fun fact! bts sound better live than studio. comeback show is like an hour-long show on a channel with new performances to celebrate comeback. this show was called highlight reel, there's another called DNA (I think some others). now instead of comeback shows they just do countdown lives beforehand, comeback lives after, and a big performance at some award show like bbmas or amas etc
Hey, sorry, but the comeback show is just a thing the different national channels do in Korea. Usually it's just a "stage" where a group performs one or two songs from their new album on each music countdown show (Mcountdown, KBS, etc), but when BTS started hitting it big, Mcountdown gave them their own one hour show. This is COMPLETELY different than the vlives that BTS do as a Countdown show for each album.

Another cool thing about this comeback, when they were performing anpanman is sometimes their costumes were reminiscent of the uniforms worn by garbage men and other city workers that had jobs that were considered less dignified. In this they were saying that these everyday heroes, the garbage men and people who help do the low jobs that keep our cities and towns going are also heroes and that their service is noble. It's so cool how they lift up everybody and encourage everyone to give of themselves and service even Even to the point of sacrifice. They're encouraging everyone to understand that they can make a difference in their community and in their relationships. They can be an everyday hero even though they're imperfect and have their own weaknesses and limitations. They say that using those limitations and imperfections and weaknesses is just an excuse a cop out. Instead serving how we can, giving how we can and living to help others and show love can make even the smallest life noble and even the weakest person a hero.
Anpanman is a Japanese superhero! the lyrics of the song are very deep and dark in contrast to the upbeat and fun song and choreo. which is something that bts are very good at, making songs with an upbeat and happy music but with very dark and sad lyrics (see: their entire discography lmao and especially their newest album, BE). as for my request, which ive been saying for a while now (>:() is please do a reaction to their intros! they're the members solos and i believe they'll make it easier for you two to distinguish between the members voices and faces! plus, they're really amazing and deep and meaningful.

watching this in between my BTS binge, and thank you for respecting BTS and Army by not releasing a reaction right away you guys are amazing! There's already a lot of info about Anpanman but I just wanted to add that they dressed up like civil service workers to pretty much say that those workers are the new generation super heros, and they performed this recently as homage to the health care workers and other people working during Covid. Another cool thing about this comeback, when they were performing anpanman is sometimes their costumes were reminiscent of the uniforms worn by garbage men and other city workers that had jobs that were considered less dignified. In this they were saying that these everyday heroes, the garbage men and people who help do the low jobs that keep our cities and towns going are also heroes and that their service is noble. It's so cool how they lift up everybody and encourage everyone to give of themselves and service even Even to the point of sacrifice. They're encouraging everyone to understand that they can make a difference in their community and in their relationships. They can be an everyday hero even though they're imperfect and have their own weaknesses and limitations. They say that using those limitations and imperfections and weaknesses is just an excuse a cop out. Instead serving how we can, giving how we can and living to help others and show love can make even the smallest life noble and even the weakest person a hero.

Anpanman is a Japanese superhero! the lyrics of the song are very deep and dark in contrast to the upbeat and fun song and choreo. which is something that bts are very good at, making songs with an upbeat and happy music but with very dark and sad lyrics (see: their entire discography lmao and especially their newest album, BE).

watching this in between my BTS binge, and thank you for respecting BTS and Army by not releasing a reaction right away you guys are amazing! There's already a lot of info about Anpanman but I just wanted to add that they dressed up like civil service workers to pretty much say that those workers are the new generation super heros, and they performed this recently as homage to the health care workers and other people working during Covid. BTS puts so much though into their performances its heartwarming

BTS really goes, takes all the styles and uses them to their anxhas making them look so beautiful and happy according to what they want to extresar, this song is beautiful and such a beautiful energy is received from it that one wants to dance and chant it, that is, it makes you happy the heart, how can you not love BTS?
It's important to remember too that this song came out when BTS was also putting out their documentary series burn the stage and bring the soul. In these documentary movies and series they showed the behind the scenes and pulled back the curtains for army. They showed their imperfections and the cost physically and emotionally mentally socially of touring and being idols. They were really showing army that they weren't truly perfect But that they chose to give of themselves in performance and music and live a life with these pressures and problems as an idol because they love to perform and make music and believe that they can give strength and comfort and inspiration to others. It may cost them just like It costs anpanman his strength whenever he takes some of his donut head and gives it to the hungry and weak But it's worth it and he's able to go back to his creator/father Baker and be restored to to help again.

Anpanman” is a fun, upbeat song that was inspired by the cartoon character and red bean bread hero of the same name. Anpanman was the main character in a picture book series by Japanese cartoonist Takashi Yanase. The series was turned into an animated cartoon series and has been airing on Japan’s NTV since 1988. It was also popular in Korea in the 1990s.
Anpanman is a red bean bread man and the world’s weakest hero. He doesn’t have any superpowers like Batman or Superman, but is a kind hero who helps those in need and gives to hungry people pieces of his face, which is made out of red bean bread. If Batman and Superman are star heroes that can fly anywhere in a flash, Anpanman is a bourgeoisie hero who is always nearby and stays by your side for a long time.
BTS compare themselves to the character Anpanman. The artists said they wanted to convey their desire to give people hope through their music and performances in the song. By comparing themselves to not the world’s strongest hero, but the world’s weakest hero, BTS stays true to their message with the idea that rather than being a hero just because you’re strong, you can be a hero even if you’re weak.
This may be the key point of “Love Yourself: Tear.” This album, which says that loving yourself is the start of true love, is not just talking about the part of you that is strong and that you’re satisfied with. Those kinds of people may try to fool themselves into thinking, “I don’t want to be a superhero, I’m cool as it is.” However, if you look at the lyrics of “Anpanman,” they accept the fact that, “Being a really cool hero is my fantasy, but I’m not a superhero.” In the attitude of wanting to become a superhero and honestly admitting that you’re not one, you can feel self-esteem and self-love.
This is BTS’s way of comforting others. They don’t warn others, “Don’t try to be a big superhero,” don’t tell lies such as, “I don’t want to be a superhero,” and don’t become discouraged but rather say, “I’m not a superhero but a human with nothing special.”
“I’m a new generation Anpanman/ I’m a new superhero Anpanman” may be the lyrics that shine the most in the song. By announcing, “I’m a new superhero,” it gives the key to self-love and says that a weak hero is still a hero.
BTS is saying, “I’m Anpanman, the world’s weakest hero, and weak heroes are heroes too. I’m a new kind of superhero.” It’s a cool conclusion full of sincerity.
Like the lyrics, “Waiting for you Anpanman/ Will you muster up a bit more strength/ I’ll be your strength,” BTS follows the model of Anpanman who has nothing to offer to others, so gives them a part of his face (red bean bread). He’s a hero of a new generation, unlike Batman who is powerful and skillful.
Although Anpanman may be a hero full of mistakes and struggles, he knows that he’s the result of a baker who tried his best to create him, so he can confidently say that he’s a hero. Anpanman is a hero who may be soft, but certainly not weak.
When i first watched this MV my thoughts were that they are talking about everyday heros. Because of the way they dressed on this stage: firefighter, policemen, „street-workers“ (i don’t know the english word. orange fits with reflective stripes), etc
