I love the part you spoke about personal selling, it's old but very effective because you can convince the person interested in the products you have and once you're able to convince one person you'd be able to have more customers your way!,thanks a lot this message was very needed.
Starbucks in Australia was a huge failure and I kind of love that. But thanks for the clear, professional video. It really helped me in my marketing coursework.
Thank you for this video. There is little good content on RUclips that goes into the details of marketing properly. Much appreciated. It has also challenged me to create even better content in future.
@@Alanisbusinessacademy may yoh help me with this question. you have been appointed as a marketing manager at a well-established cosmetic company. As part of your responsibility you are requires to suggest a marketing.mix for the launch of a new perfume targeted at the luxury end of the cosmetic market
Sir i had a doubt... i would like to ask it with an example... assuming i am selling a toothpaste X at price Rs. 10 (talking of the scenario in India) and my competitor is selling his product with exact same features as my product in Rs. 9 How will i attract customers to my product? In India, even a rupee's difference can cause customer to switch from our brand to our competitor's brand. So what is the solution for this problem?
Jinnie Thakkar I don't know that I can give you a simple answer Jinnie. Depending upon the area some consumers are more price sensitive than others, which means they are much more likely to respond to a decrease in price. It also depends upon the product. If the perception amongst consumers is that all toothpaste is the same, then consumers will make their decision based upon price alone. However if the business is able to convince consumers through advertising, product packaging, etc that the product is better, than they will be able to charge more. Not sure that's much of a solution, but those are some of the variables to consider. Hope that helps.
Greetings of the day. Thankyou so much sir. I suggested the points you gave to my colleagues... They said it might work... Thankyou so much for providing me with the solution.
Thanks for the video uhm i find it funny when people define a tern while using the term in the definition a product is a tangible product is this okay or as in in an exam u can write that just asking
Dear Alanis! thumbs up for your useful note on marketing! Nevertheless, I have a project research on Gelato ice creams and I have a question if you could kindly answer: How can the company increase the sales or persuade Gelato consumers who are majorly eating at evening and dinner time to eat also at lunch more? (using marketing mix) Thanks in advance. Ahmad
Ahmad Mustafa Frotan You're very welcome. That's a rather interesting question. That way that I would think about the question is what could you alter in each area of the marketing mix to position this product (Gelato ice cream) to give the afternoon crowd more of an incentive to purchase it. Probably the most obvious change, at least to me, is to discount the price of the Gelato to give customer an incentive to come in to the restaurant earlier in the day. This can be a very simple discount or possibly a sales promotion. Possible provide a discount to the evening patrons if they come in during lunch time. Another idea could be offer a gift card drawing for customers who purchase Gelato around lunch time. Lunch time crowds, depending upon the area, tend to comprised of a larger number of office workers so perhaps catering to that crowd in their advertising could be a good strategy. One the product side the company may diversify their offerings and include some lunch type items that pair well with Gelato. Just a few ideas. I hope this helps you with your project.
