I've decided to try a different format this time and instead of doing post commentary on the footage, I've edited down my first live stream of the year and therefore you get my immediate reaction to how things were unfolding. Hope you'll enjoy!

Overclocking potential depends mostly on CPU stepping. Yours P4 2.0 has B0 (first one) and they usually max out between 2.4 - 2.6 GHz at 1.6 V (ofc there might be a "golden" chips which will do a bit more). On other hand yours P4 2.4 is C1, which allows for significally better overclock and I'd expect 2.7 - 3.0 GHz @ 1.6 V.
But if you really want to have nice overclock results, look for Northwoods with D0 or M0 stepping like: P4 2.26 (SL6PB, SL7V9) or 2.4 (533 FSB: SL6PC, SL6Q8). They will easilly break 3.0 GHz barrier. My 2.4 does (IIRC) 3.2 GHz on stock voltage.

Yeah I figured it had to do with stepping, I've never really delved deep into the world of steppings, thanks for the info.
However I'm very happy with how the overclock turned out. I may try to see how far I can push the FSB on this motherboard, but that's a project for another day.

@@ocworkshop I guess that yours ABIT should be able to do 200 MHz FSB (or maybe even a bit better) but ofc you'll need a CPU with low multiplier like P4 `C` (like 2.4C, 2.6C...) or mobile Northwoods.

@@lukasz_st One other solution would be to use an 800MHz FSB Northwood P4, like a 3.2GHz one and it would normally boot at 1.6GHz @ 400FSB or 2.1GHz @ 533MHz FSB then start raising it.

Got a lga 775 pentium 4 3.4 ghz going stable at 4.3 ghz on a asus p5p800. Seems like the later pentium 4s did still improve a little.

today a client left a IBM thinkcentre to recover some files and later do whatever i want with the computer. Inside i found a 2.8Ghz 400mhz SL7EY. I didnt even knew they existed, even in cpu world it says "Pentium 4 2.8 GHz / 400FSB / Northwood (difficult to find)
Pentium 4 3 GHz / 400FSB / Northwood (impossible to find / may not work)"
