towering authority who no one can oppose and the wheel just keeps on getting bigger? Hence Luffy never ever gonna be able to easily defeat the really really dangerous baddies and will always need tons of help and support.

-The thing about the boar/ Warcury is not that luffy cant hit him, but that luffy needs to use his gear 5 to fight the at all. He could fight them just fine in gear 5, but anything less hurt him. So far he only attacked the other gorosei in gear 5, so we cant say if they would hurt him with his normal attacks.-
No. Hitting Warcury while in Gear 5 still hurt Luffy. It happens at the end of 1114

Its weird cuz yeah we see G5 luffy hit him but did he use advanced haki? Cuz we didnt see any black lightning and he was touching him directly unlike the usual gap there is when advanced haki is used.
Egghead has been annoying with that cuz oda wants us to be scared and wary of the characters' durabilities like the gorosei and seraphim but he doesnt show luffy or zoro using their advanced haki, so it feels a lil cheap.
Fun idea! What if the 5 elders, Zunesha, the Robot, and even Imu, were all a part of Joyboy’s “crew”. Making that assumption, what if they’re fighting each other based on different understandings of his “will” or “dream”

The only thing Oda could do to surprise me at this point is letting everyone, including us, hear the full message after teasing us with it being cut off early, by replaying it or something.
We need a reason this is called the Egghead Incident, and something to spark off the final war.
His full, final message could definitely do it.
I mean from what we’ve already seen, i would call it the egghead incident. 1 freshly made yonko and crew of 9, against a buster call, an admiral, and the appearance of the five elders; and the yonko made it out without too much loss. Vegapunks death on top of all that is enough for the news and ordinary people to call this the egghead incident. I think you’re right though, i dont think the message will fizzle out and would instead leave on a bigger last message. This is for all intents and purposes vegapunks last will and testament so i think there’ll be a send off of sorts.

Hi Murphy. I know this has nothing to do with the topic one piece. But I just wanted to share this with you. I found your channel while looking for new books to read. You convinced me to read lies of lock lemor it became one of my favorite books with the 2nd and 3rd feeling so different from one another I just learned there will not be a 4th made anymore. Just wanted to say as a one piece fan I appreciate how one piece/ Manga has captured you so. I say all that to say this. How is the balance from Manga and normal books going for you. Also is there any books that you would recommend for the one piece fan?
The last chapter being controversial because of Bonney G5 transformation, now some fans or powerscalers are so quiet. Bonney is now out of stamina and she is in regular form in this chapter

If you were interested in reading a fictional story with a golem brought to life the way Emet might have been, Wrath Becomes Her by Aden Polydoros was enjoyable read, historical and I think loosely inspired by Frankenstein? Anyway I'm interested to see what Oda does with that myth in his work.

I liked that cool action from that Iron Giant against the boar gorosei 😍💖✨ (the term Emeth kind of reminds me of the character from the last volume of the Chronicles of Narnia, but that robot may be "an experimental product", similar to Alphonse from Full metal alchemist 😱🤖🖤)
The boar's myth is that it has an extremely hard head, lol.
For deep diving Emet/Emeth and the golem lore - an interesting point of animanga reference that a lot of people are missing is Al from FMA (remembering how his soul is tethered to the armor via a symbol). Interesting from a character and themes application POV in addition to the history and mythology around the golem

The story about the Golem of Prague does play into the robot aspect too because that story might've somewhat inspired the first book that invented the term "Robot"

I think Vegapunk talking about the prophesy is weird. I thought it was like Kuma, some genetic thing, but seems less likely now.
I’ve been saying Oda is turning the prophesied one thing on it’s head. It was too ambiguous to be Luffy. He’s a red herring imo, hence his main colors being red.

I wonder if the Iron Giant has a power akin to Blackbeard's Yami Yami no Mi, allowing it to bypass whatever power the 5 Elders are using, be it Haki, devil fruit, or something else entirely. It would go a long way towards explaining why it was so feared.

I’m thinking vegapunk said something that is believed about the will of d that we may not know yet (maybe not expressly but could put together once it’s told to us) and said that this notion is wrong. It seems like everything we already know is verifiable unless even those verifying factors are wrong.

I think the misconception about the will is that they don't need to be blood related to inherit the will (oden) and that people who are blood related don't necessarily follow the will (blackbeard)
Seeing that massive straw hats counterattack against the bird gorosei was great, I enjoyed it and I found it very funny (very similar to that fight against Moria & Zombie Giant Oars in Thriller park) 🤣🖤✨
For what material the spear piercing the iron giant is made out of, I think it's likely more to do with who was wielding it and their abilities, like having a strong enough haki. I also think it's possible we will learn that in order to kill the Five Elders you need some special technique (maybe combining all three hakis at once?). The robot might know about it, but it's probably very rare in the current world of One Piece.
After I watched your video this morning I then listened to Mama Drawk who is now caught up! She said this chapter has confirmed that the elders are not devil fruit users because of the boar jumping into the water to go after the crew. This means that they are Yokai or Demons. I have watched a lot of anime and typically where there are Demons there is a Demon King. Could that be what Imu is then?

I found the name Emet to be intriguing so I had looked up the name to understand the meaning. Outside of what you had mentioned in the video, I found out that Emet was used in the Old Testament of the Bible for one of God’s many names, Jehovah El Emet (God is Faithful).
The Hebrew word “emet” is translated with words like “faithful,” “reliable,” “sure,” “trustworthy,” and “amen” so I thought that it could be in line with the Iron Giant tasked by Joyboy to either relay a message or fulfill a mission that he was commanded to carry out and intends to keep that promise until it’s fulfilled much like God keeping His promises to fulfill to the Jews in the Old Testament through the coming of Jesus.
I thought that was another interesting parallel considering that this arc delves into the topic of faith a bit.
I think there is a double meaning with the Giant named Emet. Golems in Jewish folklore are used for protection, particularly from pogroms started by antisemitic attacks from the ruling Christians. the robot could well have been used as a way to protect the next joyboy from the world government in the future and that is what was meant by "the right time?" that Emet was remembering with his conversation with Joy boy. also in the way you mean by truth.
If Luffy's fruit embodies freedom, then I see Bonnies fruit being the embodiment of dreams. As long as it's a future (dream) she believes can exist, she can temporarily (at least for now) attain that future.
Thematically Im really okay with her getting a power like Luffy because it's representative of her belief in Luffy (Nika) and her Dad.

for me , the moment the iron giant hit that giant boar elder got me thinking, what the hell is that thing made out of? sea stone? something only the void century ppl were able to use because of reasons we dont know like wapols fruit but used in a more humane way instead of greed and self centured idiology of "I aM KiNg sO I aM BeTtEr"

I love that Oda leaned into Jewish Mythology with this and named the Iron Giant the same word that you write on the golem to activate it. I love the idea that all Joy Boy's crew members' names have a theme or create a sentence or each first letter spells out a word, etc.
