Hezbollah released a ten minute video from their drones covering northern Israel which raises some concerns about the air defense network in that portion of the country. We have new reports pushing back on famine conditions in Gaza and how Israeli intelligence may have known details about October 7th before it happened. Finally we look at ongoing operations in Rafah and the Houthis sunk another ship in the Red Sea.

Wow ten mins after release? Thanks for all the good work you and the team are doing. It is greatly appreciated.
Also, An earlier UN report, regarding famine in Gaza, only counted specifically UN aid trucks in their numbers of daily trucks entering Gaza. The report conveniently leaves off all of the trucks from other NGO’s and private organizations
You'll need a little thing called proof of that claim.

@@PrestonStewart the whole famine thing is over played considering thousands of cal. are coming in daily per person with aid. Maybe hamas is stealing alot of it but it certainly is not israels foalt

"UAV" used to sound cool 15 years ago. Now in most cases, it just means a cheap drone.
Kinda like IED
My favorite is the US military's continuing inability to use common terminology and just say "Drone" instead of "Small Unmanned Aircraft System (SUAS)".
9:11 250 trucks per day? Contradicts reports that during May there was on average 58 trucks per day. Big difference.
If you count only UN trucks you can get smaller number than the real one
Several flights makes this more concerning because it indicates multiple incursions into the territory

You do know that Israel has full control of the ports for decades. This is the exact reason why people say this didn’t start on Oct 7th
You are right. That blockade only began after hamas tossed the political opposition off of buildings and had a coup in Gaza. So, it started with hamas in 2005.

in Israel, many say that it was most likely quadcopters launched from inside Israel by people siding with hezballah and just sent them the footages
Assuming most of the quadcopters manufactured DJI (Chinese company) and have closed software. I would not be surprised, that the drone operators were not even aware, the footage has been sent somewhere.

personally i doubt that hypothesis

Fun fact: Since Oct 7th, cigarette prices in Gaza went up so much, that it now costs up to 2000 ILS (over 500 USD) for just a pack as a result of the blockade from Egypt. The only way cigarettes can get into Gaza is through smuggling it in concealed aid shipments, which the main reason so much aid are hijacked, discarded and destroyed. Heck, the amount of aid sitting at the Rafah border refused to be picked up and distributed by the UN just comes to show how much they are trying to cover up both the crimes of Hamas and their inability to do their job properly.
Not UN as a whole. Just the UNRWA part of UN, is trying to cover up.
Why do the humanitarian organizations keep claiming that the idf don't let them in or provide support then
@@atomica0914 What part of this are you oblivious about? To cover up the crimes Hamas is commiting, obviously. And do you know what interest do they have in doing so? The fact that one of their most significant "humanitarian" agencies, UNWRA, has been a major part of their charade in perpetuating nothing but hate, revenge and the refugee status of the Palestinians since their establishment 1949. This has been always the case despite having more than enough time, resources and help to build a beautiful country by the sea.

I always wondered about the famine statements, if you analyse them closely, the always mentioned some time from famine. i.e. "two/few weeks from famine".
It makes no sense in a place that relies on daily rations of supply, as they will forever be "few weeks from famine" if that supply stops coming. Gaza was never self sustaining.
During covid it was mentioned that Israel has stockpiles of food for two weeks. In case muslims in Jordan, Egypt and Lebanon will prevent food from entering Israel via land crossings and ports there will be no food in Israel in two weeks. So I guess we need to declare a state of emergency bacause Israel is two weeks from famine

What a crappy nation.
The FMV from this drone does not look like the payload is actively controlled which could mean that the drone was sent on a pre-programmed route and therefore flying "silent". That is dangerous unto itself as their is no RF energy to advertise the drones presence. The upside, is that the drone can't provide "real-time" ISR against dynamic areas of interest. So it is only going to be useful in looking at static points if/when the drone makes it back to its point of origin. None the less, this is still a C-sUAS threat that has not been mitigated.
What hints helped you come up with that conclusion?
@@ateampossible The first was the position the payload appeared to be stuck in. It doesn’t appear to move or pan as if it is being manipulated by a person or the autopilot. The second was when the aircraft appears to change heading, the payload stayed static and was “dragged” along with drone until it was flying straight and level. I suspect it was a fixed wing platform with a camera mounted in the center fuselage angled down and to the right slightly. Just an assessment though.
My boy Preston always with the great reporting!
I love good analysis! Thx for the good work.
Odd the Iranian frigate was there observing the drone activity during the Houthis field testing the Iranian drones?
My bet, this Drone did not originate from Lebanon but was flown by a Hezbollah agent within Israel and the footage sent to them afterwards. Would also explain why it was not picked up earlier.

Does anybody have a link to a map of all the tunnels found in Gaza, there must be one but I cant find it
I doubt it has sense to publish such information. Let's imagine you are a hamas militant that sat for months in your tunnel and you need to go to another one. So you just open such map and check which one of those tunnels that you know wasn't yet discovered
@@l_kFF valid point but I sure would like to see some indication of all these 100's of tunnels that have been destroyed. Reality is I suspect Hamas would know which tunnels are still unfound
@@campbellmorrison8540 if they are able to communicate between them. Idf claims that thy don't fight as one force, but fight on their own as small groups of few people. Mainly because they don't have communications between them, many commanders were killed and they were the only one who knew how to communicate with other cells
Sounds like they need to come up with listening devices that can be dropped from planes/helicopter that will stick in the ground a couple feet and can detect vibration and sound of a tunnel being dug by machine or hand.
You have forgotten about one small detail - there is a war. Sounds from explosions can be heard 5 km away. Any sound from a tunnel that is being dug 100 feet under the ground will be more silent than man's voice. Israel does have sensors on the borders that go deep and listen for that noise deep inside
I was curios of these remote exploded type scenarios. Seems to me they would be jamming the signal to not allow the camera to transmit the video. Wouldn't have to be the whole city, just where the IDF was operating. Seems a strong RF signal would do it. I recall the Allies/Germans being able to locate radios if he transmitted back in WWII. Also blocking cell signals. Limit commuications. Just an arm chair idiot here. Thank you Preston, getting really difficult to find accurate information.
Jamming works against cellular, wifi, etc., but it won't do any good if the enemy just ran a long wire to the cameras & detonators
The Iranian ship was probably relaying locations to the naughty people in Yemen..
Yeah maybe... That is a very important consideration.
The drone I use doesn’t have to come back and land to get the video off it. These videos pieced too can all be from drones that were shot down
Israelis officials came out and already admitted that these drones were not shot down 💀💀. Their excuse was they didn’t want to have the remains of the air defence missile and drone to fall over the city. I guess they’ll never use the air defence systems over any of their cities if that’s the case 🤨🧐

Lol. The images were taken with a foam fixed wing plane. One can tell by the movement of the unstabilised footage plus not much to bounce of radar wise except battery pac etc. This is hobbyist level.
Yeah maybe, but if the Ukrainians are using similarly primitive tech to great effect this probably isn’t a threat for Israel to take lightly.
wow. Israelis were penetrated by a hobbyist!
We don't know which kind of drones they've used. A DJI Maverick would be able to fly all the way from the border of Lebanon to Haifa, a DJI Mini 3 Pro would be able to fly to Nahariyyah. I'm not sure if the standard controllers would be strong enough to reach all that way. However, there are larger standard drones that easily would be able to fly this distance and flying high enough (and they seem to be pretty high), they wouldn't be noticed easily.
The main thing I got out of this was that I don't need to be that concerned, if I decide to go out with my own drone 😄
DJI won't fly there. They use their own map with areas prohibited to enter. It also can crash because of GPS jamming.
@@l_kFF
Two things: I'm not saying that their drones are DJI, I doubt it. I'm illustrating that small drones can easily fly the distance from the border to Haifa. Small drones can be difficult to observe.
2: It's easy to override DJI's maps. You also can't trust their limitations, they're not based on local air traffic regulations.
Regarding GPS jamming, that only works if they're relying on gps and don't use other methods, for example video feed. Clearly they managed to fly their drones around in Israel, even though Israel is actively using GPS mapping (if you live in Israel you're not in doubt that that's the case).
This means we have all the coordinance for every target and no need for GPS.
love the sad smirk on your face
The video is also wildy sped up (look at the cars driving, people walking etc.). Maybe 4X+? That has to be the slowest flying drone in the world. I am betting it's a balloon.
I doubt that Hamas really cares about the average Gazan.
Hamas doesn’t care, they knew what would happen after Oct 7th.
I feel for the average Gazan citizen, and I hope they realize that the current conflict was engineered by Hamas.
They either don't care due to ideology or can't care because of fear. Doesn't help that the UN constantly supports Hamas.

Through history resistance forces prioritize the mission over civilians. For example, French resistance in German occupied France let civilians be executed by the Germans for “crimes” the resistance committed rather than come forward. At the end of the war the resistance wasn’t tried, the occupier was.
Preston, we relied too much on intelligence and technology and not enough on force posture/logistics.
Why can't this be just normal FPV drones, recording from inside Israel?
Like that time a young guy (Mathias Rust ) flew a Cessna to red square Moscow, from Finland ; what air defense? 1987
If I may come with some feedback to the first story of the video, perhaps a simple and crude translation of all the Arabic writing in the drone video, or any other foreign text, would have been nice? No need to hire any translators, just simple Google Translate with the accompanying warning that it is just a Google translated translation should there be any minor mistakes. I always feel a little bit lost watching videos with writing in another language. Not too sure how much work it would be to do this but I can't imagine it would be too much.
Other than that, great video! Appreciate all your coverage.
There are some folks still talking about how "we knew" about the Pearl Harbor attack before it happened.
Hind sight is 20/20
6:53 they don’t need a lot of food, they call it fasting it’s just rationing.
Something that I heard that is worth keeping in mind is: these evaluations on aid coming in vs food needs do not account for any food production from inside the gaza strip, including things like bread and any imported products to make it, which is still getting into gaza. In other words, only food specificly in "aid trucks" is being counted.
4 or 5 different flights getting through would be even worse than just one getting through…
4 or 5 out of hundreds. The percentage is low.
If 4 or 5 drones got thru, then that would demonstrate that Israeli anti air is not working that great?. Even in the earlier days.
Looks like the truth has got his breaches on
So isn’t the Iranian Frigate in some sort of violation for not responding to a distress call / medical emergency from that civilian ship?? Sounds like to me that was the ship that was hosting the drone boat strike. Coincidence it was the closest ship to the incident… 🤨

Preston, didn’t Columbia University make a statement that Israel is contributing a suitable quantity of aid? Just saw the article yesterday. But now the UN wants to back out of Gaza due to increased Gaza gangs and violence. 🤷🏻♂️
I think it's worth mentioning that these drones, based on how fast they're moving and the height they're flying at, are most likely purely civilian drones like a DJI Mavic or something similar and while, as Ukraine has taught us, they can still be an effective weapon, I think a lot of people expect these to be Predator drones or something similar, and they sped up the footage to help with that illusion. This is most likely footage pieced together by someone working for Hezbollah visiting Israel or living there and launching a drone as many other tourists would do.

This was stated by Haviv Retig Gur on the podcast “Call Me Back”.israelis saw what Palestinians do when given land. And they are no longer willing to put up with rocket attacks and constant sirens. They know the lack of war isn’t peace, it enemy preparations. They’ve had enough.

Preston, per the drone over Haifa. There’s 15 miles between Haifa and the Lebanon border so it’s not hard for the drone to evade air defense for that long. You kept saying Haifa was further into Israel BUT it is not! It’s a border town . As for the drone boats that the Houthis are using, thank Russia for that. They captured part or a whole Ukrainian drone boat and I’m sure the plans were sent to Iran that day!
I'll suggest that the video footage made it back as they will not have the tech to transmit that grade of footage back. So they got there drone back on these occasions.
Hobby drones have this level of quality if not better and think you still keep the footage of drone is lost. Like maviks that were used in Ukraine for so long for example
