@@pod155I'm not complaining personally because I like reaper. Especially since I started the job late in the xpac it still feels new to me as well. If people want more complexity there are other jobs for that. I was just saying the general consensus I've seen posted around online.
@@pod155Reaper is funny cus the floor is so low but the ceiling is so high especially for harder longer fights like TOP. People who are bad at it thinks it's easy, people who are trying to learn it in some actual endgame fights thinks it's too hard, while people who actually know how to play it will probably think it's mostly fine if a bit on the easier side. I'm honestly just disappointed at DT cus while the changes are great, we effectively didn't really get anything new gameplay loop wise
@@ryudhal I'm not bad at it, and I think it's pretty easy. But it's not a bad thing to be easy sometimes. Sometimes easy makes it better for learning content with, because you can focus more on mechanics.
I love the new Executioner variants of gibbet and gallows. Very satisfying visceral animations and very nice potency. Should spice up the downtime between burst phases nicely.
don't know if you checked or not mr rinon sir, but is arcane circle buffed to 5% for 20 or is it still 3%, similar to searing light going from 3% over 30, to 5% over 20?
My main problems with Reaper are still that it doesn't feel good to play until 90 and Death's Design feeling like it cuts into the flow of the job. When it IS at 90 it does feel pretty good, but I think all the other Melee DPS (including Viper) got so many amazing things this time around and all feel good at 70 at the latest. Also super glad Viper's "Death's Design" is in it's combos, I wish Reaper did the same.
Gonna miss using true north mid shroud for gluttony after in fights like top. Still using Sacrificium after every gcd gonna make shroud feel way more inpactful
Sad to see that the raid buff is unchanged, as it feels clunky to line up with other buffs and frustrating to use in DF when people don't push buttons.
sorry but that sounds like a skill or latency issue. i am rank 67 with reaper on normal raids and i have never had a problem lining up arcane circle. in fact the class has a perfect 2 min rotation. 🤷♂
@pizzaaFAEN Its due to it giving 50 shroud gauge from a combo action coming off it, meaning you want to purposely use it earlier than other raid buffs so that you get shroud to use for during burst
RPR is great, and I really enjoyed it in EW, but this... is really boring. Flashy moves and big finishers are great and all, but one hopes that in something as big as an expansion, for a class to actually evolve in some way. Oh well, can't win them all, I guess.
I get what you mean, Red Mage hasn’t changed and it’s one of my favorite DPS, while my favorite healer AST gets reworked every expansion when we all just wanted it to remain as Stormbloods iteration.
unfortunately ff14 doesn't rly do big changes in their jobs with new expansions like for example WOW which introduces new systems in various amounts of success ofc. They tend to go for flashy new animations to compensate that.

Did you get to try the action change system. Can you make your 123 combo into a single button
You cannot, it's only for specific comboing cooldowns, usually ogcds
Do you know if Arcane Circle and Plentiful Harvest have an option to be consolidated into the same button?

I actually like that it's not vastly different or "evolved". I can't stand the constantly changing the way the game feels every single expansion.
