When Koreans enter the entertainment industry, they pack up and go to Seoul from all over Korea, leaving behind their hometowns to embrace the Seoul way of life, the Seoul fashion, the Seoul accent. There used to be animosity between different regions of Korea, and even now, satoori (regional dialect) is often mocked and associated with being a country bumpkin, unintelligent, uncivilized, and gullible. So when they say they ran for a long time, it is running from the cultures and dialects of their hometowns. When BTS was first starting out, one of their mocking nicknames was Satoori Boys, since none of them were actually from Seoul, but the regions outside of it. They worked hard to adopt the Seoul accent, and have sometimes been embarrassed when they got excited/emotional and their satoori popped out. It's kinda like people from the south or northern regions going to Hollywood and adopting a non-accent, only allowing their regional accents to emerge for emphasis, fun, or movie/show roles. Nowadays, BTS have embraced the beauties of their regional culture and Ma City and Paldogangsan are celebrations of that.
@@xstoofpeer Technically, he's from Gwacheon, which is just on the outskirts of Seoul. But yeah, he is what people think of when they think Seoul - tall, handsome, well-dressed, well-mannered, soft spoken, eloquent.
Carrie Cole right like when people from Texas have an accent and then they go to school of y’all to someone and they get made fun of because of their accent like my mom has a Mississippian accent but that’s because her mom was from Batesville and she has a accent and a lot of people ask if she was from KC or not. Ma City and Paldogangsan are some of favorite songs from BTS simply because they're so full of pride for where they're from. Some of the hate comments they used to get were BECAUSE they're all from these different regions and not from Seoul like a lot of other idols are. So that unabashed embracing of where they're from? back then, trainees were taught to speak “correctly” and hide their accents aka satoori and where they are from, BTS was looked down upon by the GP because of the stereotypes that come with their home towns. because they weren’t from Seoul and most from the countryside people underestimated them, made fun of their looks, their tanned skin, even as low as making fun of their poverty, calling them dirt spoons and so much more. they were harshly treated because they were seen as different and other. BTS are from each region of Korea and seeing that in a group that so proudly embraced was inspiring to many. They where from all different regions, and just like in the USA there can be generational bad blood with different coasts and areas, but BTS accepted each other, not letting where they are from separate them. at first, they felt pressure to hide their pride and accents, but by this era, they where done with all of that and didn't want to feel shame in where they were from. MA CITY will always be an amazing song about having pride in something despite people telling you you should be ashamed. its peak rebellion.

They have many different types of songs. This one is a more hype upbeat that had a rock but almost funk sound to it. They have some other songs like this where they kinda just let loose or go off lol. It did show my link for N.O. but it stopped showing after I added the link for No More Dream! The links for both songs are actually above yours but just not showing! (How frustrating YT can be sometimes!) HaHa! You just also added my other equally fav song Tomorrow which I recently requested and the link that time for it did show up!! Nico did seem interested in it!! Hopefully they'll react to that as well!! Also another one that I've loved is Boyz With Fun HYYH Concert. Since there isn't really a good one that has subs, I usually recommend seeing the lyric vid first for that one!! Another one I always request from the HYYH Concert is BTS "Hip Hop Lover" Eng Sub Live HYYH Concert - by Lyndaek99 - that channel has nice big legible English subtitles on screen for that vid, which is hard to find eng subs for! Even when doing a search this one by Lyndaek99 doesn't usually pull up!! Anyway..... Thank you so much again!! 🙏🙏🙏❤️💜👍😍
AJJ was right on - the boys are all from cities outside of Seoul, the big city. Jin and Joon are from right outside of Seoul but the rest are from “countryside” cities and, like most teens all over the world who are in small towns, they want to get out so they “run and run”. But these boys are now realizing the cities that raised them are home and something to be proud of. There’s an explainer video but not by DKDKDTV, I can’t recall who but I’ll look for it and post it here as a reply.
I don’t know if anyone has told you this but .. Agust D is basically Suga written backwards and he added “T” for "town" and “D” for "Daegu" which was the city he was born and raised in. He was also apart of an underground rap group before BTS called D-Town. So now we have Min Yoongi, Suga, and Agust D❤️
this song is lit because they're all so proud of their cities and regions that they're from!! all of them came to seoul and was new to the city but they still paid their respects to where they came from! LOVE THIS SONG
ALL of the HYYH concert performances are amazing, especially with the live band. Every time I listen to this i have to replay Hobi's verse, it gets better and better after each listen.
Just my interpretation, but they all had to leave their hometowns and move to Seoul to chase their dreams. When they say they “ran for a long time” I think it refers to chasing dreams, like they are chasing/running toward something and that meant away from where they were out of necessity and ambition. But this song is them looking back and appreciating their roots, their hometowns, where they came from and the place and people who made them who they are today, never forgetting. V once said ‘to never look back because usually people only do that and think of regrets’. He said ‘only look back when you want to appreciate how far you’ve come’. (I think he said it in a livestream but it might have been in burn the stage documentary, sorry I don’t have a source to link but it was a few years ago). This song is them looking back to see how far they’ve come and to think of precious memories and pride of their roots, and definitely not to regret. I think it’s one of the most underrated bts songs! It’s funny because I was literally talking about this last week so when I saw your video I clicked on it so fast! I’m glad you guys appreciated the message of the lyrics.
This was a fire performance! I love the rock sound of this with those live instruments and I wish we could have seen the musicians going off! Above them were the names of their hometowns written in Korean. They are definitely making their cities PROUD!! 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
And the high note from Jimin. When I heard this thru headphones I might have screamed a little bit....People on the bus may have moved away with weary and cautious stares....👁️💜
HYYH is my favorite concert dvd. You should watch the whole concert. Get ready for the real concert. I know you got tickets so prepare yourself! They go hard and it’s so much fun.
Boyz with Fun at the HYYH concert is one of their best live performances ever. It's just them being total rockstars/crackheads on stage. Phenomenal. Please check it out!
YES. I don't know why but they had V do a freestyle in the middle of it and everyone else (including the backup dancers) had to repeat it. And this being Tae his dances were goofy as hell. 😂 Here's the live: ruclips.net/video/q1ceQDEDkys/видео.html And here's the freestyle compilation: ruclips.net/video/vEhTFsNy_ng/видео.html
The goofball at the 10:30 mark of your video wiggling around is none other than J-HOPE!! He is dancing in the window that has his City name above it!! ^-^
I love this song and performance. I'm still a baby army and I love so many of their songs but I think I listened to only this song for about 3 weeks straight. I think it's often overlooked so thank you for reacting to it. I really miss their performances with a live band.
elle raine, I'm right with you. This is one of my favorites for sure. At certain times I could listen to it on repeat all day. When that beat drops in the intro.. Man. And I absolutely love this particular performance. 💜
something i realized about this song was that it reminds me (sonically) A LOT of kendrick's "i" , especially j hopes part. Like you could take the beats from those two songs and switch the lyrics and it'd sound perfect
I think its important to realise that this song was released in 2015. They released 'The Most Beautiful Moments Part 2' in a really difficult time for them. They were so close in disbanding, and overall were in such a dark place with hate coming from all sides. It really was just BTS and Army who had each other's backs. So the fact that those words have so much meaning now, is just extra special. They've always rep their cities and regions. Which is unconventional for 'Idols'. Thats why BTS is so special because they're country boys from korea, who never forgot where they came from
@0:50 Blaze, that sounds like the whole town.. LOL Ma City is one of my fave BTS songs. Bangtan were talking about their hometown. If they were from my hometown I would sure be proud of them.
Jennifer Smith Isn’t Tae from Geochang tho? He was just born in Daegu but that’s the Goechang is like country side town so saying Daegu is easier cause it’s the biggest nearby
@@silversaturns he did live in Daegu too. He actually studied kindergarten and high school in Daegu. Although, he often calls Geochang as his hometown since he lived there longer.
Hobi's lyrics in this are really very important. 5/18 is a very important day in Korea, it’s the day the pro-democracy movement (518 Democratic Uprising) began in 1980 in the city Gwangju. Hobi sings ”Dial it up 062-518" - 062 is the Gwangju area code and 518 refers to the date of the uprising. Gwangju natives have since suffered from some prejudice and "blame" from certain quarters of Korean society for the upheaval despite the fact the uprising resulted in a fairer society for many (there is also a historical prejudice against people from the state that Gwangju is in). It is a risky thing for an idol to talk about political issues like this, but Hobi did. He has always been incredibly proud of his Gwangju heritage.
This song and “satoori rap” (also by BTS) are the must culturally infused songs I’ve ever heard by any kpop artist. Like the way they proudly flaunt what their cities have given to them, the history of their hometowns, it’s all **chef’s kiss** 😘💜
its crazy how seriously talented every member is. Each one could go solo and have widely successful careers on their own. Together....its only given they'd conquer the world.
I don't know if anyone has mentioned it, but Jung Hoseok was praised and hailed by the people of Gwangju as the Son of Gwangju especially because he mentioned the Gwangju Uprising, a historical significance to the people of Gwangju, in his part of the rap lyric. The number 518 at the end refers to May 18, in 1980, the date of the Uprising. He is definitely the pride of his city.😇 This is one of my faves I like to jive to.💜😄
It's J-hope guys!. he has unique sound so army know it's him but of course we understand that you did not get that right away. Fighting! Someday you can recognize them even their sneeze😂
I’m surprised nobody mentioned just like, their overall presence on stage. this has always been one of my favorite performances and it literally kills me knowing that they probably won’t bring it back to tours and I won’t be able to see them perform this live. Watching them have choreographed routines is always stunning, but just watching them interact with the music and the audience so powerfully is so so so cool to watch. Literally my favorite thing about the performance.
D S I loved Busan when I was there. I got the x a lot when I tried to go in different places but it was an awesome experience and I agree it’s a different vibe. I was there in 2009.
Blaze was totally on point when he said that our bias is the member that we feel the strongest connection wth but we ARMY will ALWAYS support and love ALL 7 amazing boys because each and every one of them is special. With BTS, the whole is indeed greater than the sum of its parts - cannot imagine not having even one of them in that team.
This song has always been a bop. This one and Paldogangsan... aka Satori Rap. The original version was done Pre-debut by Rapline, but they changed it a bit like they did with this song and all members have performed this on show champion and a few other live stages. Personally I love the dance practice, and you should check out the explained... ya know what, I'm just going to link this stuff lo : Paldogangsan Live : ruclips.net/video/pKLAI1H4QFk/видео.html Paldogangsan Dance practice: ruclips.net/video/Vi6-zq3YuEg/видео.html Paldogangsan Explained By DKDKTV: ruclips.net/video/l48zU1h00jw/видео.html I admit I didn't look to make sure you didn't react to it yet, but I'm too behind on your vids and I haven't seen it there so I hope you get around to this. 💜
This live performance (and song in general) NEVER fails to get me pumped up. Yall weren't lying, J-Hope is absolutely the hero of this song (and I'm not saying that bc of my bias either lol-if you understand some of the history references behind the last couple bars in his verse, you'll see his lyrics are the deepest here as well as him spitting the hardest), but EVERYONE completely crushes it in a big way. Their other hometown pride song, Paldogangsan (aka Satoori Rap), is super awesome as well (and is a lyrical masterpiece and more of a unique cultural statement), but this one is the king bop in my opinion. Nico, you pronounced Daegu AWESOMELY! 💯💯💯 Suga seriously goes hard for Daegu every chance he gets. I think most ARMYs know he has the biggest amount of hometown pride in the group. The Busan boys (JK and Jimin) and J-Hope are right on his heels, though. While Suga is the one who shouts out his hometown the most in his music (and, as you know, even partially named himself after Daegu for his solo career), JK and Jimin are the ones who are constantly speaking in their local Busan dialect* (the Korean term for local dialect is "satoori") no matter where they are. Meanwhile, J-Hope is known for donating large amounts of money to causes in Gwangju, his hometown, as well as frequently shouting out Gwangju and his old local dance crew, Neuron. Back in 2016, J-Hope and Suga decided to make themselves into a sub-unit for comedy purposes and named themselves "Sope" (as in Suga + Hope; it's what all ARMYs call them as a duo now). They occasionally do Sope VLives together, which they always call "Hwagae Market," and this name also refers to their hometowns. Daegu is in the province of Gyeongsang, and Gwangju is in the province of Jeolla; these two provinces have historically had political tension, but along the border between them, there is a peaceful countryside market called Hwagae Market where anyone from either province can meet and shop comfortably while putting aside their differences. By using this name, Suga and J-Hope not only crack a joke about the two of them being opposites who come together for a fun time, but they also make themselves into symbols of national peace as youths and set an example to follow. (The song Paldogangsan has a very similar message.) * In Korea, dialects (satoori) are a little more dramatic than slang. If someone speaks in very thick satoori, a person from another province may not be able to understand them at all. Satoori not only involves accents, tonal differences, and slang, but can include high amounts of different vocabulary. The most famously difficult satoori to understand for most Koreans is the satoori from Jeju, which is an island province (mega beautiful). My dad actually lived on Jeju for two years while serving in the Peace Corps in the '70s. Idols and other media figures are generally trained to speak in standard (Seoul) dialect at all times while on the job. Some people are better at this than others. RM and Jin, having been born in cities relatively close to Seoul, grew up speaking the standard dialect (RM) or something very close to it (Jin), so they basically have the "no accent" accent. Suga and J-Hope tend to be careful about being professional, so they're rarely caught on camera slipping into satoori unless 1] it's on purpose or 2] they just got back from home (which is super cute). When V was younger, he used satoori a lot more while on camera, but not so much as he's grown older. He's gotten more professional, hahaha. JK and Jimin, though... lmao. They LOVE to bust out the Busan dialect whenever they feel like it. It's partly because Busan satoori sounds very macho and intimidating, so they use it for comedic effect in ridiculous situations. Otherwise? Sometimes they just don't care! 😂 Go them! I love hearing the boys speak like they're right at home.
Hi, guys! I just wanted to point out, most of the songs you've reacted to have been 2017-2020 releases. Ma City was released in 2015 and, in my opinion, is a very BTS song in style and structure. It was in that year when they started to seriously stretch their style to incorporate other genres into their usual hip-hop/R&B base. Also, it wasn't really that they decided it was time to acknowledge their hometowns. They'd been doing that since the beginning. Even pre-debut, the 3 rappers made the news for writing a song where they not only shout out their home provinces but also rap in their regional dialects. In general, their older music may not boast their current killer production quality but it still shows BTS' essence: undeniable melodies and thoughtful lyrics.
you are finally getting to the older stuff that shaped our boys .... so many things to listen still ... Jump, Satoori Rap, We are Bulletproof pt.1, We on ....
@@WhatchaGot2Say You guys wil absolutely L O V E Hip-Hop Lover (also known as Hip-Hop-Phile). Can't wait for that one. The live performances are so great. Do NOT forget the lyrics on that one.
OH MY GOD, YES!!!!!! Thank you for this! That song is so underrated and I SWEAR it's like one of my favorite songs by them. It's phenomenal and it always gets me. Plus it's hype asf!
I may be late but they are talking about their hometown since they are living now in Seoul which is the main city(capital) in south Korea. No members born in seoul so they made a song where they are proud where they came from: RM - iLSAN City JIN - Gwacheon SUGA - Daegu City JHope- Gwangju Jimin - Busan City V - Daegu City JK- Busan City (it was written in Korean at the back tho) Ps: pls react to Miss Right song live !!! Its also different from their song now
BTS have a live band called 'GHOST' they always perform with them like in this concert and in almost every concert you can see them they post it many time in their Instagram playing live with the boys they are so cool
This is an older song, you should put these song in chronological order. Hearing older stuff after the newer song sometimes throws you off but if you see them in order you can see the growth and progression of their music. They are sing about the cities where they are from.
Sure dionysus has something But boy with love, fake love, make it right ect I would listen to paradise, 13034, ma city, jump danger 10 times over those newer ones
@@bta7658 Umm... You do realise 134340 and Paradise (who you say are older songs) are from the same album as Fake Love (which you say is a new song) right? So you're admitting that their newer songs are just as good as their old ones since half of the songs you listed are recent. BTS has a great new and old songs, they experiment with different genres so it's natural not to like all of them, but the quality of their songs haven't changed and production is even better (even newer songs I don't listen to much because they're not my typical genre, I can appreciate their lyrics and improved level of production since they have a bigger budget now)
I can no longer find the extended version of this performance on YT, but just wanted to add that this performance was done with a live band. Right after the song (where this video ended) BTS went to each band member and gave them all a special shout-out (introduced each of them to the audience and let them show off their individual instrumental talents). You don't often get to see the band in the background getting a lot of recognition during performances, so I was really touched when BTS did that and by how much BTS appreciate the people they work with.
i remember when it was a day before hyyh pt.2 (the mini album that ma city is a part of) was gonna release, bighit had done a special event of putting ma city on their website for anyone to listen starting 24 hours before the album dropped and listening to it for the first time took me OUT, it's a headbanger
god you should see them performing 2nd grade and attack on bangtan live, seeing them running around and hyping each other up is priceless, it really shows their stage presence
Great reaction guys. I found out about them 5 years ago and J-Hope was my bias with six bias wreckers. Now my biases are RM, Jin, Suga, Jimin, V and Jungkook. J-Hope is my ultimate bias.😏😉
I love the way they fused rock n' roll with rap... The music kinda has a vibe like punk band "The Clash". Whatcha all think. The vibe is good and different and most of all it's lit!
This song is one of the first songs that I heard from BTS and I love it. I play it when I am cleaning and I have fun and dance and sing. It just get me hyped. 💜💜💜💜
JHope's part was basically banned from being performed on TV because he makes reference to the Gwangju (7th province) Uprising (5-18 May 18). This is only just being spoken about in Korea, a new inquiry into what happened has been opened in the last year. Virtually every family in the area lost someone in the Uprising (personally, I think it's why Hobi's dad has such sad eyes), so there's reasons Hobi is so passionate about it. There is a novel about it: Human Acts by Han Kang. One of the most powerful, sad, and yet hopeful stories I've ever read. Highly recommend.
I like BTS like this as well. I think they're the best no matter what but especially in concert and when they're feeling the songs and do have a live band behind them, it's just next level. ❤️
Their older music is very different from their most recent stuff and i think it would be interesting to see you guys explore it more! some of my favorites are whalien 52, look here, converse high, tomorrow, coffee, rain, if i ruled the world and jump. I love them with my whole entire heart but i got into them in 2014 so i have a special place in my heart for their older music which is what i think they excel at, i think you truly haven't listen to bts' true soul and essence as a group if you haven't listen to their older stuff yet
I feel like I always learn something new no matter how many times I’ve listened to their songs watching your reactions. Love the comment about the running from repping their city
Why blows my mind is that this was an encore performance!!! Like they just put on a full 2 hour show, but they still go THIS hard and pour every last bit out even to the end of the show!! Also I kinda fucking love whenever BTS performs hype songs that have no choreography. Because they have INCREDIBLE stage presence! No snazzy choreography needed. I know y’all are dancers and love the dance, I do too!! But I legit would still be as much a fan of them if they didn’t dance.
Ahhhhh this performance has so much energy and passion! An older gem! Fun facts: 1. Blaze is my Whatchagot2say bias. 2. I just got tickets to see BTS in May for the Map of the Soul Tour!! (First time ever seeing them live!)
Love your reaction. Sometimes, it makes me uncomfortable to wach if someone pretend to be a fake army. But, You all seem to enjoy BTS musics. So that makes me very happy. :)
this song hits differently knowing how so many people visit korea because of bts, we want to see where they come from. a lot of international armys go to concerts in seoul, it's a different experience!
from the first time I ever heard it til now, ma city has Always been my fav bts song... n I might be rm n suga biased but hobi's verse in this... WHEW one of his best for sure
Ma City is my most favorite BTS song and this is my most favorite BTS concert performance! i feel how so much pride they have in their hometowm and ARMYs knows how their hometown takes pride in them! BTS is the best! there's nothing like BTS! yes, BTS doesn't restrict themselves in any genre coz they're tgeir own genre as far as i'm concerned! you found this sort of "unBTS" type of music coz you didn't know them the way old ARMYs does so you're used to hearing their latest music. also, they're performing wih a live band fyi.
You guys should check out Suga and Jimin doing Tony Montana. It's a completely different side to jimin. Also I think you might like the concert version of Attack on Bangtan. The boys just go all in and it's great
Ma City is one of my fav b-side track This fun hyped song has a deep meaning for them and everyone who love their 'home' So thank you for reacting this 💜
It be nice if you check their music discography from the beginning-their pre-debut releases to their latest that you haven't check out yet. So you can see their evolution and growth. One song per reaction.
fun fact: the korean letters behind their back are actually the name of their hometowns ^^

And yoonki min
J-hope is fire when he's on stage and off stage he's our sunshine.
this song is lit because they're all so proud of their cities and regions that they're from!! all of them came to seoul and was new to the city but they still paid their respects to where they came from!
Just a candle Thank you for breaking down what you got from this song. Really insightful!
I totally agree with everything you said!!
Did you know that Suga always had pride for his hometown?
Fun fact: He included it in Agust D 😉
Agust D = Dt Suga
Dt is Daegu Town🤭
This was a fire performance! I love the rock sound of this with those live instruments and I wish we could have seen the musicians going off! Above them were the names of their hometowns written in Korean. They are definitely making their cities PROUD!! 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
And the high note from Jimin. When I heard this thru headphones I might have screamed a little bit....People on the bus may have moved away with weary and cautious stares....👁️💜
HYYH is my favorite concert dvd. You should watch the whole concert.
Get ready for the real concert. I know you got tickets so prepare yourself! They go hard and it’s so much fun.
michmoe85 Cannot wait!
Sameeeeee
HYYH is also still my fave era and album of them!! I can't get over it.
Boyz with Fun at the HYYH concert is one of their best live performances ever. It's just them being total rockstars/crackheads on stage. Phenomenal. Please check it out!
Oh my God, yes! Especially with Tae's freestyle part!
And then do the compilation of Tae's freestyle. That was my favourite thing.
YES. I don't know why but they had V do a freestyle in the middle of it and everyone else (including the backup dancers) had to repeat it. And this being Tae his dances were goofy as hell. 😂
Here's the live: ruclips.net/video/q1ceQDEDkys/видео.html
And here's the freestyle compilation: ruclips.net/video/vEhTFsNy_ng/видео.html
Also the fact it took Jhope for him to get hyped 😂❤️❤️❤️❤️
Ale Miranda Well ya know lol🤓
The goofball at the 10:30 mark of your video wiggling around is none other than J-HOPE!! He is dancing in the window that has his City name above it!! ^-^
I love this song and performance. I'm still a baby army and I love so many of their songs but I think I listened to only this song for about 3 weeks straight. I think it's often overlooked so thank you for reacting to it. I really miss their performances with a live band.
elle raine It was so unique 🤓
The live band is EVERYTHING! The bass in this song slaps so hard... UNGH!
elle raine, I'm right with you. This is one of my favorites for sure. At certain times I could listen to it on repeat all day. When that beat drops in the intro.. Man. And I absolutely love this particular performance. 💜
React to Attack On Bangtan - The Rise Of Bangtan Live On Stage by BTS please
Nico hyping JHOPE. YES MA BOY!!! 😂
Nico: Who ever that man is he's killing it
Adam: *whispers* bias bias
😂😂😂😂😂
something i realized about this song was that it reminds me (sonically) A LOT of kendrick's "i" , especially j hopes part.
LOL
Ma City is one of my fave BTS songs. Bangtan were talking about their hometown. If they were from my hometown I would sure be proud of them.
J-Hope's part was one of the most fun on-stage performances I've ever seen
V is from daegu too though. So twice the pride in one group
Yup. Tae and Yoongi are both from Daegu just like Kookie and Jimin are from Busan(:
Jennifer Smith Isn’t Tae from Geochang tho? He was just born in Daegu but that’s the Goechang is like country side town so saying Daegu is easier cause it’s the biggest nearby
@@silversaturns Yeah he said hes from Geochang in a Knowing bros episode
@@silversaturns he did live in Daegu too. He actually studied kindergarten and high school in Daegu. Although, he often calls Geochang as his hometown since he lived there longer.

@@WhatchaGot2Say "If I Ruled The World" it's from their album "Oh! are U L8, 2?"
try boys with fun too (comeback stage) , their older songs are underrated but they are great.
WhatchaGot2Say it’s their song
Its really important to acknowledge that they give historical lessons sometimes if you listen carefully
This song and “satoori rap” (also by BTS) are the must culturally infused songs I’ve ever heard by any kpop artist.
Like the way they proudly flaunt what their cities have given to them, the history of their hometowns, it’s all **chef’s kiss** 😘💜
I'm going with Word ta ya Mutha! As it is the Way hers catch phrase of the day
its crazy how seriously talented every member is.
He is definitely the pride of his city.😇
This is one of my faves I like to jive to.💜😄
Dear Nico.
It is J-Hope who was rapping and he killed that!
It is also J-hope who was vibing🤭🤭
"bias, my bias" I felt that.
It's J-hope guys!. he has unique sound so army know it's him but of course we understand that you did not get that right away. Fighting! Someday you can recognize them even their sneeze😂
Rose JeonJungKimMinPark Lol I figured out it was him when I watched it the second time🤓
@@WhatchaGot2Say You can now watch their Black Swan Dance practice 😁
J-Hope spittin that hot fire! Lol
Literally my favorite thing about the performance.
i like to describe them like this.
Suga-Jimin-Jk-V from New york NJ
RM from Colorado
Jin from Northern Cali
Jhope from Georgia
D S Me and Adam basically grew up in Georgia! It was meant to be 😬
I wouldnt compare Busan to NY though 😅 The vibe is totes different. But interesting comparison :)
Personally I love the dance practice, and you should check out the explained... ya know what, I'm just going to link this stuff lo :

@@csichic11 Ah good idea and thank you for providing those links for them 💜
the power of bts indeed! making you like the sounds and genre you're not used to..THAT IS THE BTS GENRE!!
(The song Paldogangsan has a very similar message.)
* In Korea, dialects (satoori) are a little more dramatic than slang.
React to BTS - HipHop Lover please, you are going to love it

OH MY GOD, YES!!!!!! Thank you for this! That song is so underrated and I SWEAR it's like one of my favorite songs by them. It's phenomenal and it always gets me. Plus it's hype asf!
Yeaaaaassssss 🥰
I may be late but they are talking about their hometown since they are living now in Seoul which is the main city(capital) in south Korea. No members born in seoul so they made a song where they are proud where they came from:
RM - iLSAN City
JIN - Gwacheon
SUGA - Daegu City
JHope- Gwangju
Jimin - Busan City
V - Daegu City
JK- Busan City
(it was written in Korean at the back tho)
Ps: pls react to Miss Right song live !!!
I still like bts earlier songs better than the newer stuff
Sure dionysus has something
But boy with love, fake love, make it right ect
I would listen to paradise, 13034, ma city, jump danger 10 times over those newer ones
I hope all of you go to their concert.
i remember when it was a day before hyyh pt.2 (the mini album that ma city is a part of) was gonna release, bighit had done a special event of putting ma city on their website for anyone to listen starting 24 hours before the album dropped
and listening to it for the first time took me OUT, it's a headbanger
MA CITY WILL FOREVER BE ONE OF MY FAVORITE SONGS, ALWAYS GETS ME HYPED

i just love ma city, there's something about it. loved the reaction :)
Ma City one of my favorites of many favorites the energy off the chain ❤️😍😘💋😁 heart and soul you can feel it big ups to BTS
Big ups to BTS
BTS shine the most when they dress casually and performed wild & freely on stage 💜

I think it’s still my favorite Performance ever by bts so honest and heartfelt
god you should see them performing 2nd grade and attack on bangtan live, seeing them running around and hyping each other up is priceless, it really shows their stage presence
The vibe is good and different and most of all it's lit!
i love ma city.. becoz they speaking about their roots and land...i never tired of listening to this song of them..long live bts..love you 4ever
What to when all of them are your bias!!!! The way I see it, put them all togethe, they make the perfect human being, Love them all.
This song is one of the first songs that I heard from BTS and I love it. I play it when I am cleaning and I have fun and dance and sing. It just get me hyped. 💜💜💜💜
they recently played this song live again and i went crazy, i love it too much
There one BTS masters of Dance. J- hope you are so talented and confident and humble which makes even greater
2015 BTS was still lit as hell!! 🔥🔥🔥
This is also the highkey PALDOGANGSAN. Have u seen it guys?
The era where growling taehyung and rapper junkook exist.yeah
This song is underrated. I love hearing their dialects and representing their hometowns

MA CITY IS LITERALLY ONE OF MY MOST FAVORITE SONGS
BTS are legends because they can give it to us any way we want it!
I love your channel your the only one who genuinely is a bts army and your not using them for clout I seriously love that 💕
It’s cool to hear them go back to their real and raw style. Sometimes removing the polish raises the performance and powers the message.

V's deep/gravelly voice seems like it could be so suited to doing more rock type of songs!
Ok but we have to give props to V for that lalalalalla and that ma city role...he killed it with all his sole
I also like seeing them just sing on stage than worrying about choreography all the time. It’s always refreshing to see
I just remember until Mic Drop this was my favorite live performance for like 2 and a half years straight!
