I'm seeing a lot of offended parents commenting regarding the Uppababy and Lovevery. She did not say that this is what you MUST buy to be a great mom. I am 38 weeks tomorrow. And your videos have been 10x more helpful than any family, friend or doctor at this point. I’ve done nothing but binge watch your videos the last three days. Thank you for being so informative!
Everytime I watch your videos I'm like "how are these free!?" So informative without being boring! Love it! Thank you so much, as a first time mom who doesn't have my own mom in my life I truly appreciate all of the information you've provided me with!
With my first kid, I went the cheap route with everything mainly because I was in school and not working. Our cheap car seat/ stroller system was always a pain to install/ maneuver even though it was new. We really got what we paid for lol. With my second kid, I did splurge on some items to make it easier on me because now I am having a new born and a toddler to take care of. Bottom line, if you can afford it and you want it, go for it. Not everything is ‘essential’ for baby but it sure makes it easier on mom.
I’d like to recommend the Graco Modes Travel System. Affordable, safe, and the stroller is so versatile because it lays flat and can face back or forward 🙌🏼
Actually, any rated car seat is fine, regardless of the price. The best car seat is the one that fits your budget, works for your family, and is installed correctly. I think the necessity here is seeing a car seat tech to make sure your seat is installed correctly - most of us are making some mistakes. 😊
Came here to say this too! They all pass the same safety tests. It’s also important that it fits in your car and that it’s bought new and cared for properly.
Yessss! I would say that a more expensive carseat is likely more advanced, making it likely easier to instal, which means that it is harder to make mistakes.
I came here to say this too. Also remember that if you get in a fender bender or more serious car accident you have to replace all car seats. Just because it is convertible up to age 5 doesn’t mean you’ll get all 5 years of use. Better to choose your based on your lifestyle and budget. More expensive may be a bit easier to install but at the end of the day they’re more or less the same. Also- your local fire station can help install your car seat perfect and for free
Also, Babylist has a swaddle box with different swaddles to try. Every baby is different and may prefer one over another. My baby hated the arms up swaddles but loved the halo swaddle.
We just purchased the Nuna Pippa travel system and I'm highly impressed with how easy it was to assemble. The functionality is simple and easy. I didn't want to be struggling with buckles and latches. And everything is simple, easy, and secure. The quality is amazing. Can't wait to use for our little one coming in August. Worth the investment to me. And compared to the cost of other travel systems this wasn't much money more and provided way more functions.
I clicked on this video so fast! Your videos are so relaxing and calming yet so informative. 💕 This pregnant mama is loving all of your advice and tips even with my second baby on the way you have taught me so much ❤️💕
I’m so glad to see someone recommending the mamaroo!! I wanted it so bad with my first but couldn’t afford it. So I said this time around I was DEFINITELY getting one. And after purchasing it, I started seeing so many moms say that their babies didn’t like it and it was a waste of money for them. So I started getting a little scared that I got something my baby wouldn’t like! It’s nice to finally hear a good review of it. 🖤🖤
I got the new chicco travel system because as a new mom of my 2nd baby I'm all about simplicity and convertible....less to buy because you constantly need change as baby grow. I'm also into affordability but I will spend more to get the as baby grow items since you'll need it I also prefer things that I will depend less on I'm just not into the high tech stuff but great options and start off. *If your BF a must is a elc bump or manual
My daughter is 3, when she was a newborn/baby, we bought the Mesa and it made her back super weird and she was like, choking herself scrunched down.. Tried the Nuna, and same thing.. We ended up getting the Chicco KeyFit then her next one was the Maxi-Cosi Pria, and it's amazing.. Not as expensive at all, but that doesn't mean it's not as safe.. So to some degree, I disagree with that statement. The Visa though.. That's my love haha, my absolute favorite stroller ever. Also, my husband got me my dream and extremely expensive rocking chair because he was deploying the first year of our daughter's life, and obviously he felt guilty, ha, but it was the BEST thing ever.
dont forget to check out craigslist or fb marketplace for these items! We spent $50-100 on a super comfy gently used glider for the nursery, had it professionally cleaned for $100 & will be using it for baby 2.

Totally agree with you and all new moms should hear this!!!! Get what is within your budget, any carseat sold in America has to pass the same safety tests. My first had car sickness every ride his first 6 or so years and I had to replace carseats constantly because covers only last so many washes so consider this a possibility as well!! Same with babies who have tons of diaper blow outs, may need to replace the carseat anyways at some point so make sure you buy knowing that is a possibility!! Also if you don't plan on doing lots of walking I think you can get by without a travel system. My first we never used the stroller it was such a wasted item, he walked early, by 6 months and never wanted to be in it. My second we did get an evenflo travel system because we now live in a city and dont own a car and do tons of walking. My 3rd will be 14 months apart from the second and we're upgrading to a double evenflo system because it's compatable with my daughters carseat she already has and will most likely still be using. We ride in a car maybe twice a month so I thought buying an expensive car seat was excessive personally. Just remember there is nothing wrong with buying a cheaper carseat. One thing to consider though is the weight range, if you are having a preemie you need to be sure it will get down small enough. My daughter was 4lbs 3oz and her carseat started at 4lbs but tightening It down that small was a bit tricky honestly. On the other end, If you've already had a baby and know you have bigger fast growing babies look for one that has a bigger weight or height range. I think size is way more important than price as far as safety is concerned.
Hi @bridget I watch all of your videos and would love to know your opinion on a baby carrier. I have seen the wraps, and slings you recommended. But I am wondering what or if you’d recommend a more “backpack” style carrier for an active lifestyle? For example the baby Bjorn carriers, ergo baby, etc.
Great video! I wanted to also let you know that the last two product links in your description are the same link to the 4moms product. The 2-in-1 Summer Bouncer and Rocker is not linking to that product.
I absolutely love nuna products. We plan on having two kids and went ahead and bought stroller that can accommodate both kids and convertible. We didn’t worry about the price because quality and plan on using these products next 5-6 years made it completely worth it.
I know a lot of people are saying any car seat is fine, but as someone who suffered a back injury as a child and is now wheelchair bound because of a bad car seat, they are not all created equal!
Thank you for sharing this video! I planned to do a video on this topic as well on my channel! I love helping other mommas on their motherhood journeys as well❤️!
All car seats pass the same extensive safety testing . Anything beyond that is comfort or convince features. You’re not a CPST . Only a CPST should be trusted with car seat safety and recommendations based on what a specific family wants or needs .
While that is technically true, just like all cars are road legal, but there is a big difference between having one with all types of safety systems, vs one with the bare minimum. When I picked a seat I watched many crash testing for the car seats and there is a big difference especially when you look at side impacts. A budget car seat may be road legal, but when you crash with 50+ mph you want the best protection. Most of the crash tests are done anywhere between 25-35 mph.
@@vanyajelezarova7374 to add to this: Not all car seats are created equal. We have crash tests here in Canada, each seat tested 10 times, any seat that comes off its base once (or more) out of 10 times isn’t safe enough for my child. And many big brands are on that list.
Just going to point out that although pacifiers reduce the risk of sids, pacifiers attached to stuffed animals are not safe for sleep and as an educator you should edit the video to make that clear ❤️
Neither in my experience! I love a good soft structured carrier. I have a Tula Free to Grow which is totally adjustable and can be used from birth, and I love it! Much more secure and supportive for my back, and way easier to get on and off.
Quite disappointed you're pushing these overpriced and overhyped products on new parents. My son has been sleeping through the night since he was 2.5 months old without special swaddles, wubbanubs or a $100 sound machine. Even a good car seat does not need to be this outrageously expensive. Sorry but not a great video.
Well I will be neutral here for her its affordable for me or others no ... She suggested the best of her choices but it doesn't mean my wallmart car seat will not do its job ;) Most important is love and mama's milk which is priceless! ;) !!!

Oml, good for you but if I had the money and was about to have a baby then I am DEFINITELY spending a few extra hundred dollars if it will possibly help me and them get more sleep. Get over yourself, not everything is about you and not every baby sleeps as well as your kid. Also if you seriously can't afford basic things like diapers then you all shouldn't be having kids yet. Stop being all defensive and acting like babies for no reason. Someone says "sound machines help my baby sleep" and you somehow hear "poor parents don't love their kids"
PSA: you may want to return all those cute scratch mittens and newborn clothes that don't have built-in hand covers. Newborns come equipped with a full set of tiny, razor-sharp fingernails that are far too small to clip for the first few weeks. Scratch mittens are worse than useless - my baby figured out how to shuck hers within hours of birth, and there was no time for me to constantly be on mitten patrol between feeding, changing, and napping. Unless you like watching your baby cry every time they scratch their adorable little face, they're going to be spending most of their time during those early weeks in onesies or sleep gowns that have built-in mittens.
I'm here to say that sound machine is addictive and you should just buy 2 for when they go in their own room. You'll want one... Edit: there's this little owl shaped portable sound machine on Amazon that is much cheaper than the actual Shusher and it makes the same noise and several other noises! And it's a night light. And it's the BEST
@@Xanxer it's not the design. It's the shhhhhh noise. It sounds like blood flow in the womb. They have a brand that only makes that noise and it's like 40$. It works super well and not many make that noise. Which is weird
Help me Bridget, my 2 month old cries everytime i put him on his crib. We are co sleeping (not bed sharing). What do you think are the possible reasons? And also how to make him take full feeding and what are the signs he's full. Thanks in advance
You are you babe's safe place! Think evolutionarily - a baby with their parents is safe from predators, alone they are vulnerable. As hard as what you're experiencing is, it's totally normal infant sleep. Check out @heysleepybaby on Instagram.
First of all, any car seat you can afford is just as safe, as long as it's installed correctly. Second, DO NOT let your baby sleep in a swing! Positional asphyxiation is silent and invisible, it doesn't matter if you are "supervising" or not. I'm not sure if that backpack "bassinet" is safe for sleep. The post on Amazon doesn't show any safety ratings. Stop swaddling at 8 weeks old or first signs of rolling - whichever comes first. Wubbanub - super cute but not safe for sleep. Only a regular pacifier can be in the crib or bassinet with baby. People with large platforms need to stop promoting things that are unsafe and get on board with the AAP to do their part to keep babies safe! P.S. You don't need to spend all that money on LoveEvery to be a good parent and have a happy baby!
It's perfectly safe for baby to get in their mouth ☺️ if you're concerned it's easy to just wipe it off before feeding (I was but that concern melted away super quickly after a few days of breastfeeding a newborn on demand lol)
The rotating car seats are not safe 💜 someone just got into a car accident and the top part of the seat ended up in the back of the car. Thank goodness the baby wasn't in the car.
@@k.k.k.k.k.k.k.ke. yeah. I’m on baby #2 but I feel like these channels recommend items that are ridiculously priced. You could easily go to Ross & find one for probably 20 bucks & it’ll be just fine. I love these videos but it is a little disappointing when they make it out like they’re trying to distress parents & then recommend some outrageously priced items. Most expensive things you should be getting baby is a bed & car seat imo.
Hellow.. I had my first premature baby with placenta previa.. Could you please tell will it reoccur if I am planning for my next pregnancy? I also found to be diabetic in my third trimester.. Kindly guide
Hey momma, I’m a doula as well. You might not necessarily have it again in your next pregnancy, but since you’ve had it once already you do have a higher chance of it happening again than say, a woman who’s never had it. Hope that helps momma🙏🏿! I offer more pregnancy/birthing tips on my channel as well🤗!
Such an entitled and privileged position.🙄 Safe car seats are available in a variety of price ranges. Implying that parents who can't afford a Nuna or Uppababy car seat care less about their child's safety is deplorable. The important thing to know when purchasing a car seat is whether or not it meets federal safety standards. All car seats tested by NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Association) meet federal safety guidelines.
Ya as a new mom expecting triplets some of these recommendations are just not economical. I hate the "must haves" aspect you're pushing. What works for your baby might not work for mine.
Um ... okay? So therefore she shouldn't suggest it just in case it works for other people's kids? It might not work so therefore she shouldn't make the video at all lol, okay
She could have been given all these products but that’s not a sponsor. Legally you have to check a box when you upload your videos with RUclips saying if it’s sponsored or not. A sponsor sends you a products and then pays you for the video you make with said product. No companies are going to sponsor the same video with seven other companies But I agree all these products she recommended are way too expensive for most first time parents.

Edit: there's this little owl shaped portable sound machine on Amazon that is much cheaper than the actual Shusher and it makes the same noise and several other noises! And it's a night light. And it's the BEST
I think you can get non-baby themed noise machines that have rain, white noise, forest sounds for significantly less than a baby-centric noise machine
@@Xanxer it's not the design. It's the shhhhhh noise. It sounds like blood flow in the womb. They have a brand that only makes that noise and it's like 40$. It works super well and not many make that noise. Which is weird
I use an app on my phone that’s free
@@ASMRKay_ I work off of my phone so I had to bite the bullet there 🥴
I was under the impression that, the backpack bassinet lounger thingy was unsafe
I bought so many swaddle items and also tried it wirh our midwife and our baby hated it so much , non of them worked for us .
I got the same baby bag as a gift lol I'm due October 13🎃🍂
Are those strollers non-toxic?
What size birth ball do you recommend?
Birth ball sizing depends on your height
It will say when you buy it based on your height. For reference I’m 5’5” and use a 65cm
You won’t be getting a double stroller since you have a toddler??
The Uppa Baby has adapters so you can use two seats on it. 😁
Is lanolin edible for babies? What if baby gets it in his mouth while nursing?
It's perfectly safe for baby to get in their mouth ☺️ if you're concerned it's easy to just wipe it off before feeding (I was but that concern melted away super quickly after a few days of breastfeeding a newborn on demand lol)
The rotating car seats are not safe 💜 someone just got into a car accident and the top part of the seat ended up in the back of the car. Thank goodness the baby wasn't in the car.
I’m 34 weeks this video came in clutch
I feel like everything you put on this list is the expensive version
And you’re an amazing mom without any of this stuff ❤️
Bruh. Not a 140 dollar play gym..
It just keeps getting worse, lmao. It can feel so overwhelming, but I leave it in God's hands.
@@hellyherbivore9911 Totally agree! And you can get 90% of what you need second hand also! the only thing we got new was our car seat and stroller.
Right?? I understand mentioning a play gym or play mat, but specifically the Lovevery play gym? C'mon...
I bought the lovevery play gym 😬. And now realize what a mistake I’ve made. There are so many similar options for under $50.
BRIDGEY MY WIFE JUST HAD A NEWBORN BABY GIRL KATE
@@ShadesofSage thanks i just subscribed your channel
@@zahrakashif4515 Yay 🤗! Thank you so much 🥰!
Why do people ask the internet questions they should be asking their doctors…
I just found out number 2
The CC is in Korean?!
The subtitles are in Korean
Such an entitled and privileged position.🙄 Safe car seats are available in a variety of price ranges. Implying that parents who can't afford a Nuna or Uppababy car seat care less about their child's safety is deplorable. The important thing to know when purchasing a car seat is whether or not it meets federal safety standards. All car seats tested by NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Association) meet federal safety guidelines.
Honestly, I feel the same way.
Stop being so dramatic lol
Witching hours?!?
Idk why Im watching this Im a poor mom lolol 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Ya as a new mom expecting triplets some of these recommendations are just not economical. I hate the "must haves" aspect you're pushing. What works for your baby might not work for mine.
Um ... okay? So therefore she shouldn't suggest it just in case it works for other people's kids? It might not work so therefore she shouldn't make the video at all lol, okay
I feel this video is more commercial than sharing a genuine parent advise .. sorry to say that
You can go cheap on a car seat
All sponsored products
She could have been given all these products but that’s not a sponsor. Legally you have to check a box when you upload your videos with RUclips saying if it’s sponsored or not. A sponsor sends you a products and then pays you for the video you make with said product. No companies are going to sponsor the same video with seven other companies
But I agree all these products she recommended are way too expensive for most first time parents.
